The Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out a precision strike on Monday (16), resulting in the destruction of two Iranian F-14 fighter jets parked at an airport in Tehran.

According to a statement by the spokesperson for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the operation aimed to neutralize a direct threat to Israeli aviation, as the Iranian aircraft were reportedly prepared for possible interception missions.

In parallel, the IDF released footage of a second operation involving the neutralization of an Iranian cell preparing to launch a drone toward Israeli territory. According to the official report, Israeli fighter jets had been monitoring the launch team for several days, identifying the equipment, platforms, and weaponry involved.

The offensive was executed just minutes before the systems could be activated, eliminating the operational team and destroying the launchers on the ground before the UAV could be deployed. The attack is described as a “preventive action” in response to direct threats to Israel’s national security.
