00:05It's always so exciting to get our hands on a new platform.

00:10Our latest update for No Man's Sky is called Beacon,

00:14and it adds Nintendo Switch 2 support at launch.

00:18For the last year, we've had this little secret room hiding some dev kits.

00:24With the original Switch, we were pushing right at the edge of what was possible.

00:31No Man's Sky on Switch 2 is just a huge leap forward.

00:36The extra horsepower, it allows us to add full multiplayer for the first time on Switch 2.

00:43Cross-save and cross-play are there from day one,

00:47allowing players a seamless experience across devices.

00:53We've massively pushed the density and level of detail out.

00:58We're rendering significantly more than before at a much higher resolution,

01:04and also an increased frame rate.

01:07Our latest update, Beacon, it adds these huge, dense robot towns.

01:14You can upgrade the settlements. Each inhabitant has their own little backstory.

01:20This just wasn't possible before and is new for Switch 2.

01:26On the original Switch, we were maybe the only developer to support FSR.

01:32It was real technical wizardry.

01:35We're building on this.

01:37On Switch 2, the game looks incredibly sharp and high-res.

01:41We've upped texture density across the board and increased resolution significantly in both handheld and TV mode.

01:51The UI is super crisp.

01:54We support touch screen, gyro controls, cross-save, multiplayer.
