00:00Hey guys, welcome back to Explainer X. Today, I am going to recap a 2010 romance drama movie

00:05named Passion Play. So, let's begin. The movie starts with showing a bar. In this we see a man

00:11named Nate who is a musician and plays the trumpet here. Nate was previously a drug addict,

00:16but now he has stopped taking drugs. After this, he starts leaving from there after taking his

00:21money. But then a gangster beats up Nate and makes him unconscious. When Nat regains consciousness,

00:26he sees a gangster taking him to the desert. To murder him, the gangster takes Nate to the middle

00:31of the desert and he was about to shoot him when suddenly someone shoots the gangster and he dies

00:35there. Then the man who killed the gangster comes to Nate. He does nothing to Nate and leaves with

00:39that gangster's gun and all his belongings. Now Nate starts running alone in the desert.

00:44After walking a long distance, he sees a carnival. Nate goes to the carnival where many performers meet.

00:50Then Nate goes to a booth inside which was a very beautiful girl and the girl's name was Lily.

00:55Lily shows Nate her wings and Nate is shocked to see this. And he thinks that these wings are fake

01:00but after the show is over now he goes to Lily's van and sees that Lily's wings are real.

01:05Seeing Nate flowing like an angel, Lily tells her that the show is over so you leave here Nate

01:09requests him to go astray and just want to have a drink with Lily. Lily initially refuses her but

01:14then she lets Nate into her van. Nate learns that Lily was actually born with wings. And since then

01:20she is with the circus and she cannot lead a normal life because of her wings. Even she has never

01:24been to the city. Then after talking for a while, Lily tells him, should you leave now? Nate tells

01:30him I'm heading to town and you can go with me if you want. But Lily refuses and Nate gets out of

01:34the van. Then we learn that Lily is actually Nate. Knows for a long time and has also listened to many

01:40of Nate's albums. Outside, Nate is stopped by Honor Sam and his friends. Sam takes Nate to have a drink

01:46and tells that I found Lily lying in the garbage and since then she is with us, and you can't steal her

01:50from me. Now that Nate has found out that Lily's wings are real, Sam plans to kill Nate, he was

01:56about to kill her, but then Lily arrives with a truck. She runs away with the Nate and starts going

02:16to save his life. Just then Nate sees that Lily is trying to fly in the strong wind and then Lily

02:21tells her that her wings can't lift her weight. So she can't fly then Nate also takes a photo of Lily

02:26which she can show to Happy. On the way, Nate tells Lily that a gangster named Happy is after his life

02:31because he got intimate with his wife. Then at night he stays at a hotel. Lily tells Nate that she has to

02:37see the ocean and she has never seen the ocean till date. Hearing this, Nate promises her that he will

02:42take her to a house from where the ocean is visible around the clock. Then Lily takes off her clothes

02:47in the hotel room and her wings are visible. Nate talks about her wings, which makes Lily very upset

02:52and they both sleep on different beds. Next morning Lily wakes up early and leaves the motel and goes

02:57somewhere. When Nate doesn't see Lily, he starts looking for her. Then she learns from the manager

03:02that Lily made some calls and then she left. Nate redials the same number and learns that Lily has

03:07gone to a doctor. Nate immediately rushes to the doctor to have his wings removed and Nate convinces

03:13him that you shouldn't. You are very special because of the wings and listening to this.

03:17Lily agrees to Nate and before the wings are not cut, Nate threatens the doctor not to tell anyone

03:21about Lily or else he will kill her. Will give after this Nate goes to meet Happy and shows him

03:26Lily's photo. Happy finds this photo fake and threatens to kill her, on which Nate says that if you kill me

03:32then you will never get this girl. Nate wanted to earn a lot of money through Happy Lily and he kept

03:36giving 25% of that to Nate. Now hearing all this the gangster Happy says that first he wants to see

03:42that girl and then he will think about Nate's offer. Nate then invites him to meet her at an opera

03:46house the next day. The next day Nate takes Lily to an island behind the same opera house. Here Happy

