00:00$10,000 a month is actually the minimum of what some people are making with this side hustle.
00:05Authors and artists are making as much as $360,000 a month doing this.
00:10I truly can't even comprehend that number.
00:12So of course, I had the delusional idea to see how much I, an amateur artist, can make in one month.
00:17So let's go.
00:18Alright, so I didn't mean to keep you in suspense,
00:21but the side hustle we're talking about is Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing,
00:24or Amazon KDP for short.
00:26To be honest, I called it Amazon KDP in my head for the longest time,
00:29so if I slip up and accidentally call it that throughout the video, don't come for me.
00:32Anyways, if you don't know what Amazon KDP is, here is a quick 10-second rundown.
00:36So Amazon, you know, the site where you can buy basically anything,
00:39has a small subsection called Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing.
00:43And here, KDP, nope, KDP allows you to self-publish books.
00:46And this can range from journals, notebooks, coloring books, novels, children's books, comics, poetry,
00:52literally anything that can be in a form of an e-book, paperback, or hardcover.
00:56Once you finish creating your book, you just upload a PDF version of your creation onto Amazon,
01:01and Amazon will turn your PDF into a physical,
01:04binded book and ship it to whoever chooses to buy it.
01:06And I don't know, hopefully some people will choose to buy my books,
01:09and who knows, if I do make some good money, you already know, you already know.
01:12Y'all party, you're all invited.
01:14Listen, I've been seeing Amazon KDP people talking about how much they make,
01:18like upwards of five to six figures a month,
01:21and I genuinely just think it's too good to be true, like, like how?
01:25So I have to try it for myself and just see what's up.
01:28So here's our one-month game plan in five steps.
01:31Step one, research.
01:32Step two, design.
01:34Step three, upload.
01:35Step four is wait.
01:36Step five, we see the final results.
01:38And bonus, y'all party.
01:40Who knows?
01:40Step one is research, and here's what I'm thinking.
01:42We're gonna make three books,
01:44and they're gonna be different in terms of how hard it is to actually make.
01:47So we're gonna have an easy book, a medium book, and a hard book.
01:51For the easy, I think we can say maybe finish this in two hours.
01:54And according to Amazon KDP, this would be, like, notebooks, planners, journals,
01:59prompt journals, tracking journals, all that.
02:01And then we have medium.
02:02This would take maybe, like, a day or two.
02:04This could be, like, a more detailed activity book, or puzzles, or how-to guides.
02:08And then we have the hard books, which is gonna be, like, a week plus.
02:11This one I'm kinda scared for,
02:12because this would be, like, a children's book, or a novel, or a comic.
02:16Some people say coloring books would be easy,
02:18but that's because they're using AI art, and I just think that's...
02:20So we're gonna consider coloring books hard,
02:23because if I choose to do a coloring book, we are not going to use AI for this.
02:28I repeat, I will not, and will never use AI for this.
02:31Forever.
02:31I will literally hand-draw 40 pages of a coloring book.
02:35Actually, you know what?
02:35Just to spite the AI bros, I'm just gonna do a coloring book for this one.
02:38But I still don't know what to do for the easy and medium category,
02:42so let's start our research,
02:43because after watching a ton of Amazon KDP YouTube how-to videos,
02:48everyone stresses the importance of proper research,
02:51because Amazon is basically marketing your book for you.
02:54So if you don't have, like, proper keywords or niche understanding,
02:57Amazon might not market your book, and we might not get a yacht party.
03:03Okay, so I have open here Book Bolt,
03:05which will actually help us do half the work,
03:07because they got a really good, simple research engine,
03:10and it's gonna help us simplify the entire research process.
03:13So, we're gonna use the Cloud product and keyword modules
03:16to find some best niches and ideas.
03:19So, for our easy book, I think a basic notebook would be great,
03:22but I think we need to double check first to see if that even sells well,
03:26and see if people are even actively searching it up on Amazon to buy.
03:30So, here in Cloud, I can see the top 10 and 100 best sellers,
03:34the categories, best sellers rank, and price range.
03:37So, if I select Sketchbook, and let's just do keyword cute,
03:41we can see what comes up.
03:42Okay, so this one, How to Draw 365 Cute Stuff,
03:45was recently published this year,
03:47and has sells up to $420 a month.
03:50Wow.
