00:06A tag team clash on the way.
00:13This is a tag team bounce in for one fall with a 20-minute time limit approaching the ring.
00:31The team of Penelope Ford and Megan Bane.
00:37A very ominous entrance for Penelope Ford and Megan Bane.
00:42Taz, a formidable tag team that have basically laid everyone to waste that has stepped in their path.
00:50But last week it was Anna Jay. It seemed bleak.
00:54It seems like it would be the end of her career until Ty Mello, seeing her for the first time in more than two years intervening on behalf of her good friend Anna Jay.
01:06Yeah, definitely a shocking moment. Great to see Ty back.
01:10And I think Adam was more happy than anybody that Ty came back.
01:13Because Adam was in a lot of trouble, Ian.
01:15Certainly was.
01:17This formidable duo of Megan Bane, Penelope Ford.

01:42Ty Mello and Anna Jay, very experienced as a duo.
01:47I mean, they've competed in some of the gnarliest matches, street fights that we've seen here in AEW.
01:55Their toughness is without question.
01:58But the question now becomes with a two-year layoff from the ring, what shape is Ty Mello and especially in the face of opposition like Penelope Ford and Megan Bane.
02:10And I have a question for you, Taz.
02:11I mean, Ty Mello and Anna Jay, the formidable duo that they are.
02:16But they have a long history, Taz, with Penelope Ford.
02:19And now Penelope Ford kind of comes in with their own secret weapon in the Megasys.
02:22Absolutely.
02:23And Megasys makes a big difference.
02:25Excalibur and I've called many a matches of Ty Mello and Anna Jay, you know, as a duo.
02:30But I understand what you guys are saying about a two-year layoff for Ty.
02:33But the thing is with her, she's a legit judoka.
02:36You know, a tremendous athlete even before she was a professional wrestler.
02:41Yes, if you come to AEW relatively recently, in the last two years or so, Ty Mello, to Taz's point, quite nearly an Olympic-level judo player.

02:53But Penelope Ford, Anna Jay going down, and Ty Mello and Megan Bane, the Megasys.

03:24I gotta tell you, Penelope, very smart, not just as an in-ring competitor, but outside the ring, to align yourself with someone like Bane, who's just a dominant force.
03:33I mean, since it was the beginning of the year when Megan Bane really burst out onto the scene here in AEW.
03:41And since then, to Tez's point, has just been dominant.
03:44And that is thanks in large part, not only to her own strength, but also to that woman, the hyper-athletic Penelope Ford.

03:53And the alliance has been built.
03:56It's been one of mutual benefit, but it's Anna Jay now.

05:24You can see there's not much energy in her at the moment.
05:27Sometimes something like this that Penelope's doing could wake you up.

05:39And this is where, if the ring rust isn't an issue, Taz, it's the familiarity, it's the instincts of the anticipation of what your partner is gonna do.
05:50I mean, that's tough to recreate, especially against a team like Penelope Ford and Megan Bain, who's been teaming together so consistently.
05:57Yes, they've become the proverbial well-oiled machine, right?
06:01They have that continuity as a unit, even Megan and Penelope, where it's been a minute since we've seen Anna and tie together.
06:11Maybe she's going over, overhead belly-to-belly suplex there.

07:14Unfortunately, and Taz, you know this as well, once you get an injury, a lasting injury, it's so easy for your opponents to continue to retarget that.

07:24I mean, you know, especially today with the way things are in social media and when you have an injury, a lot of people that kind of let the world know what's going on with this.
07:32You know, which I don't agree with, you know, because then your opponent's gonna know.
07:36I mean, we saw that play out in our opening contest.
