00:00:00In the name of God, the most gracious, the most merciful
00:00:02Alif Lam Mim Sad
00:00:12A Book revealed to you, [O Muhammad], so let there not be in your breast discomfort therefrom, that you may warn thereby and as a reminder to the believers.
00:00:27Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord and do not follow other protectors besides Him. Little do you remember.
00:00:47And how many a town have We destroyed, and Our punishment came upon them by night, or while they were saying,
00:01:02And their only supplication when Our punishment came to them was to say, “Indeed, we were wrongdoers.”
00:01:20We will surely question those to whom messages were sent, and We will surely question the messengers.
00:01:31We will narrate to them with knowledge, and We were not absent.
00:01:44And the weighing on that Day will be for the truth. So those whose scales are heavy - it is those who will be the successful.
00:01:57And those whose scales are light - they are the ones who have lost themselves because they used to wrong Our verses.
00:02:15And We have established you in the land and provided for you therein means of livelihood. Little are you grateful.
00:02:29And We created you, then We formed you, then We said to the angels, “Prostrate to Adam.”
00:02:48So they prostrated, except for Iblis. He was not among those who prostrated.
00:02:57He said: What prevented you from prostrating when I commanded you?
00:03:03He said, "I am better than him. You created me from fire and him from clay."
00:03:16He said, "Then get down from it, for it is not for you to be arrogant therein. So get out. Indeed, you are among the debased."
00:03:29He said, "Give me respite until the Day they are resurrected."
00:03:37He said you are one of the theorists
00:03:44He said, "Because You have put me in error, I will surely sit in wait for them on Your straight path."
00:03:56Then I will come to them from before them and from behind them, and from their right and from their left.
00:04:12You will not find most of them grateful
00:04:18He said, "Get out of it, humiliated and banished."
00:04:24Whoever follows you, I will fill Hell with you all.
00:04:36O Adam, dwell, you and your wife, in Paradise and eat from wherever you will, but do not approach this tree, lest you be among the wrongdoers.
00:04:55Then Satan whispered to them to make apparent to them that which was concealed from them of their private parts.
00:05:05And he said, “Your Lord did not forbid you from this tree except that you should become angels or become of the immortals.”
00:05:27And I swear to you that I am indeed a sincere adviser to you.
00:05:36He led them astray with arrogance
00:05:41So when they tasted of the tree, their private parts became apparent to them, and they began to cover themselves with leaves of Paradise.
00:05:55And their Lord called to them, “Did I not forbid you from that tree and tell you that Satan is to you a clear enemy?”
00:06:16They said, "Our Lord, we have wronged ourselves, and if You do not forgive us and have mercy upon us, we will surely be among the losers."
00:06:32He said, "Go down, some of you enemies to others, and you will have upon the earth a place of settlement and provision for a time."
00:06:46In it you live, in it you die, and from it you will emerge.
00:06:54O children of Adam, We have bestowed upon you clothing to conceal your private parts and as adornment for yourselves.
00:07:07And the clothing of piety is best.
00:07:12This is one of the signs of Allah that perhaps they will remember.
00:07:20O children of Adam, do not let Satan tempt you as he removed your parents from Paradise.
00:07:36To strip them of their clothes and show them their private parts
00:07:44He and his tribe see you from where you do not see them.
00:07:53Indeed, We have made the devils allies to those who do not believe.
00:08:04And if they commit an immorality, they say, “We found our fathers doing it, and God has commanded us to do it.”
00:08:18Say, "God does not command immorality."
00:08:26Do you say about God what you do not know?
00:08:33Say, "My Lord has commanded justice. So direct your faces toward every masjid and call upon Him, devoting your religion to Him sincerely."
00:08:48As you began, you will return
00:08:53A group that has been guided and a group that has been led astray
00:09:00They have taken the devils as allies instead of God and they think that they are guided.