03:50So, if they're selling it for $11,
03:52that's close to $4,600 a month.
03:56Good for them, honestly.
03:57That's amazing.
03:57Okay, let's try something that could be a bit easier to make.
04:01So, let's look at notebooks and keywords.
04:03Let's do cute, cozy, comfy girl.
04:06I don't know.
04:06Okay, so this one was posted this year as well for $8,
04:09and they sell about $2.50 a month.
04:11Wow.
04:11You know, if we could get $2.50 sales in my lifetime,
04:14I would be very happy.
04:16So, I think for our easy-to-make book,
04:18let's just go with a basic notebook.
04:20So, now I'm clicking into notebook and products and keywords,
04:23and let's just say school.
04:24Awesome.
04:25Okay, so the lowest price is $3.99,
04:27and the highest is $20.
04:29All right, I think that's pretty reasonable.
04:31And finally, let's double check with the keywords
04:33to see what is currently trending.
04:34Okay, A4 student notebook, biology.
04:37All right, a lot of bio students up in here.
04:39Mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell.
04:41Remember that?
04:42Okay, so basically, we're seeing a lot of science students here.
04:44So, maybe a science-related cover.
04:46Awesome.
04:47So, I think after our research,
04:49we're gonna do a notebook that students can use for school,
04:52maybe leaning towards science.
04:54And I just did the exact same research process
04:56for the medium and hard-level books.
04:58Just a bit of back and forth with testing different keywords
05:01and seeing their bestseller rankings,
05:03monthly sales, as well as publication dates
05:05to just really help me solidify and decide what I want to do.
05:08Okay, this is just kind of a side note as I was researching,
05:11but I think this is probably most definitely AI art.
05:15And here's how you can tell.
05:16Look, like, this makes no sense.
05:18What is going on here?
05:19Yes, you can tell it's kind of like a shelf-like shape,
05:22but, like, what is hanging here?
05:23What is this?
05:25This leaf is growing out of the shelf,
05:28not even coming out of the plant.
05:29What is this on top of the shelf?
05:31I have no idea.
05:32So, yeah, I don't know about you,
05:33but I would not want to color or try coloring
05:35anything that is AI-produced like this.
05:38Anyways, after some more research,
05:40I've decided for the medium-level book,
05:42we're gonna do, like, a puzzle book,
05:43perhaps a crossword, or mazes.
05:46Oh, my God, mazes.
05:47Because if you know me, I love riddles.
05:49But then at the same time,
05:50I also want to do, like, a to-do list,
05:52goal-planning, kind of organization table type of notebook.
05:55And because I'm a little bit undecisive
05:57and a little bit delusional,
05:58let's just do both.
06:00I'm just breaking all my own rules.
06:01I said I was gonna do one each.
06:03I'm doing, like, two each now.
06:04But anyways, for the hard-level book,
06:06we are going to do a hand-drawn,
06:0940-paged coloring book.
06:11This is definitely gonna take a while, but worth it.
06:13The theme is gonna be cute, simple, cozy, comfy,
06:16because that seems to be doing quite well.
06:18And I'm very lucky because I also really like drawing that stuff in that theme.
06:23So I'm excited, yet nervous.
06:24Okay, also, I know this might not fit their algorithm
06:27because no one's gonna go into Amazon and type Viora.
06:29But, you know, this one's kind of just, like, a self-indulgent decision
06:32because I've always, always wanted to share a coloring book.
06:36I'm not even kidding.
06:36So, yeah, I'm gonna do it.
06:37All right, our research is now done.
06:40And genuinely, I think in total,
06:42that took probably less than an hour.
06:43So we are off to a great start.
06:46Let's move on to step two, design.
06:50Now, for the design stage,
06:52we're actually gonna continue using Book Bolt
06:54because they have something called the Book Bolt Studio.
06:57Trim size, I think 6x9 is pretty standard for a notebook.
07:01Black and white interior.
07:02And 100 pages is pretty solid.
07:05So create.
07:06Okay, and then they just gave us,
07:08it seems like, a perfectly formatted template.
07:10All right, so this is the cover that we're gonna add our design to.
07:13And I can see here are all the pages
07:16where we can put the lines and, like, the dotted lines and stuff.
07:19Now, for the actual design,
07:21they do have a lot of uncopyrighted photos.
