Take a Big Walk with your friends – and get lost (or simply hang out) in a weird, playful world. It's all about communication, whether solving problems or simply watching the sunset together.

00:00Hello. We're House House. You might know us because of our Goose Game.

00:06And we're here today to show you around our new game.

00:10It's a cooperative multiplayer adventure made for friends to play together.

00:15It's called Big Walk.

00:20It's a tricky game to describe, but it's mainly about doing two things, talking and walking.

00:26So talking, it's a big part of Big Walk, and we've put a lot of work into making a proximity voice chat system that feels natural and playful.

00:34You'll sound different if you're speaking up close.

00:36Hello.

00:37Or far away.

00:39Or in a tunnel.

00:43Or over a walkie talkie.

00:45Hello.

00:46Over.

00:47Or behind soundproof glass.

00:50In a situation like this, where you can't hear each other, you'll need to find other ways to communicate.

00:55So we've given you lots of ways to point and gesture.

00:58Oh, there they are.

00:59And plenty of tools to stay in touch when you're out of earshot.

01:04And if you can't use voice chat, or you just don't feel like it, we've also made a proximity text chat system.

01:09So you can play the entire game that way as well.

01:14The game is set in a big open world that we've filled with all kinds of stuff.

01:18To see it all, you'll need to go for a big walk.

01:24Exploring as part of a group is a special feeling.

01:27Our chat system makes it important to stick together.

01:29So navigating the world of big walk requires lots of teamwork and talking.

01:33Oh, that's not like pause.

01:35As you explore, you can split up and go off on your own adventures.

01:38Or even lose each other accidentally.

01:40When you're apart, you won't be able to talk face to face.

01:43And so finding your way back together isn't always straightforward.

01:48If you get lost in the bush, don't worry.

01:53You'll find plenty of ways to stay in touch and find each other again.

02:10This building behind me has a challenge in it.

02:13Completing challenges like these is the way you make progress through the game.

02:16They're all about teamwork and they're all a little bit different.

02:19A lot of them are designed so that you find funny and surprising new ways to talk.

02:23You might need to do some miming.

02:25Or come up with a special code.

02:27Or even sing to each other.

02:29So you want to find a speaker that's like...

02:35They're not all about talking though.

02:37There's a bit of platforming in there.

02:39Some sports.

02:40And some weirder stuff too.

02:42Our challenges are open ended.

02:44And leave plenty of room for you to do things your own way.

02:47Like the rest of the game, challenges in big walk are about the joy of muddling through things together.

02:53So that's big walk.

02:55There's heaps to see and do.

02:57But there's also lots of room to just hang out in between.

02:59We think there's some real magic that happens when you forget your plans.

03:03And find yourselves doing something else entirely.

03:05You can sit and watch the sunset.

03:07Tell stories as you wait for the night to pass.

03:13Or you could steal your friends' binoculars.

03:16And kick them into the ocean.