00:09:16O children of Adam, take your adornment at every masjid and eat with honor and do not be excessive. Indeed, He likes not those who commit excess.
00:09:35Say, “Who has forbidden the adornment of Allah which He has produced for His servants and the good things of provision?”
00:09:47Say, “It is for those who believe in this worldly life, exclusively for them on the Day of Resurrection.”
00:09:56Thus do We detail the verses for a people who know.
00:10:06Say, "My Lord has only forbidden indecencies, such of them as are apparent."
00:10:13And what is hidden is sin and oppression without right
00:10:19And that you associate with God that for which He has not sent down any authority.
00:10:30And that you say about God what you do not know
00:10:37And for every nation is a term appointed. When their term comes, they will not remain behind an hour, nor will they come before it.
00:10:55O children of Adam, if they come to you and ask from you, they will relate to you My verses. But whoever fears Allah and does righteous deeds - there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.
00:11:18And those who deny Our verses and are arrogant toward them - those are the companions of the Fire; they will abide therein eternally.
00:11:35Who is more unjust than he who invents a lie against Allah or denies His signs?
00:11:45Those will receive their share of the Book.
00:11:53Until, when Our messengers came to them, taking their souls, they said, “Wherever you were invoking besides God.”
00:12:08They said, "They have strayed from us," and they have built upon themselves that they were disbelievers.
00:12:22They said, "They have entered into the Fire among nations that passed on before you of jinn and mankind."
00:12:39Every time a nation enters, it curses its sister nation until, when they have all overtaken it, the last of them will say to the first of them, “Our Lord.”
00:12:57These have led us astray, so give them a double punishment in the Fire.
00:13:09He said to every weakness but you do not know
00:13:18And the first of them will say to the last of them, "You had no superiority over us, so taste the punishment for what you used to earn."
00:13:35Indeed, those who deny Our signs and are arrogant toward them - the gates of heaven will not be opened for them.
00:13:51They will not enter Paradise until a camel passes through the eye of a needle.
00:14:02And thus do We reward the criminals.
00:14:08They will have beds of Hell and coverings over them.
00:14:19And thus do We reward the wrongdoers.
00:14:25And those who believe and do righteous deeds - We do not charge a soul except [with that within] its capacity.
00:14:36Those are the companions of Paradise; they will abide therein eternally.
00:14:53And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, and rivers will flow beneath them.
00:15:05They said, "Praise be to God who has guided us to this."
00:15:11We would not have been guided had God not guided us.
00:15:21Our Lord's messengers came with the truth.
00:15:27And it will be proclaimed to them, “This is Paradise which you have inherited for what you used to do.”
00:15:42And the companions of Paradise will call out to the companions of the Fire, “We have found what our Lord promised us to be true.”
00:15:58Have you found what your Lord promised to be true?
00:16:04They said yes
00:16:06Then a muezzin called out among them
00:16:10God damn the oppressors
00:16:15Those who turn away from the way of Allah and seek to make it crooked
00:16:25They are disbelievers in the Hereafter.
00:16:31And between them is a veil
00:16:35And on the heights are men who know each person by his mark.
00:16:44And they will call out to the companions of Paradise, “Peace be upon you.”
00:16:52They did not enter it while they were greedy
00:16:59And when their eyes are turned toward the companions of the Fire, they will say, “Our Lord, do not place us with the wrongdoing people.”
00:17:15And the companions of the A'raf will call out to men whom they will recognize by their mark, saying, "Your multitude and your arrogance have not availed you."
00:17:36Are these the ones you swore would not receive God's mercy?
00:17:47Enter Paradise, no fear will there be concerning you, nor will you grieve.
00:17:58And the companions of the Fire will call out to the companions of Paradise, "Pour upon us some water or from whatever Allah has provided you." They will say, "Indeed, Allah has forbidden them both to the disbelievers."
00:18:26Those who take their religion as amusement and diversion, and are deceived by the worldly life.