07:23But all I see is AI art, which I am not going to use.
07:27So we are just gonna design our own.
07:29So initially, for our science-themed notebook,
07:32I was gonna do this, like, little science-doodled cover notebook.
07:35But then, I remembered, I have a design that I really, really like,
07:37which are these koi clouds that I previously drew.
07:40And I was like, wait, koi clouds doesn't really have anything to do with science,
07:43but I still wanted to see it on a notebook.
07:45So we're gonna make two notebooks, actually.
07:46One will be the science-themed one using some royalty-free clip art.
07:50Super easy, just added a bit of my own stuff,
07:52changed the color palette,
07:53and then a koi clouds notebook.
07:54So technically and unintentionally, we made two notebooks.
07:58But, you know, I think it still took less than one hour,
08:00so it's all good.
08:01And, of course, part of design is the formatting,
08:03which, again, this template just made it really easy.
08:05You can just, you know, put your design on top of it.
08:07And I made sure to make it overlap, just because if it prints,
08:10I don't want anything to cut off.
08:11And then for the interior,
08:13you just automatically can make all the 100 pages lined.
08:16So I went with wide ruled.
08:17I know I clicked college initially here,
08:19but I just changed it to wide after,
08:21because I like wide.
08:22And then, boom, interior done, super fast.
08:24And then I downloaded it as a CYMK for printed books.
08:28And then just repeated the process with the science-themed notebook.
08:31Now, I decided to make this interior graph paper,
08:34like grid paper,
08:35because, you know,
08:36I think it looks a little bit more science-y.
08:38And I think it provides more function for science,
08:40like physics or math use.
08:41And then again, really fast,
08:42that was done, downloaded,
08:44and essentially our design for the easy books is now done.
08:48That was honestly really fast.
08:49And let's move on to the medium book.
08:50So I said before I wanted to do a puzzle book
08:53or like a how-to guide.
08:54And I think I've decided I really want to do like a maze book.
08:58Because, you know, I love riddles and all that.
08:59I literally made a whole video doing riddles.
09:01But it's been a long time since I really just sat down
09:04and just did like a good old maze.
09:06Like, when was the last time you did a maze, right?
09:07And then we are going back to Book Vault,
09:09looking at some, you know, trending keywords, titles,
09:12making sure Amazon is marketing our amazing maze book.
09:15And just to get a better understanding of this niche.
09:17So here's me working on my cover page draft,
09:20just, you know,
09:20kind of getting an idea of what I want it to look like.
09:22And then back to Book Vault,
09:23I had to do some like minor, really easy coding,
09:26just like kind of randomize these mazes
09:28and format it in a way to kind of save paper.
09:30Because so we have two mazes on one page.
09:32Reduce re-user cycle.
09:33So before I actually go on to the designing,
09:35I want to do a little test run.
09:37I want to see if this is actually like a fun maze to do.
09:39Because of course,
09:39I don't want to do any false advertising and be like,
09:41oh, it's such a fun maze, like all ages.
09:44And then it's like not even fun and like way too hard.
09:47Okay, so here's my strategy.
09:49You're just going to go with whatever path you see.
09:51And then just like keep going until you hit an edge.
09:54And then you know that you went the wrong way.
09:56Hey, okay, so I'm doing like kind of good right now.
09:59Oh no, I have a bad feeling about this.
10:01I'm getting like way too close to the edge.
10:02Yep, okay.
10:03Um, that's all right.
10:04My strategy is you go to the exit, right?
10:07And then you go backwards.
10:08Is there no other?
10:09Oh, this way.
10:10Okay, this definitely feels like a workout for my brain.
10:13Because I'm just thinking in ways that I've never thunk.
10:16Thunk before?
10:17Oh, I know.
10:18I should have gone this way.
10:19We have to utilize the circle in the middle somehow.
10:22So I feel like this is the right way.
10:24I think we're going to do it.
10:25I think we're going to do it.
10:26Yes, we did it.
10:28We did it.
10:29Okay, that was actually fun.
10:31Why did I have more fun than I thought?
10:32Here we go.
10:33Maze number one completed together.
10:35So I think now we can confidently say
10:36that this was a fun brain workout.
10:39It definitely was.
10:40If you want to do 149 more,
10:43I got the perfect book for you right here.
