Arsenal will take a big step forward in the 2025–26 season by playing all 11 of their Women’s Super League home matches at the Emirates Stadium for the first time. Hosting nine WSL games last season, the move reflects the club’s dominant position in women’s football and its ability to draw crowd sizes on par with lower-tier Premier League fixtures.
00:00Arsenal will take a giant leap forward in the 2025-26 season by playing all 11 of their women's Super League home matches at the Emirates Stadium for the first time.
00:16Hosting nine WSL games last season, the Moomera reflects the club's dominant position in women's football and its ability to draw crowd sizes on par with their lower tier Premier League fixtures.
00:27Their WSL attendances have the division consistently over the past three seasons, with crowd numbers even beginning to rival some men's teams.
00:37Yet for European competition, Arsenal have been chosen to return Champions League group stage fixtures to the 4,500 capacity Meadow Park, the ground used by Arsenal women until last season and currently upgraded for next season.
00:52The decision is driven by fan demographics.
01:11Women's matches draw more families and weekend crowds, while mid-week Champions League games such as last October's tie against Valengrieria, which only drew 5,600 at the Emirates, don't attract the same numbers.
01:25Meadow Park's smaller, more intimate setting is better seen as suited for those games.
01:32Importantly, any knockout-phase Champions League game will still be held at the Emirates, giving fans access to the big stages if the team progress deep into Europe.
01:41If Arsenal reach the semis again as they did on their way to last season's Champions League title win, they would play at least 13 Emirates matches, matching Arsenal's total for last year.
01:53This is a bold step forward, said Managing Director Richard Garlick.
01:58It's an opportunity to create a special home for our team and more opportunities for our community and a new generation of supporters to watch the European Champions.
02:09It's the start of another chapter in the story of our women's team.