00:18:38Today, let us forget, as they forgot the meeting of this Day of theirs, and they did not deny Our signs.
00:18:55And We have certainly brought them a Book which We have detailed with knowledge, as guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
00:19:10Do they await except its interpretation? The Day its interpretation comes, those who have forgotten will say,
00:19:22Before, the messengers of our Lord came with the truth. So, are there any intercessors for us?
00:19:39So they intercede for us or we are sent back and do something different from what we were doing
00:19:49They have lost their souls and what they used to invent has gone astray from them.
00:20:01Your Lord is Allah, who created the heavens and the earth in six days.
00:20:12Then He established Himself on the Throne, covering the night with the day.
00:20:24He seeks it urgently, and the sun, the moon, and the stars are subject to His command.
00:20:34To Him belongs creation and command. Blessed be God, Lord of the worlds.
00:20:45Call upon your Lord humbly and privately. Indeed, He does not like aggressors.
00:20:57And do not cause corruption on the earth after its reformation, and leave it in fear and hope.
00:21:08God's mercy is near to the doers of good.
00:21:16And it is He who sends the winds as good tidings before His mercy.
00:21:25Even if it carried a cloud, they said, “We drove it to a dead land.”
00:21:37Then We sent down water from it and brought forth thereby all kinds of fruits.
00:21:54Thus do We bring forth the dead that you may remember.
00:22:04And the good land produces its vegetation by permission of its Lord.
00:22:10And what is evil comes out only as bad.
00:22:15Thus do We diversify the signs for a people who are grateful.
00:22:24We sent Noah to his people, and he said, “O my people!
00:22:31Worship God, you have no god but Him.
00:22:36I fear for you the punishment of a terrible Day.
00:22:44The leaders of his people said, "Indeed, we see you in clear error."
00:22:55He said, "O my people, there is no error in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds."
00:23:08I convey to you the messages of my Lord and advise you, and I know from God what you do not know.
00:23:20Or do you wonder that there has come to you a reminder from your Lord through a man from among you to warn you and that you may fear God and that you may receive mercy?
00:23:42But they denied him, so We saved him and those with him in the ship, and We drowned those who denied Our signs.
00:23:55They were a blind people.
00:24:01And to Aad We sent their brother Hud. He said, “O my people, worship God; you have no deity other than Him. Then will you not fear God?”
00:24:17The disbelieving leaders among his people said, “Indeed, we see you in foolishness, and indeed, we think you are among the liars.”
00:24:34He said, "O my people, there is no madness in me, but I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds."
00:24:47I convey to you the messages of my Lord, and I am a faithful advisor to you.
00:24:56Or do you wonder that a reminder has come to you from your Lord through a man from among you to warn you?
00:25:09And remember when He made you successors after the people of Noah and increased you in stature.
00:25:22So remember the blessings of Allah that you may succeed.
00:25:31They said, “Have you come to us so that we should worship God alone and abandon what our fathers used to worship? Then bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the truthful.”
00:25:52He said, “There has fallen upon you defilement and wrath from your Lord.”
00:26:00Do you argue with me about names which you and your fathers have named, for which God has sent down no authority?
00:26:20Wait, I am with you among those who wait.
00:26:31So We saved those with him by mercy from Us, and We eliminated the root of those who denied Our signs and were not believers.
00:26:51And to Thamud We sent their brother Salih. He said, “O my people, worship God; you have no deity other than Him.”
00:27:04There has come to you clear evidence from your Lord. This is the she-camel of God as a sign to you, so leave her to graze in God’s land and do not touch her with harm, lest a painful punishment seize you.
00:27:30And remember when He made you successors after the 'Aad and settled you in the land, taking for you palaces from its plains.
00:27:46And He settled you in the land, you take for yourselves palaces from its plains and carve out houses from the mountains.
00:28:00So remember the blessings of Allah and do not commit abuse on the earth, spreading corruption.
