00:34uncover 10 of the strangest most unique things you can only find in this incredible country
00:39we're talking about ancient geoglyphs carved into the desert a mountain that shimmers with every
00:45color of the rainbow and islands that float on a lake high in the andes but it's not just about
00:51the sights we're diving deep into the culture trying exotic foods some a little too exotic for my liking
00:57but we'll get to that later and meeting the amazing people who call peru home so buckle up guys because
01:03this is going to be a wild ride
01:05okay guys picture this you're soaring high above the desert the wind whipping through your hair
01:14and then you see them massive geoglyphs etched into the earth stretching for miles these are the nazca
01:21lines and trust me seeing them with your own eyes is an experience that will stay with you forever
01:25as we flew over these enigmatic figures monkeys spiders hummingbirds even astronauts i couldn't
01:32help but feel a sense of awe and wonder how did these ancient people create such massive and intricate
01:38designs were they sending messages to the heavens or was there a more earthly explanation honestly guys
01:44i'm still trying to wrap my head around it all the sheer scale of the nazca lines is mind-blowing
01:48some of these figures are over 1000 feet long and the precision with which they were created is simply
01:54astounding it's like stepping back in time trying to unravel the secrets of a lost civilization
01:59being here surrounded by these ancient mysteries really makes you realize how small we are in the
02:05grand scheme of things it's humbling and awe-inspiring at the same time
02:09guys you know i love a good adventure and let me tell you hiking to the top of rainbow mountain was an
02:17experience i'll never forget the colors the views the sheer physical challenge it was all worth it for
02:24that moment when you finally reach the summit and take in the breathtaking panorama the trail was no joke
02:30though the altitude is no joke we're talking over 17 000 feet above sea level every breath was a struggle
02:37my legs were burning but i just kept pushing motivated by the promise of what awaited me at the top
02:43and let me tell you the view from the summit was worth every ounce of effort imagine a mountain
02:48striped with vibrant hues of red orange yellow green it's like something out of a dream the colors
02:55are created by mineral deposits and they're even more vibrant in person than in any photo you've ever
03:00seen i stood there for what felt like hours just soaking in the beauty of it all the crisp mountain air
03:07the sound of the wind whistling through the peaks the feeling of accomplishment it was pure magic
03:12imagine a place where the ground beneath your feet is alive where homes are built on floating islands
03:21made entirely of reeds that's lake titacaca home to the euros people and it's one of the most unique
03:28and fascinating places i've ever visited stepping onto a floating island for the first time is a surreal
03:34experience it's like walking on a giant sponge and you can feel the whole island bobbing gently with
03:39every step the euros people have been living this way for centuries preserving their ancient traditions
03:45and way of life they build their homes boats and even their islands from the totora reeds that grow
03:52abundantly in the shallows of the lake we were welcomed into their homes shared meals with them
03:57and learned about their customs and beliefs their connection to the lake is profound and their way
04:02of life though challenging is a testament to human ingenuity and resilience

04:26right or should i say when in peru so i took a deep breath and dug in the key was roasted whole and
04:31i have to say it was surprisingly tasty the meat was a little gamey kind of like rabbit but the skin
04:37was crispy and flavorful i know it's not for everyone but trying kui was definitely an experience

05:09ancient symbols the air is thick with anticipation as the sound of drums and pan pipes fills the air
05:16inti reymi is a celebration of the sun god inti and it's a spectacle of color music and dance the
05:23highlight of the festival is the reenactment of the ancient inca ceremony with hundreds of performers
05:29bringing history to life before your very eyes i was completely swept away by the energy and grandeur
05:34of the event it was a powerful reminder of the rich history and cultural heritage of the inca people