10:45Hi, big Viore here.
10:47I don't know why I made it this big.
10:48You know, just for fun.
10:49And then midway of designing,
10:50I had the genius idea.
10:52Not delusional this time, just genius.
10:53I was like, what if I make the maze on the cover
10:55look like kind of like a brain?
10:57So I made it kind of pink themed.
10:58So it looks like a brain.
11:00I don't know if that makes any sense,
11:01but I hope it looks like a cranium of sorts.
11:03So clearly I gave her a little makeover.
11:05This is the before and the after.
11:08I think it looks quite well.
11:10And then now we're going back on Book Bolt
11:12to put it on the cover.
11:13Look at this.
11:14Look at how legit this looks.
11:15And I'm turning down the opacity
11:16to make sure the barcode still looks good.
11:18I made it like a little barcode space.
11:20And then double checking the mazes,
11:22make sure they're all good to go.
11:23They are good to go.
11:24So download CYMK.
11:26And then let's move on to the hard book.
11:28Okay, chill Viore.
11:29I don't know why I was rushing there,
11:30but we still have to do our to-do list check off.
11:32So, um, puzzle done.
11:34Medium done in terms of designing.
11:37We haven't uploaded yet,
11:38but you know, it's done technically.
11:39So now we're getting into the real stuff.
11:41The coloring book.
11:42The hard book to make.
11:44So I said before,
11:45this one was kind of self-indulgent,
11:46but I realized that's not going all the way,
11:49which I promised to do.
11:50Because I promised a yacht party,
11:53and without proper research
11:54and like competing in the market,
11:56I didn't like saying that.
11:57It sounds so businessy.
11:59But it means we have to try and get up there
12:00with the best coloring books on Amazon,
12:03on Google, period.
12:04So I did do the research previously
12:06in our research step,
12:07but I have to show you something
12:09that's just going to make this idea
12:10of out-competing seem 10 times more delusional.
12:13So if I select coloring book,
12:16and then keywords,
12:17we said cute, cozy, simple,
12:20which I think, you know,
12:21that's what people like in coloring books.
12:22The first few books that come up,
12:24they're all published this year,
12:262024, 2024, 2024,
12:29which is good.
12:30It means it's like a popular item.
12:32People want to buy it.
12:332024, 2024, 2024.
12:35And they're also all published
12:37by the same company.
12:39They all have like four stars and above
12:43for all of these.
12:44And this one is the most crazy fact.
12:45This is the best seller's rank number eight
12:48in all of Amazon.
12:50Like you think of the thousands,
12:52maybe millions of items on Amazon.
12:54This is number eight best seller.
12:57This one is number 20.
12:58Still so amazing.
12:59Think about how many stuff there is on Amazon.
13:02This one's 25, 31, 47, 56.
13:06So clearly coloring books are doing quite well.
13:08I think to like put that in perspective,
13:10that's like me trying to write a book
13:12and having it become about as popular
13:14as like the Hunger Games.
13:15So yeah, we're already off to a pretty delusional start.
13:18But can you just imagine,
13:20can you just imagine that our coloring book
13:22beats these coloring books?
13:24What if this coloring book becomes like
13:26the best seller's rank number four?
13:27Oh my gosh, can you imagine?
13:28Anyways, then you can say that you were proudly here
13:31before it even hit the charts.
13:33And here we go.
13:33The coloring book theme will be calendar year,
13:37which means for each month,
13:38I'm gonna highlight four national holidays.
13:41So for example, January,
13:42we got New Year's on the first,
13:44National Sleep Day on the third,
13:46National Pie Day on the 23rd,
13:47and National Hot Chocolate Day on the 31st.
13:50So after I compiled the ideas for every month,
13:52it was time to get to drawing.
13:53I know it looks super messy,
13:54but I was just brainstorming, you know,
13:56like the composition,
13:57making sure it actually looked like something
13:59that someone would want to color.
14:00Also, if anyone's curious,
14:01I'm using the kawaii brush from this kawaii brush set
14:03that you can download in the description.
14:05It's really good for making like solid, clean lines.
14:07Anyways, I got kind of excited
14:08after drawing the first few pages,
14:10and I just put it on book book
14:11because I wanted to see what it looked like.
14:12It looks so good, actually.
14:14Like it's, it's so cute.