00:28:10The eminent ones among his people who were arrogant said to those who were oppressed among them, “Do you know that Salih is a messenger from his Lord?”
00:28:28They said, "Indeed, we believe in that with which he was sent."
00:28:37Those who were arrogant said, "Indeed, we disbelieve in those you believe in."
00:28:51So they hamstrung the she-camel and rebelled against the command of their Lord and said, “O Salih, bring us what you promise us, if you should be of the messengers.”
00:29:10Then the tremor seized them, and they lay prostrate in their homes.
00:29:19Then he turned away from them and said, “O my people, I have conveyed to you the message of my Lord and given you sincere advice, but you do not like those who are fair.”
00:29:37And Lot, when he said to my people, “Do you commit such immorality as no one has ever committed before you among the worlds?”
00:29:52Indeed, you approach men with desire instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people.
00:30:11And the only answer of his people was that they said, “Expel them from your city. Indeed, they are people who keep themselves pure.”
00:30:30So We saved him and his family, except his wife; she was among those who remained behind.
00:30:42And We rained down upon them a rain. Then see how was the end of the criminals.
00:30:55And to Madyan [We sent] their brother Shu`ayb. He said, “O my people, worship God; you have no deity other than Him.”
00:31:08There has come to you clear evidence from your Lord, so give full measure and weight and do not deprive people of their due.
00:31:24And do not cause corruption on the earth after its reformation.
00:31:29That is better for you, if you are believers.
00:31:39And do not sit on every path, threatening and averting from the way of Allah those who believe in Him and seeking to make it crooked.
00:31:55And remember when you were few and He made you many. And see how was the end of the corrupters.
00:32:10And if there is a party among you who believes in that with which I have been sent and a party who does not believe, then be patient until God judges between us. And He is the best of judges.
00:32:36The arrogant leaders among his people said, "We will surely expel you, O Shu'aib, and those who have believed with you from our city, or you must return to our religion."
00:32:57He said, "We were haters."
00:33:03We would have fabricated a lie against Allah if we returned to your religion after Allah had saved us from it.
00:33:16And we will not return to it unless God, our Lord, wills.
00:33:30Our Lord knows everything
00:33:35In God we trust
00:33:39Our Lord, judge between us and our people in truth, for You are the best of judges.
00:33:50And the leaders of his people who disbelieved said, "If you follow Shu'aib, you will surely be losers."
00:34:05Then the tremor seized them, and they lay prostrate in their homes.
00:34:14Those who denied Shuaib, as if they had never prospered therein.
00:34:22Those who denied Shuaib were the losers.
00:34:32Then he turned away from them and said, “O my people, I have conveyed to you the messages of my Lord and given you sincere advice.”
00:34:43How can I feel sorry for a disbelieving people?
00:34:52And We did not send to any city any prophet
00:35:00Except that We seized its people with poverty and hardship that perhaps they would humble themselves.
00:35:14Then We replaced the bad with good until they pardoned and said,
00:35:23Even they pardoned and said, “Our fathers have been touched by hardship and prosperity.”
00:35:35Then We seized them suddenly while they did not perceive.
00:35:43And if only the people of the towns had believed and feared Allah, We would have opened upon them blessings from the heaven and the earth.
00:35:59But they denied, so We seized them for what they were earning.
00:36:12Do the people of the towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come to them at night while they are asleep?
00:36:26Do the people of the towns feel secure that Our punishment will not come to them at night while they are playing?
00:36:39Do they feel secure from the plan of Allah? But none feels secure from the plan of Allah except the losing people.
00:36:53Did He not guide those who disperse among the people of the land that if We willed, We could afflict them for their sins?
00:37:08And We set a seal upon their hearts, so they do not hear.
00:37:15We relate to you some of their news.
00:37:24And indeed, their messengers had come to them with clear proofs, but they were not to believe in what they had denied before.
00:37:37Thus God seals the hearts of the unbelievers.
