00:00With 240 firmów na Exhibition i 2,000 widzów i delegacją do konferencji,
00:06starting yesterday and ending tomorrow,
00:11this event, Baku Energy Week,
00:13has become the must-attend event in the whole region.
00:23Baku Energy Week has become a pivotal fixture
00:26in the global energy calendar.
00:28Now in its 30th year,
00:30it marks defining moment for energy diplomacy,
00:33innovation and leadership.
00:35By 2030,
00:37we again based on already signed contracts
00:41and investment commitments
00:43are planning to have 6.5 gigawatt
00:47of renewable energy installed capacity
00:51and that will be more than 35%
00:55of our total energy grid.
00:58So the green agenda of Azerbaijan is very ambitious.
01:02With over 40 countries represented,
01:04Azerbaijan is using this platform
01:06to show its energy ambitions
01:08extend beyond export
01:10to transition, resilience and global relevance.
01:14We build together with our partners strategic pipelines
01:20to connect Caspian Sea with Black Sea,
01:23with Mediterranean,
01:24and also of course,
01:26the crown of our pipelines
01:28is the Southern Gas Corridor
01:30which stretch for 3,500 kilometres
01:35from Azerbaijani offshore fields towards Italy.
01:41The Southern Gas Corridor is now a critical route
01:44for European supply,
01:46a symbol of Azerbaijan's geopolitical influence
01:49and its long-term partnerships with Europe.
01:52When this event started 30 years ago,
01:54the purpose was to tell the world what we have,
01:57what our mission and vision is,
01:59and how we can bring the world together,
02:02both regional and globally,
02:04to realise this potential
02:07to the benefit of Azerbaijan
02:08and the world and the region.
02:10Besides traditional energy resources,
02:12we are also telling the world what we have,
02:14what our vision is
02:15in terms of green energy and decarbonisation.
02:17This is not simply a showcase
02:19of existing capacity.
02:21Baku Energy Week is a signal of acceleration
02:24and Azerbaijan's role
02:26in building a new energy coalitions.
02:28We will become Net Zero by 2050 energy company
02:31and we also have very aggressive targets
02:33for 2030 and 35.
02:36So we will rely on three primary enablers.
02:39Number one is decarbonisation of the core,
02:42the core businesses that we are in.
02:44Number two is changing the DNA of the organisation,
02:47including the culture.
02:49So we embrace the decarbonisation
02:51and energy transition on basically molecular level.
02:56Number three is getting into the low-carbon businesses.
03:00For example, renewable energy generation,
03:03low-carbon fertilisers
03:05and these type of products.
03:07Energy security, technological progress,
03:10political cooperation,
03:11these aren't competing themes,
03:13they are converging
03:14and Baku is a place
03:15where that convergence is taking shape.
03:17Energy security is an important topic,
03:19not only the energy security
03:21but also the green energy export.
03:23There has been a lot of emphasis
03:25on this region in terms of energy,
03:27food and water security.
03:29And we at Masdar are playing a very crucial role.
03:34Policy meets pragmatism here in Baku,
03:36where energy futures are being written.
03:38We have been participating in Baku Energy Week
03:40for the past three years.
03:42It's an important platform that brings
03:44investors, financiers, companies from different sectors,
03:48particularly focusing on energy,
03:51to have a dialogue to basically focus on energy security
03:55and how we can provide a sustainable and clean energy in the future.
04:01And we have, it's a great platform
04:04and we're here today to also support the journey of Azerbaijan.
04:09That sentiment is shared by global partners, including Germany.
04:13Germany has a long-standing relation with Azerbaijan.
04:16200 years ago settlers came to Azerbaijan
04:19and since then the relations have been developing.
04:22here today are more than 13 firms and enterprises
04:28who show their world-level technology.
04:31And we just signed last week a roadmap
04:35in the areas of energy, transport, middle corridor
04:38and other areas because, and that's why we are here.
04:43We think Azerbaijan plays an important role in the middle corridor.
04:48From hydrogen to hydrocarbons, it's clear,
04:51the energy debate is no longer about direction
04:53but about pace, equity and resilience.
