00:00Samantala, wala nakikita ang impact sa OFW remittances na nagpapatuloy na girian ng Israel at ng Iran.

00:07Ayon kay Palas Press Officer Claire Castro, batay na rin sa report ng Department of Finance.

00:14Sa ngayon ay limitado pa ang epekto ng naturang kaguluhan.

00:18Batay kasi sa datos, 0.03% lang ang bahagi ng kabuhang remittances ng bansa na nagbula pa sa Israel at Iran nitong 2024.

00:29Gay ba na minadong opisyal sa epekto ng tensyon sa Middle East pagdating sa presyo ng krudo at household consumption,

00:38matatanda ang una ng tiniyak ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. na nag-aandang pamaraan sa posibleng pagsirit ng presyo ng krudo.

00:47Nakausap po natin si Yusek Alu ng DOF at sinasabi po niya sa ngayon po ay wala pa pong impact na ganon sa OFW remittances.

01:02Ang sabi po niya, and I quote,

01:04the impact on remittances remains limited for now.

01:09Given the remittances from Israel and Iran amounted to 106.4 million US dollars in 2024,

01:180.03% of total remittances.

01:21However, an escalation that could include the rest of the Middle East will have a substantial effect on overall remittances.

01:38at maapektuhan mas malamang ang household consumption at ang economy growth prospect.

01:48Yun po ang sasabi niya.

01:49Dari kadalasan po kapag tumataas ang presyo ng krudo, tumataas din po ang bilihin.