00:37:46We did not find any covenant for most of them.
00:37:52And we found most of them to be wicked.
00:38:00Then after them We sent Moses with Our signs to Pharaoh and his chiefs, but they wronged them.
00:38:16So see how was the end of the corruptors
00:38:22Moses said, "O Pharaoh, I am a messenger from the Lord of the worlds."
00:38:35I swear to say nothing about God except the truth
00:38:44I have come to you with clear evidence from your Lord, so send with me the Children of Israel.
00:38:58He said: If you have come with a sign, then produce it, if you should be of the truthful.
00:39:12Then he threw down his staff, and behold, it was a clear serpent.
00:39:21He withdrew his hand and it was white to the onlookers.
00:39:31The leaders of Pharaoh's people said, "This is indeed a learned magician."
00:39:43He wants to expel you from your land, so what do you command?
00:39:54They said: Postpone him and his brother, and send gatherers to the cities.
00:40:05They bring you every learned magician.
00:40:11And the magicians came to Pharaoh and said, "Indeed, we will have a reward if we are the victors."
00:40:28He said, "Yes, and indeed, you are among those brought near."
00:40:36They said, "O Moses, either you throw, or we will be the ones who throw."
00:40:52He said, "Throw." So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people and terrified them, and they produced a great magic.
00:41:10And We inspired Moses, "Throw down your staff."
00:41:20Then it swallows up what they fabricate.
00:41:26The truth came to pass and what they were doing was invalidated.
00:41:34They were defeated there and returned humiliated.
00:41:42And the magicians fell down prostrating
00:41:48They said, "We believe in the Lord of the worlds."
00:41:56Lord of Moses and Aaron
00:42:01Pharaoh said, "You believed in him before I gave you permission."
00:42:09This is indeed a plot you have plotted in the city to expel its people from it.
00:42:21You will know
00:42:26I will cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, then I will crucify you all.
00:42:41They said, "Indeed, to our Lord we will return."
00:42:52You do not blame us for anything except that we believed in the signs of our Lord when they came to us.
00:43:08Our Lord, pour out upon us patience and let us die as Muslims.
00:43:19And the leaders of Pharaoh's people said
00:43:24Will you leave Moses and his people to cause corruption in the land and abandon you and your gods?
00:43:33He said, "We will kill their children and make their misery impossible, and indeed, We are over them, dominant."
00:43:47Moses said to his people, “Seek help from God and be patient.”
00:43:54The earth belongs to God. He gives it as an inheritance to whomever He wills of His servants. And the [best] outcome is for the righteous.
00:44:09They said, “We were harmed before you came to us and after you came to us.”
00:44:20He said, "Perhaps your Lord will destroy your enemy and make you successors upon the earth and see how you will act."
00:44:34And We seized the people of Pharaoh with years of famine and loss of fruits that perhaps they would be reminded.
00:44:50When good comes to them, they say, “This is for us.”
00:44:58And if evil befalls them, they ascribe evil to Moses and those with him.
00:45:07Their fate is only with Allah, but most of them do not know.
00:45:20And they said, "No matter what sign you bring us to bewitch us with, we will not believe in you."
00:45:32So We sent upon them the flood, locusts, lice, frogs, and blood as distinct signs, but they were arrogant and were a criminal people.
00:45:55And when the punishment fell upon them, they said, “O Moses, invoke for us your Lord for what He has promised you.”
00:46:07If you remove this calamity from us, we will believe in you and send the Children of Israel with you.
00:46:21So when We removed the punishment from them for a term they were to reach, at once they broke their promise.
00:46:34So We took retribution from them and drowned them in the sea because they denied Our signs and were shunning them.
00:46:50And We gave inheritance to the people who were oppressed the eastern and western regions of the earth which We had blessed.
00:47:04And the good word of your Lord was fulfilled upon the Children of Israel because of their patience.
00:47:17And We destroyed what Pharaoh and his people had made and what they had built.
