New Delhi, June 18, 2025, (ANI): BJP MP Tejasvi Surya highlighted India's stance on national security and Kashmir, following a conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and U.S. President Donald Trump. He said, "This is not the first time, but India has always made it clear that in so far as Operation Sindoor was concerned, India's approach was non-escalatory.The world has taken note of the difference in the approach of India and Pakistan. India killed terrorists, but Pakistan killed innocent tourists. So there can be no equivalence between these two nations. In today's conversation, PM Modi has made it clear to the world and the US that what is India's state position be, and so far as the issue of Kashmir or India's relations with Pakistan are concerned, we have also made it clear that the unanimous political voice of India across all political parties is that we do not want any external mediation. 00:00India and Russia have had very strong and time-tested relationship.
00:07The India-Russia Youth Forum and the conversations happening today
00:13is important in the context that India will be chairing the BRIC Summit in the coming year.
00:25There are multiple platforms, bilateral and multilateral,
00:30where India and Russia are collaborating,
00:34especially in the areas of education, technology, aerospace and emerging technologies.
00:40I think this platform particularly, where young people are getting an opportunity to interact,
00:46will open new avenues, new opportunities and horizons for young people to learn from each other
00:51and to also understand what is happening in each other's countries
00:55and how they can work together to strengthen the bilateral
00:59and also work together for the benefit of the world.
01:01First, you visited US as a part of delegation.
01:05We have seen today President Trump and Prime Minister Modi had a conversation
01:10where Prime Minister Modi clarified that we do not need mediation
01:14and it is Pakistan who initiated the call for ceasefire.
01:20We accepted it.
01:21There was no talks about prayer.
01:23How do you see this clarification?
01:24This is not the first time, but India has always made it unequivocally clear
01:37that insofar as Operation Sindhuur was concerned,
01:44India's approach was non-escalatory.
01:47It was with a lot of restraint.
01:49The actions we took were also precise to attack the terrorists
01:55and later the military installations without causing any civilian casualties.
02:01The world has taken note of the difference of approach between India and Pakistan.
02:08While India killed terrorists, Pakistan killed tourists.
02:13Therefore, there cannot be equivalents between the two nations.
02:17In today's conversation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made it abundantly clear
02:23to the world and also to the United States
02:26that what has India's stated position been
02:30and insofar as Kashmir or insofar as India's relationship with Pakistan is concerned,
02:37we have also made it abundantly clear
02:39that the unanimous political voice of India across all political parties
02:45is that we do not want any external mediation.
02:49It will be bilateral and more importantly,
02:52it is even an internal matter for India
02:54because every inch of Kashmir belongs to Bharat.
03:00Our Prime Minister has made this categorically clear
03:02and we stand by the Prime Minister and stand with the government of India
03:06in all of its decisions that it will take.
03:09Pakistan Army Chief is visiting the US and he is expected to meet President Trump today.
03:14What does it say about Pakistan's policy and should we be concerned?
03:17Because the opposition is raising a question about it.
03:20Well, I can only say this much
03:23that even the United States is very clearly aware
03:30of what Pakistan is and what is the nature of Pakistan's diplomacy in the last so many decades.
03:38It is not for the first time that Pakistan or America is dealing with each other.
03:43For almost 10 full years,
03:47Pakistan lied through their teeth to the United States
03:51while protecting Osama bin Laden in its backyard.
03:58Pakistan has time and again proved that they are an unreliable partner.
04:04They are a mercenary nation.
04:06That they are a nation who is ready to rent out their sovereignty for the highest bidder.
04:12They are the epicenter of terrorism.
04:14They are the world's supply chain for terrorists.
04:18And more than 52 UN and US-designated terrorists
04:23even today find safe harbour in Pakistan.
04:27This is very clear to everybody including the United States.
04:31So I am sure whoever is dealing with them
04:34will deal with Pakistan appropriately
04:37keeping all of this context in mind.
04:39Sir, I want to ask you the last question.
04:40Pakistan says the opposition is raising the question
04:43that there was no mention of caste resistance
04:45and there is no notification that was here.
04:46The Home Minister has very clearly clarified
04:50the position of the government of India on this.
04:52There is nothing much that I have to add on this.