14:15This is just like the first intro page,
14:17but I also made it like a cute little coloring thing.
14:20Here you go.
14:20This is a little spoiler behind the scenes.
14:22January 3rd is National Sleep Day.
14:24Look at this, they're just sleeping.
14:26It's so cute.
14:27I want to color this.
14:28Okay, so I said no more sneak peeks,
14:30but look at this before and after.
14:32Ooh, yes.
14:32Also, can I just say,
14:33I thought this would be easy,
14:34like time consuming,
14:35but like still somewhat simple.
14:37It's actually a lot harder than I thought
14:38because when I'm drawing,
14:39you already know,
14:40like I'm so used to really messy lines.
14:42Like things don't connect whatsoever.
14:45It's like kind of all over the place,
14:46but they just end up like looking complete.
14:49Okay, that made no sense,
14:49but like my lines are very, very messy, right?
14:51But when you're doing a coloring book,
14:53everything has to be so precise and cleanly done
14:57and like everything has to close together.
15:00It's hard for me,
15:01but I had to stop yapping and start drawing
15:02because I had about 50 drawings
15:04that I have to do for this,
15:05but after one week of drawing,
15:08so yes, this was truly hard
15:09and quite time consuming to make,
15:11we are finally done.
15:1350 coloring pages plus this beautiful cover.
15:16Look at this.
15:17I won't show any more pages
15:18because it's a surprise for those who choose to buy it.
15:20If you do, I love you.
15:21Thank you so much.
15:22Best sellers rank number four.
15:23Let's go.
15:23Sorry.
15:24Anyways, so now that we're finished the hard book,
15:26we can finally check these off.
15:29Coloring book done.
15:30Hard book done.
15:32We're now officially finished designing all of our books.
15:35Let's get on to uploading.
15:38So now that our books are ready in a PDF format,
15:41we can give a grand thank you to Bookboat
15:43for sponsoring that segment
15:44because genuinely that made researching
15:45and formatting super easy and straightforward.
15:47And now we can seamlessly upload to Amazon KDP.
15:50So I made an account
15:51and once you do that,
15:52you hit create
15:52and I'll just show you how I uploaded one of them
15:54because the uploading process is relatively identical,
15:57so I won't bore you with the details.
15:58So right now,
15:59I am uploading the easy book
16:00and I just titled it composition notebook
16:02and a few extra keywords
16:03as according to our previous research.
16:06And then you put in your name.
16:07I just put Viora initially,
16:08but they also want a last name,
16:09so I put co.
16:10So now according to Amazon,
16:11I am Viora.co
16:14or Viora Company,
16:15even though it's just me, whatever.
16:16And then the description,
16:18again,
16:18trying to put in as many specific details
16:20and keywords in here as I can.
16:22Very straightforward.
16:24Then,
16:24since this one was a notebook,
16:25I checked off low content book.
16:27However,
16:27for our puzzle and coloring book,
16:29I did not check that off
16:31because it took quite some effort.
16:33And then the keywords,
16:35this is where the research part came in handy again.
16:38So boom, boom,
16:39easy,
16:39done.
16:39A few more extra specifics to double check.
16:42Then we finally upload our PDF.
16:45Again,
16:46super easy and straightforward
16:47because it's all in a nice folder.
16:49And now you can see,
16:49I am just uploading the cover.
16:51And then,
16:52oh,
16:52look at this preview.
16:53Look at that.
16:53It looks so legit.
16:54It's so cute.
16:55Okay,
16:55now for the pricing.
16:56I made it $7.99
16:57and it says we're going to make about $2 from one sale.
17:00And that was the final step for publishing.
17:02And oh,
17:03look at that.
17:03Look at that preview.
17:04Oh,
17:05and it's not automatically live
17:06for people to buy right away.
17:08It does have to go under review.
17:09For up to 72 hours.
17:11But yeah,
17:11that was basically the entire uploading step.
17:14And I just did the same for the other three books.
17:16And after about one week,
17:18all books are now finally live.
17:21Ooh,
17:21okay,
17:21I know I edited that down to like two minutes,
17:24but truly this whole process took about a week and a half,
17:27two weeks,
17:27because of the coloring book.
17:28That took a long time.
17:29But worth it.
17:30And now we can move on to step four,
17:32which is wait.