00:47:30And We took the Children of Israel across the sea, and they came upon a people who were devoted to their idols.
00:47:45They said, “O Moses, make for us a god as they have gods.” He said, “Indeed, you are a people behaving ignorantly.”
00:48:02These are the ones who will be deprived of what they are doing, and what they have been doing is in vain.
00:48:17He said: Shall I seek for you a god other than God while He has favored you over the worlds?
00:48:28And when We saved you from the people of Pharaoh, who were afflicting you with the worst of torment.
00:48:41They kill your sons and spare your women, and in that is a great trial from your Lord.
00:49:00And We appointed for Moses thirty nights and completed them with ten, so the term of his Lord was completed as forty nights.
00:49:16Moses said to his brother Aaron, “Take my place among my people and do good deeds, and do not follow the way of the corrupters.”
00:49:30And when Moses came to Our appointed time and his Lord spoke to him, he said, “My Lord, show me [yourself] so I may look at You.”
00:49:46He said, "You will not see me, but look at the mountain. If it remains in its place, then you will see me."
00:49:59So when his Lord revealed Himself to the mountain, He rendered it level, and Moses fell unconscious.
00:50:12When he came to, he said, “Glory be to You! I have written to You, and I am the first of the believers.”
00:50:25He said, “O Moses, indeed I have chosen you over the people with My messages and My speech, so take what I have given you and be among the grateful.”
00:50:44And We wrote for him on the tablets of all things an admonition and a detailed explanation of all things. So take it with strength and command your people to take the best of it. I will show you the home of the wicked.
00:51:10I will turn away from My signs those who are arrogant upon the earth without right. And if they see every sign, they will not believe in it.
00:51:28And if they see the path of right guidance, they do not take it as a path, but if they see the path of error, they take it as a path.
00:51:43That is because they denied Our signs and were ignorant of them.
00:51:54And those who deny Our verses and the meeting of the Hereafter - their deeds have become worthless. Will they be recompensed except for what they used to do?
00:52:12And the people of Moses took from their ornaments after him a calf with a body that mooed.
00:52:24Have they not seen that he does not speak to them nor guide them to a way?
00:52:33They took it and were wrongdoers.
00:52:38And when they fell into their hands and saw that they had gone astray, they said:
00:52:49They said, "If our Lord does not have mercy on us and forgive us, we will surely be among the losers."
00:53:02And when Moses returned to his people, he was filled with grief and sorrow. He said, "Evil is that which you have left me after I left."
00:53:15Did you hasten the command of your Lord? He threw down the tablets and took hold of his brother’s head, dragging him towards him.
00:53:29Ibn Umm said: The people considered me weak and almost killed me, so do not let the enemies gloat over me.
00:53:42And do not place me with the wrongdoing people.
00:53:54He said: My Lord, forgive me and my brother and admit us into Your mercy, for You are the Most Merciful of the merciful.
00:54:07Indeed, those who took the calf will incur wrath from their Lord and humiliation in the life of this world.
00:54:21And thus do We reward the slanderers.
00:54:25And those who have committed evil deeds and then repented after that and believed - indeed, your Lord, thereafter, is Forgiving and Merciful.
00:54:42When Moses' anger subsided, he took the tablets, and in their inscription was guidance and mercy for those who fear their Lord.
00:55:00And Moses chose from his people seventy men for Our appointed time.
00:55:07Then when the earthquake seized them, he said, “My Lord, if You had willed, You could have destroyed them and me before.”
00:55:20Will you destroy us for what the pure ones among us did?
00:55:27It is only Your temptation by which You misguide whom You will and guide whom You will.
00:55:40You are our guardian, so forgive us and have mercy on us, for You are the best of forgivers.
00:55:53And write for us good in this world and in the Hereafter, for we have turned back to You.
00:56:04He said, “My punishment - I afflict with it whom I will, but My mercy encompasses all things, so I will prescribe it for those who fear Me.”
