00:00ESPN, the app, we'll refer to it that way because that's kind of how we talk about it internally now.
00:05It's a great name. It's a great name.
00:08You know, we went through this long debate and Roz Durant, who's here, head of our programming,
00:12speaking at several sport conversations around the can this week, talks a lot about it, right?
00:18Which is, there is no other name. ESPN is the name because ESPN is synonymous with sports.
00:23And so why come up with any other name when we have the name?
00:27And so it just makes it easier as we think of how do we bring it to market?
00:32It just gives way, another way for consumers to access their content.
00:36And what we're really doing is taking the existing ESPN app and expanding it so that you have all of your linear networks in there, more content.
00:43But you're also going to have all of the experiences that sports fans are looking for.
00:47So your fantasy is in one place, your sports betting is in one place.
00:50You're going to have personalization.
00:51So when you want to watch your sports center, it's going to be anchored by your anchor with talking about the teams you watch.
00:56It'll have your favorite talent.
00:59And it just completes the ESPN platform because ESPN today is a platform, right?
01:05People wake up and they pick up their phone and they're getting what happened last night.
01:09And my favorite teams on the West Coast, I may have gone to bed before.
01:11Or what was that football pass that I missed last night?
01:14What is Stephen A. Smith talking about this morning?
01:17You said it, Greeny follows.
01:18And then we move into the live games.
01:20And so it's just the ability to access it wherever you want it.
01:23We've been very upfront about the fact that we want to make sure it's integrated into our Disney offering so it will be part of Disney+, just like Hulu is part of Disney+.
01:33When we did that for bundle subscribers, we saw more fans engage and spend more time.
01:37So we know the consumer is looking for that, right?
01:39An aggregated experience across all of Disney's apps.
01:43What's the challenge in explaining that to the layperson that doesn't understand AVOD from SVOD from, you know?
01:51Well, I think when we launch, we're going to have a very exciting promotional price,
01:55which is basically today you can get the bundle of Disney+, and Hulu for $29.99.
02:00When ESPN Plus launches, you'll get all three for that price.
02:04So that's a value for the consumer who's not a sports fan to come in and try.
02:09But it also speaks to what we know, which is people want to find all their content in one place.
02:15And so the ability to have it all there and have more casual fans coming to watch ESPN, that's probably where they're going to do it.
02:22They're probably not going to come to an ESPN experience.
02:24That is truly for the sports fan or someone who is a hockey fan or an NFL fan who is looking for the game live.
02:31It also allows us to better curate how we can understand, you know, every one of these app experiences is a opportunity to make personalization better, recommendation better, advertising better.
02:44And so having all of those connected into one technology stack and one data stack will allow you to experience all of that content in a much more organic, enjoyable way.
