00:09following a public falling out on social media last week.
00:14Musk's comments come days after Trump threatened him with serious consequences
00:18if he tried to punish Republicans who vote for controversial spending bill.
00:23The pair became embroiled in a war of words last week
00:29after Musk blasted Trump's big, beautiful bill of tax breaks and spending cuts as a disgusting abomination.
00:38In a series of posts, Musk warned the president's tariffs could trigger a recession,
00:44called for his impeachment, and suggested links between Trump and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
00:51Trump responded by saying Musk had lost his mind
00:56and threatened to cancel federal contracts with SpaceX and Tesla as part of a broader cost-cutting plan.
01:03Following Trump's re-election, Musk led the newly formed Department of Government Efficiency, or DOGE,
01:10charged with slashing spending across federal agencies.
01:14He was signed from the administration last month, citing a desire to return to his business ventures,
01:21as well as frustration with the response to his cost-cutting efforts at DOGE.
01:26He's done a fantastic job.
