Prince Harry and Meghan Markle sacked members of staff in an attempt to create their very own "royal household", GB News has been told.The Duke and Duchess of Sussex lost five members of staff in another round of restructuring, later appointing a new head of communications.FULL STORY HERE.

00:00Okay, let's talk about Harry and Meghan.

00:01So they have got rid of how many more staff members and why?

00:05Well, this sort of links to that story I was talking about on this show a couple of weeks ago

00:08that I had on Mail Sunday, which is that they're restructuring their staff

00:12to become a sort of royal household.

00:14And, of course, now what's happened is, as part of the restructure,

00:18a few heads had to roll.

00:20And one of them is Charlie Gibson, who is their sort of head of UK PR.

00:24Right.

00:24And has overseen, I suppose, some blunders, I would have thought we'd put them like that.

00:29And if he'd put the UK PR, he's not done a great job for them.

00:32Well, he's been there for a year, and he was such a surprise appointment, anyway,

00:35because he used to do the PR for Pedigree Charm and Mars Bars.

00:38It was just a strange appointment, anyway.

00:40So, anyway, he's gone, and their man in America, Kyle, is gone.

00:44And they've now got a friend of Harry's, who actually went to Sandhurst Military Academy,

00:49so very much of that ilk, running their UK PR.

00:52Why can't they keep hold of anyone?

00:53Well, I think, in this example, it's not people walking,

00:56which has happened many, many times.

00:58It's them sort of cutting the wheat from the chaff.

01:01And what they want to do is create this really firm structure

01:04so that when people come and go, we don't all go crazy saying,

01:07yet another person's walked or yet another person's been fired.

01:10They just say, look, this is the structure.

01:12Of course, inevitably, as an old job, some people come and go.

01:15How many people would be...

01:16I mean, you can tell I'm smiling because I'm only semi-convinced by their take on events.

01:20How many people would be in that sort of target structure?

01:23Well, there's about sort of 10 now.

01:25But what they've said in their statement today,

01:27they've issued this really lofty statement from Meredith, who's their new boss,

01:31saying, oh, we're now going to have eight members of staff globally responding

01:35to press inquiries and stories, you know, on all different time zones all across the world.

01:43And I've got to say, I mean, for somebody who wants to be private,

01:46I do think Harry's got an awful lot of people now.

01:48Yeah, right.

01:48Globally responding in time zones all over the world to press inquiries.
