00:00As you're making your decision on Iran, obviously there's been a change from when you were pursuing a diplomatic negotiation.
00:06Now you seem very open to the idea of potentially taking U.S. action.
00:10Obviously you're not going to tell us that.
00:11Can you walk us through what contributed to that change, how you got to where you are in making your decision now?
00:17Well, I think it started the first night.
00:19I mean, you know, that first night was devastating.
00:21And it really knocked the one side off, as you know.
00:25It was a devastating, devastating evening, day, and pretty much proceeded that way.
00:33I have a meeting in the war room in a little while, situation room, as some people call it.
00:40So we're going to meet, we're going to see.
00:42We're in the midst of a, it's a terrible thing.
00:44I hate to see it.
00:45I hate to see all that death, so much death and destruction.
00:48But death primarily, that's what I hate to see.
00:51Does that mean you haven't made a decision yet on what to do?
00:54I have ideas as to what to do, but I haven't made a final.
00:58I like to make the final decision one second before it's due, you know, because things change.
01:02I mean, especially with war, things change with war.
01:05It can go from one extreme to the other.
01:08War is, war is very bad.
01:10There was no reason for this to be a war.
01:11There was no reason for Russia, Ukraine.
01:14A lot of wars there was no reason for, you know.
01:16With Iran, what's your message to Americans, both here and abroad, who are not only concerned about the U.S. potentially getting involved in another conflict in the Middle East, but worry about the potential for retaliation here at home?
01:28Well, I don't want to get involved either, but I've been saying for 20 years, maybe longer, that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.
01:35I've been saying it for a long time, and I think they were a few weeks away from having one.
01:40And they had to sign a document.
01:42I think they wish they signed it now.
01:44It was a fair deal.
01:46And now it's a harder thing to sign, you know.
01:48It's a lot of water over the dam.
01:51But, you know, it's very, I say it very simply.
01:55Iran can't have a nuclear weapon.
01:58Too much devastation.
02:00And they'd use it, you know.
02:01I believe they'd use it.
02:02Others won't use it, but I believe they'd use it.
02:05So that's it.
02:06It's very simple, as far as I'm concerned.
02:08They can't have a nuclear weapon.
02:09And I think they were a few weeks away from having one.
02:14And they had to sign a document.
02:16I think they wish they signed it now.
02:18Is the destruction or the dismantling of the Fordow Nuclear Enrichment Center, is that a prerequisite for a deal?
02:24Is that a red line for you?
02:25No, it's just something that people talk about having.
02:28We're the only ones that have the capability to do it.
02:30But that doesn't mean I'm going to do it at all.
02:33You know, we have the best military equipment in the world.
02:35You see that with this fight.
02:37We have planes that are undetectable, flying around like, you know, nobody's able to see them stealth.
02:45You guys want to be stealthy tonight.
02:47You know, you can be stealthy and never lose, right?
02:49But these are incredible planes and weapons.
02:52We have the best weapons in the world, by far.
02:56Nobody close.
02:57And we're, I mean, certain countries take advantage of that.
03:02Israel has incredible weaponry.
03:04So we'll see what happens.
03:06I have not, I have not, I've been asked about it by everybody, but I haven't made a decision.
03:12A good agreement for them.
03:14And maybe that could still happen, I guess.
03:17You know, they do want to come and see us.
03:18They want to see me in the White House.
03:19That's a big statement.
03:20You know, they want to see me in the White House.