00:56:22And they give zakat and those who believe in Our verses.
00:56:31Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have of the Torah and the Gospel.
00:56:46He orders them to do good
00:56:50He commands them to do good and forbids them from doing evil.
00:56:56He makes lawful for them good things and prohibits for them bad things.
00:57:05And removes from them their burden and the shackles which were upon them.
00:57:16Those who believed in him, excused him, and supported him
00:57:21And follow the light which was sent down with him. It is those who will be successful.
00:57:33Say, O mankind, indeed I am the Messenger of God to you all, to whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth.
00:57:46There is no god but He, who gives life and causes death.
00:57:53So believe in Allah and His Messenger, the unlettered prophet who believes in Allah and His words, and follow him that you may be guided.
00:58:10And among the people of Moses is a nation who guides with the truth and acts justly thereby.
00:58:22And We divided them into twelve tribes, nations.
00:58:29And We inspired Moses when his people asked him for water, saying, “Strike the stone with your staff.”
00:58:41Then twelve springs gushed forth from it.
00:58:47Every people knew their drinking place, and We shaded them with clouds and sent down to them manna and quails.
00:59:01Eat from the good things We have provided for you. They did not wrong Us, but they wronged themselves.
00:59:16And when it was said to them, “Dwell in this city and eat from it wherever you wish and say, ‘Forgiveness,’ and enter the gate in prostration. We will forgive you your sins. We will increase the doers of good.”
00:59:38But those who did wrong among them substituted another statement other than that which had been said to them, so We sent upon them a punishment from the sky because they were wronging.
00:59:57And ask them about the town that was by the sea, when they transgressed the Sabbath, when their fish came to them on their Sabbath day, lawfully.
01:00:18And on the Day when they will not be disobeyed, the punishment will not come to them. Thus do We test them for what they used to do.
01:00:32And when a group of them said, “Why do you preach to a people whom God is about to destroy or punish with a severe punishment?”
01:00:45They said, "An excuse before your Lord, and perhaps they will fear Him."
01:00:53So when they forgot what they had been reminded of, We saved those who had forbidden evil, and We seized those who did wrong with a wretched punishment for what they used to commit.
01:01:14But when they transgressed beyond what We had ordained, We said to them, "Be apes, despised."
01:01:26And when your Lord proclaimed that He would send against them until the Day of Resurrection those who would afflict them with the worst of punishment.
01:01:39Indeed, your Lord is swift in penalty, and indeed, He is Most Bountiful and Most Merciful.
01:01:50And We divided them into nations on the earth, among them were the righteous and among them were less than that.
01:02:00And We tested them with good and bad that perhaps they would return.
01:02:10Then there came after them a generation who inherited the Scripture. They take the offerings of this world and say, “We will be forgiven.” But if a similar offering comes to them, they take it.
01:02:28Did He not take from them a covenant in the Book that they would not say about God except the truth, and they studied what was in it?
01:02:41And the home of the Hereafter is better for those who fear God. Then will you not reason?
01:02:51And those who hold fast to the Book and establish prayer - never will We allow to be lost the reward of the reformers.
01:03:03And when We placed the mountain above them as if it were a canopy, and they thought that it would fall upon them, [saying], “Take what We have given you with strength and remember what is in it that you may become righteous.”
01:03:28And when your Lord took from the children of Adam, from their loins, their descendants and made them testify of themselves.
01:03:41Am I not your Lord? They will say, “Yes, we bear witness.” [This] lest you should say on the Day of Resurrection, “Indeed, we were of this unaware.”
01:03:58Or you say, "Our fathers associated others with Allah before, and we were descendants after them." Then will You destroy us for what the falsifiers have done?
01:04:21And thus do We explain the verses in detail that perhaps they will return.
01:04:31And recite to him the news that We gave him Our signs, but he slipped out of them. So Satan pursued him, and he became of the deviators.
