00:00Tonight, Donald Trump decided to basically bring back one of the most controversial policies

00:06from his first term, from very early in his first term.

00:08Tonight, the president announced he is banning travel from 12 countries, Afghanistan, Burma,

00:14Chad, Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan

00:21and Yemen.

00:22He also partially restricted travel from seven more countries, and all of this is an echo

00:26of the travel ban he instituted in his first term, one that sparked understandable nationwide

00:32protests and a series of court challenges.

00:35This is also exactly the kind of provocative action we have come to expect from Trump when

00:41he wants to lash out and change the subject.