03:52comes inside the opera house and a girl gives him a telescope and opens the back door. In the same way

03:57Lily and Nate were sitting. Nate tells Lily that he wants to see her wings and then Lily shows her his

04:02wings. Here Happy also sees this with binoculars and is even more convinced that Lily really has

04:07wings. He tells his men to kill Nate and bring that girl to meet. But then Nate leaves from there

04:12with Lily. Now Nate started liking Lily. So he tells Lily that you get ready by wearing a nice dress

04:18because I want to take you somewhere in the evening. Nate takes Lily to a closed music house

04:22where a large ocean painting was made. Lily asks Nate about his wife and Nate reveals that he had a

04:28wife, but she has died. Lily then requests Nate to play the trumpad for her and Nate plays the

04:33trumpet for her. After this both of them dance and during this time both of them come close and then

04:38both of them go to the motel and also get intimate. The next morning Happy reaches both of them. He

04:43places a knife on Nate's neck and then tells the truth to Happy Lily that Nate has sold Lily to him

04:48to save his life. Lily feels very bad knowing this and she agrees to go with Happy, but she puts a

04:53condition that after her departure, the Happy people will not do anything to the net. On hearing

04:58this, Happy obeys him and takes him with him. But after Lily leaves, Happy's people beat up Nate badly.

05:03Nate calls his friend Harriet and tells him that he wants Lily back because he loves her. On this,

05:08the two make a plane together. Harriet takes a delivery truck and goes to Happy's house.

05:13There Harriet gets distracted by the security guard and enters Nate Happy's house from behind.

05:18Inside Nate sees that Lily is watching a movie with Happy. Nate walks in front of them and

05:22tells Lily to go back with him Happy asks Lily if she wants to go with Nate, to which Lily flatly

05:27refuses and says that she likes being here more. Nate gets very sad to hear this and then leaves

05:32from there. Lily reminds Happy again that as long as Nate is alive, she will be with him. And Happy

05:37promises that he will not kill Nate. Nate goes back to his house. The next day he learns that he has

05:43been fired because he was missing for so long. Now Nate is very short of money and he also sells his

05:48trumped. After a few days, Nate goes to his old friend, whose earlier Nate was not of much help.

05:53Nate asks him for help and he says that he can play the trumpet with him at parties. Here Happy tells

05:58Lily that his real name is Mike, and his Happy name was jokingly named, because he was always sad,

06:04but he is really happy to have found Lily. Then in the evening he takes Happy Lily to a big party and

06:09by coincidence Nate was also working to play music in the same party. Then Nate goes to see Lily but Lily

06:15does not talk to him and leaves from there with Happy. Seeing this, Nate feels very bad and he

06:20goes to a bar and starts drinking. There he meets a girl who seduces him. Then Nate brings her to his

06:25house to get intimate with her. But this girl cleverly gives Nate some poisonous drug. Actually,

06:30this girl was sent by Sam to kill Nate but Harriet comes here at the right time and Nate's life is

06:35saved. After this, Sam reaches Happy's house searching for Lily. But Happy shoots him on sight.

06:40Now Happy Lily got very angry and he forcefully takes her away. A few days later, Nate gets the

06:46news that Happy has opened a club in which he shows a girl with wings. Upon hearing this,

06:51Nate understands that he is a Lily. Nate goes to Happy's club with Harriet and sees Lily lying

06:56locked in a glass box and several rich people sitting in front of her. Then Nate comes to Lily

07:01and breaks the glass and takes her away with him. Both run to the roof of the building,

07:05but now there was no way from here and Happy also comes here. Nate tells Lily that they will both

07:10fly away and run away. But Lily says she won't be able to do it, so Nate jumps off the building and

07:15Lily too. She jumps after him to save him and then she catches him and starts flying and they both run

07:20away while flying. After going a long distance, Nate finds his car in which the gangster had brought

07:25him. There he also sees his own dead body which makes him realize that the gangster had killed him

07:29before and all that was happening till now was just his imagination and Lily. It was none other than an