01:04:47And if We had willed, We could have raised him thereby, but he clung to the earth and followed his own desire.
01:04:58Their example is like that of a dog: if you chase it, it pants, or if you leave it, it pants. That is the example of the people who deny Our verses. So relate the story that perhaps they will give thought.
01:05:22Evil is the parable of the people who denied Our verses and were wronging themselves.
01:05:37He whom Allah guides is the guided one, and he whom He sends astray - it is those who are the losers.
01:05:51And We have certainly created for Hell many of the jinn and mankind.
01:06:02They have hearts with which they do not understand, they have eyes with which they do not see, and they have ears with which they do not hear.
01:06:15They are like livestock, rather, they are more astray. It is they who are the heedless.
01:06:30To God belong the best names, so invoke Him by them and leave those who deviate concerning His names. They will be recompensed for what they used to do.
01:06:50And among those We created is a nation that guides with the truth and establishes justice thereby.
01:07:02And those who deny Our signs - We will gradually lead them on from where they do not perceive.
01:07:12I hope for them that my plot is strong
01:07:21Have they not considered that their companion is not possessed? He is only a clear warner.
01:07:36Have they not considered the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all things that Allah has created?
01:07:47And perhaps their time has drawn near. Then in what statement after that will they believe?
01:08:01He whom Allah sends astray - no guide will he have, and He leaves them wandering blindly in their transgression.
01:08:13They ask you about the Hour: "When will it come?" Say: "Its knowledge is only with my Lord. None can reveal its time except Him."
01:08:31They ask you as if you were knowledgeable about it. Say, "The knowledge thereof is only with God, but most of the people do not know."
01:08:59Say: I do not possess for myself any benefit or harm except what God wills.
01:09:12If I knew the unseen, I would have done much good, and no harm would have touched me.
01:09:22I am only a warner and a bringer of good tidings to a people who believe.
01:09:32It is He who created you from one soul and created from it its mate that he might dwell in security with her.
01:09:46And when he covered her, she carried a light burden and passed by with it. But when it became heavy, she prayed to Allah, their Lord, “If You should give us a good [child], we will surely be among the grateful.”
01:10:10But when He gave them both a righteous child, they ascribed to Him partners in what He had given them. So exalted is God above what they associate with Him.
01:10:31Do they associate with Him that which creates nothing, while they themselves are created?
01:10:40They cannot help them, nor can they help themselves.
01:10:52And if you invite them to guidance, they will not follow you. It is all the same for you whether you invite them or are silent.
01:11:10Indeed, those you invoke besides God are servants like you, so call upon them and let them respond to you, if you should be truthful.
01:11:30Do they have feet with which they walk, or hands with which they strike, or eyes with which they see, or ears with which they hear?
01:11:52Say, "Call your partners and then plot against me, but you will not be given respite."
01:12:03The guardian of God is He who sent down the Book and He takes care of the righteous.
01:12:14And those whom you invoke besides Him cannot help you, nor can they help themselves.
01:12:28And if you call them to guidance, they do not hear, and you see them looking at you, but they do not see.
01:12:43Be forgiving, enjoin what is right, and turn away from the ignorant.
01:12:52But if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
01:13:07Indeed, those who fear God - when an impulse touches them from Satan, they remember [Allah] and at once they have insight.
01:13:23Their brothers extend them in error and do not stop.
01:13:33And if you do not bring them a sign, they say, “Why did you not choose it?”
01:13:42Say, "I only follow what is revealed to me from my Lord."
01:13:50This is insight from your Lord and guidance and mercy for a people who believe.
01:14:04And when the Qur’an is recited, listen to it and be silent that you may receive mercy.
01:14:16And remember your Lord within yourself in humility and fear and without being too loud in speech, during the nights and in the evenings, and do not be among the heedless.
01:14:35Indeed, those who are with your Lord are not too proud to worship Him, and they exalt Him, even if they prostrate themselves.
