00:00We have a dog door and she couldn't fit through. She'd get stuck halfway through the dog door.
00:08She came from a shelter. She was pregnant.
00:14She definitely was very happy around people and in a house.
00:23One of the trickiest things is to have no idea about their prenatal care.
00:27So there's this fear of puppies, how developed they'll be, how healthy they'll be.
00:34The panting is usually within 12 hours of birth. That's usually the first sign and then they stop eating.
00:47We didn't know how many to expect. 11 puppies. There were six boys and five girls.
00:57We just keep them with mom, under the light, nice and warm.
01:12And she muzzles them over so they can start nursing.
01:15She stayed with them a lot.
01:32With 11, she couldn't feed them all so we helped.
01:36We did start bottle feeding some.
01:50You guys can't leave me out here with eight puppies.
01:52Oh, yay!
02:02Oh, yes.
02:02We adopted the puppies out pretty quickly, between 8 and 10 weeks until the puppies fled.
02:29A very nice family came and adopted her.
02:36We've had moments that are super emotional, but we just try to focus on a good start for the dog's new life.
02:59There we go!
