00:45Forty years ago I warned that the greatest threat to Israel's existence

00:48would come from the Islamic regime in Iran,

00:51a regime that had only recently come into being.

00:54I said then that it would strive to acquire nuclear weapons to destroy us.

00:59I was ridiculed, treated as spinning political stories.

01:03I was not always able to rally the defense establishment to act against Iran's nuclear facilities.

01:09I also had to push back, sometimes alone,

01:12against an American administration that enabled a deal giving Iran a path to nuclear weapons,

01:18and billions of dollars along the way.

01:20We exposed the Iranian nuclear program.

01:23We delayed it, but we did not stop it.

01:26And Iran advanced trying to suffocate us with the axis of evil.

01:30We acted against it.

01:33On October 7th, Hamas launched its barbaric attack.

01:37Our first move was to strike Hamas.

01:39We made a decision.

01:41Destroy Hamas and bring our hostages home.

01:44Even when people said we wouldn't succeed.

01:47I persisted.

01:49To this day with the means we deployed we released over 200 hostages,

01:53and I won't back down until we've brought them all home.

01:56I gave an order the day before yesterday to advance negotiations because I've identified a loophole.

02:02I'm not giving up on anyone.

02:04But after we've achieved our objectives, both destroying Hamas and returning of the hostages,

02:08we are required in addition to the offensive side, which I will not detail here,

02:13to also carry out defensive actions.

02:16This defense is based not only on the interception of missiles

02:18and the excellent missile systems we have built here in our weapons industries.

02:23It also depends on your behavior.

02:25You really are following the instructions of the Home Front Command.