17:33To be honest,
17:34while I was waiting,
17:35I thought my cover was a little bit like lackluster.
17:38So boom.
17:39I put some font,
17:40some sparkles,
17:41brighter colors.
17:42Also added some more book details,
17:44because I know,
17:45you know,
17:45like when you're buying a book,
17:46you want to know what's inside.
17:47So I added some additional information,
17:49you know,
17:49over 45 fun and festive holiday themed coloring books.
17:53All ages,
17:54fun filled year.
17:55I also brought it to Instagram and asked what the bear on the cover's name should be.
17:59And the top three most suggested were Mochi,
18:02Marshmallow,
18:03and Coco,
18:04which in the end,
18:05Mochi won.
18:05So yep,
18:06it's now canon.
18:07Mochi's the bear on the cover.
18:08And then you'll never guess.
18:09After two weeks,
18:11I realized I was still at zero orders,
18:14but that's because I was always on the today tab.
18:16So when I clicked into the right tab,
18:20we actually got one order and it was for the coloring book.
18:24So I was very happy.
18:25And this was before I even put out my mediocre Instagram marketing.
18:29So thank you to whoever bought this.
18:31I don't think they're watching this,
18:32but thank you.
18:32Oh my gosh.
18:33I was going to buy a copy of each book to show you like physically what you could expect if you do want to buy it.
18:38But I don't think Amazon allows the author to like buy their own book.
18:41So if you do end up purchasing one of them,
18:43please send me a DM.
18:43I would love to see it.
18:44Okay.
18:45Hi.
18:45I literally ran to get my phone because look,
18:48I now have two orders.
18:50Sorry,
18:51I almost choked there.
18:52Oh my gosh.
18:53Okay.
18:53So we have one order for the coloring book and then one for the science composition notebook.
19:01Yes,
19:01you guys have amazing taste and full transparency with this.
19:04I've never marketed this book anywhere.
19:07I didn't post it on any of my social medias.
19:09So this one order was fully from like the tags and the research that we did.
19:13And they just like found it organically on Amazon.
19:16Again,
19:17full transparency.
19:17This might be a little bit embarrassing,
19:19but I said how I posted this in my story,
19:22right?
19:22Yeah.
19:22I got no orders from that.
19:25Yeah.
19:25Not even lying to you.
19:26I think like 5,000 people saw my story and no one bought it,
19:29which is all good.
19:30Totally good.
19:31But just being transparent,
19:32these two were not from any of my like social media postings.
19:36I will come back in about a week because I think a month has four,
19:40four weeks,
19:41right?
19:41Yeah,
19:44I will come back in one more week and then we will do a nice summary.
19:47So I did try one more time putting it in my story.
19:50Spoiler alert,
19:51I don't think it helps.
19:52So note to self,
19:53if you really do want to market something,
19:55maybe don't put it in Instagram stories because I generally think people don't even look at stories
20:00anymore.
20:01But it has now been a full month since we started.
20:04So let's take a look at the results.
20:06But real quick,
20:07someone who bought the coloring book actually sent me a video of it.
20:10So here it is.
20:11Thank you again for letting me include it in the video.
20:13It actually turned out looking so good and legit.
20:16Like I just can't believe it.
20:17Also,
20:17I know it's more fun to get a coloring book without seeing what's inside.
20:20So don't peek if you're thinking of getting it.
20:22But overall,
20:22thank you again for the support.
20:23Anyways,
20:24so here are the realistic results of my Amazon KDP journey.
20:29Clearly,
20:29clearly,
20:30we are nowhere near enough for a yacht party.
20:33I honestly don't think I can even buy like a nice grocery haul because we barely hit double digits in terms of sales.
20:39So the coloring book did the best,
20:41which you know what?
20:42I think that is a huge win.
20:44That is a huge win for me because,
20:45you know,
20:45with over a week of constant drawing,
20:48I'll take it.
20:48That's a win.
20:49And unfortunately,
20:50no love for the maze or the Koi Clouds notebook.
20:53But you know what?
20:53It's all good.
20:54It's all in the fun of the journey.
20:56And guess what?
20:56I now have the coloring book as a downloadable PDF that you can download and just color on your iPad or print out and color that.
21:02You already know in the description.
21:04I think my main takeaway from this is the more time and work you put into the business,
21:08the more money and return you'll get.
