While staying up late watching horror movies, a teenage girl sees her foster sister step out of a room—and seconds later, sees her again, still inside. What followed shattered her trust in what was real… and what wore her sister’s face.

00:00Most nights, the house was loud with laughter. Ours.
00:05My foster sister Leah and I used to stay up watching horror movies until our eyes burned,
00:10and every creak in the house felt like it meant something.
00:14Back then, we were close. Closer than most siblings, blood or not.
00:21She was the only one who understood how our house sometimes felt off, as if it shifted when you
00:27weren't looking. It was as if the walls held secrets, and the shadows whispered their own
00:33stories. It always started with little things. Doors unlocked when we were sure we'd locked them,
00:40the TV turning to static at exactly 3am, and cold spots that moved like someone was breathing down
00:47your neck. We made jokes about it, called it the house being bored, but that didn't make it less
00:54real. The doors would creak open on their own, the TV would flicker with strange images,
01:01and the cold spots would linger, chilling us to the bone.
01:05The night it happened, I thought I was just tired. That I'd imagined what I saw. But the part that
01:13scares me most is what I didn't guess. What I heard and what I felt in the pit of my stomach when I saw
01:20Leah's face, in two different places. One of them was real. The other wasn't. The shock and fear that
01:30gripped me in that moment were unlike anything I had ever experienced.
