00:00Fueron 436 puntos lo que le dieron la victoria a Austria en Eurovisión 2025
00:07a través de una coreografía y una puesta en escena también que tenía sabor español
00:12con Borja Rueda y Sergio Jaén encargados del show.
00:17Hoy contamos en OK Diario con el ganador de Eurovisión 2025
00:23al que le llaman JJ.
00:26Bienvenido, Johannes.
00:27Gracias, gracias por invitarme.
00:28Primero, bienvenido a España. ¿Cómo estás?
00:31Bien, bien, gracias.
01:15Entonces, el canción came about the frustración.
01:18Sí.
01:19Es sobre mi frustración de just wasting so much love y so much time
01:42I had my final pose cuando I sang the last note y luego la audiencia cheering
01:48y luego feeling esta relief que, you know, es finalmente over.
01:53I can just, you know, relax now and watch my friends perform.
01:56¿Cómo tiempo tenías spent preparing your show, the song,
02:02till you became, JJ is the winner, Austria is the winner of Eurovision 2025?
02:10It took, I think, about like three months.
02:13So we started like in the beginning of March,
02:15so the entire month of March, April and, you know, half of May, basically.
02:19We were working really hard every day.
02:21I came here to Madrid for rehearsals
02:23and then I went to Helsinki for rehearsals and fittings.
02:27So I was traveling a lot, but it was fun.
02:31What was the biggest challenge during the process
02:34to prepare that Eurovision participation with Austria?
02:40I would say being away from home a lot was a big challenge
02:43because, you know, I love to be around my family and my friends
02:45and I was away for a longer period of time
02:48and in Basilea I was away for two weeks.
02:50So that was a bit tough and a tight schedule.
02:53But I must say I have an amazing team who became my family
02:57and therefore it was easier for me to, you know,
02:59do this very long and intense weeks.
03:03With just 18 years old, you've been on the,
03:07you was on the Voice UK.
03:09What a challenge.
03:10Yeah.
03:11What did you learn from a TV show like that,
03:14which is huge,
03:15and with a mogul like Will.i.am?
03:19It was a great experience.
03:20You know, it was my very first television appearance anywhere.
03:25And so it helped me a lot to understand the format of a TV show.
03:30And at the end of the day, you know, Eurovision is very similar.
03:33They have the same schedule, the same routine,
03:35you know, rehearsals, sound checks and everything.
03:37So that made me go through this entire process much more relaxed
03:42because I already knew what was going to happen.
03:46In your opinion, I want you to rate from first to fifth,
03:52in your opinion, the performances of Eurovision 2025.
03:57Oh, amazing.
03:58So I would put, I will exclude myself from this.
04:02So I would put number one, Sissel from Denmark,
04:05because Hallucination, I love the Europe pop song so much.
04:08Then I would put a number two.
04:12I really, really enjoyed Kyle's performance from Norway.
04:17I mean, this is also kind of biased,
04:18because they're my best friends.
04:20I'd also put Mirjana from Malta, number three.
04:22I'd put Erika from Finland, a number four.
04:26And I would actually put Melody up there as well.
04:29I'd put her number five,
04:30because she had an amazing performance.
04:33It's late.
04:33She's crazy.
04:35Like the voice, the dancing, the entire performance, beautiful.
04:41Do you think there's always like a debate
04:44on their votings in Eurovision?
04:47Do you think that politics play a game during that votings,
04:52that the people think first on the politics
04:56than the real talent that they're watching across TV?
05:00Yeah, on a big television show like this,
05:02where multiple countries compete for the win,
05:06it's obvious that many factors are taking into account
05:11in such a huge event.
05:16And so it's very unfortunate,
05:18because Eurovision is actually meant to be a music show.
05:23And so we should continue thinking of that as such.
05:28And the EBU, they will work multiple aspects
05:31throughout the entire year.
05:33So this year they were really focusing on everyone's mental health,
05:37and they did an amazing job.
05:39So we all had a more relaxed time in Basel.
05:43And next year I'm very sure they will work on other things.
05:46We talked about Melody.
05:51What's your thoughts about Spain's performance
05:55versus the votes that we received on the final voting?
06:01Spain did an amazing job.
06:02So Melody had a great performance.
06:04I really enjoyed it so much.
06:06And it's very hard.
06:07You know, there are a lot of great performances
06:08that were there this year.
06:09So it's really hard to put anyone in any position,
06:13because I really enjoyed so much.
06:16So for me it was also hard to, you know,
06:18think who would be my top ten,
06:19or who would be my top five.
06:22But yeah, Melody did an amazing job,
06:25and she can be very proud of herself
06:26that she gave 110% of herself.
06:29Yeah.
06:30Do you have any relation with Spain?
06:34Oh, to be honest,
06:35I mean, my staging director, Sergio Jain,
06:39and Borja, you know,
06:40they are my most, you know,
06:42the nearest connection to Spain.
06:44And I've been here already before,
06:45because my sister, she did an au pair here in Barcelona.
06:49And, of course, the Filipinos.
06:52There's a huge Filipino community here in Spain,
06:54and we have a lot of Spanish words in the Philippines.
06:57We count in Spanish, the time we say in Spanish.
07:00A lot of little stuff like la mesa,
07:02cuchara, tinidor, plato, pantalon,
07:04you know, a lot of Spanish influence.
07:06Do you want to make some collaboration in the future
07:11with any Spanish artist, and who will be?
07:15Oh, I would love to work with Chanel.
07:17With Chanel?
07:17With Chanel.
07:18That's a good choice.
07:19A crazy performer.
07:22I love what she did at Eurovision.
07:24It was amazing,
07:25and deserved that she was very far up in the results.
07:30You started singing very young,
07:33with 18 years old, the voice you came,
07:36and now, with 24 years,
07:38the winner of Eurovision 2025.
07:41That doesn't happen a lot of times.
07:44How changed your life since you won Eurovision?
07:47It changed so much.
07:49So I get recognized a lot on the streets,
07:51or when, you know, I have a very busy schedule now,
07:54so I'm traveling a lot,
07:56which is fun, because I love to be around new people,
07:59love meeting new people,
08:02being around, you know, in different places,
08:05new cities.
08:06So I love to travel,
08:08and, you know, I'm very looking forward
08:11to making new music after this, you know,
08:13entire press tour.
08:16During this year,
08:17till the next Eurovision contest,
08:21you will have a very busy year.
08:25What projects do you have for the upcoming months?
08:29So I'm definitely going to be working on new music,
08:32because that's what everyone deserves,
08:34and I'm looking so much forward
08:36to letting our creative minds flow
08:39and making new music,
08:40and then possibly even going on tour.
08:42That would be amazing.
08:43And then, of course,
08:44preparing for next year's Eurovision.
08:46It's a huge pleasure for me
08:50and for the newspaper to have you here.
08:52You are the first Eurovision winner
08:54that is on the newspaper.
08:57I don't know if,
08:58do you mind to sing for the audience
09:01a little bit of the song
09:03that earned, actually, 436 points.
09:07That's a lot.
09:08That's crazy.
09:09Yeah, of course,
09:10I can sing a part of the first verse.
09:12Wow, that's amazing.
09:27Huge voice.
09:28Thank you.
09:28Thank you so much for coming to OK Diario,
09:31and hope to see you soon,
09:33and we deserve you all the success in the world.
09:36Thank you so, so much,
09:37and thank you for having me here today.
09:38Thank you.
09:38Thank you.
09:42Thank you.