21:10Like I'm sure these Amazon KDP people put in 10 times the amount of work into their business,
21:14hence the higher return.
21:15And I respect that.
21:16Next,
21:17you probably shouldn't just publish one book and just sit there and wait for the cash to flow in.
21:21Other steps like marketing, research, and creating more books in a niche would definitely be helpful.
21:26So if I see like my coloring books are doing quite well,
21:28I could invest more time in drawing and have like a solid collection of coloring books.
21:33All right.
21:33So not only did we go through a complete guide to setting up a passive income stream with Amazon KDP,
21:40but you also saw my true realistic results.
21:43If you also want to give it a go,
21:44you can use Viora for a special 20% off any book bolt plan for the lifetime of your subscription.
21:49And honestly, now that I've given Amazon KDP a go,
21:52I feel like if I didn't do the coloring book,
21:54I'd consider this a pretty easy process.
21:56But obviously, you know, we got to challenge ourselves a little bit.
21:59Got to be a little bit delusional.
22:00So I will say because of the coloring book, it was a pretty hard journey.
22:03Nonetheless, I hope this video was somewhat helpful or fun or inspiring.
22:07Because I think if I have a little bit more time on my hands,
22:09I will definitely make some more books.
22:11But for now, that's all for me right now.
22:13Bye!
22:16Hello.
22:17Hi.
22:17Is there anyone still here?
22:19Welcome to Viora's secret afterschool club.
22:22We're here.
22:23I just kind of talk a little bit unfiltered,
22:24give you some behind the scenes, what I'm up to.
22:26And just kind of, we just like chill.
22:28Because I feel like I can't really chill during the video.
22:30Now we can just like chill and chat.
22:32Also, look at this setup in the closet.
22:35Like, because I'm not home right now.
22:37So like, this is, this is the best I got.
22:39But I still got to make these weekly video for you guys.
22:41So don't worry.
22:42But can I just say this,
22:44doing this video was like a whole journey.
22:46This, I think this whole process took about four months.
22:49A lot of planning, a lot of organizing, a lot of back and forth.
22:53A lot of drawing.
22:54But finally, you are now watching it.
22:57Hopefully you watched through the whole thing.
22:58Thank you if you did.
22:59I love you.
23:00I'm gonna do a secret message and afterschool club combo.
23:04I don't normally put my secret messages at the end.
23:06Just because I think it's more fun to like put it in the middle.
23:08Because I know people skip to the end.
23:10But it's all good.
23:11Today we're gonna put it at the end.
23:12Can you guys pretend that I'm like an award-winning author or like coloring book artist?
23:17Up to you.
23:18One of the two.
23:19And I think if enough people say in the comments,
23:21the people who skipped this message or missed this message,
23:24they'll be like,
23:25wait, is she actually an author?
23:27Is she a real author?
23:29Which, no, I am not.
23:30But random Viora lore.
23:32Because I said in these afterschool clubs,
23:34I will give a random lore.
23:35So here it is.
23:36When I was young, I actually did want to become an author.
23:39And I wrote this like entire, no, I didn't write an entire book.
23:42I wrote like two chapters.
23:44And then I got signed up to go to like this author publishing info session.
23:48It was like a six hour workshop.
23:51And then after that, after like getting all the information,
23:54how long it takes to like actually get published,
23:56and how you might not actually even get published,
23:59I just stopped writing.
24:00I was like, I'm not becoming an author.
24:02Which I think kind of says a lot because I don't typically like giving up.
24:06But I was like, nope, I'm done.
24:07So right now, I think I actually, in a way,
24:10kind of achieved my goal of becoming a somewhat author, illustrator.
24:15I don't know.
24:15But so thank you for supporting that dream
24:19and allowing for that to become true.
24:21And if you did or are planning to buy one of my books,
24:24thank you.
24:25This heart, this heart right here, this is for you.
24:29It's not even in focus, but it's for you.
24:31Thank you so much.
24:32Okay, I think this was long enough.
24:34I yapped too much, but thank you again.
24:35I keep saying thank you, but truly thank you.
24:37I hope you're all having a lovely day.
24:39Hope you enjoyed this video as much as I enjoyed making it.
24:41And I will see you guys next time.
24:43Okay, I'm actually gonna go now.
24:44Bye!
