00:05off here a little bit just because i mean the last thing that you want to do is put this kind

00:10of pressure on one player but here we are i know he's going to help but how far can one young

00:18player take a team i mean and by the way matt we've seen so many times in the past some players

00:22come up they're amazing from the start some do nothing some it like takes a year but the fan

00:27sportsbook essentially is responding by saying he's still in the mix to win rookie of the year

00:33been playing his first game in the second week of june kind of crazy it's a lot of hype there's no

00:39question about it that well deserved he's been great in the minors he's i think going to be a

00:44great player all that good stuff but yeah you're kind of asking a 21 year old to come save a team

00:49season you're saying he could you know still win rookie of the year it's a lot it's a lot for anyone

00:54and look he's played one game and you know it didn't go great but it's one game no one really

01:00cares in the grand scheme of things but i do think it's somewhat emblematic of this idea that he's going

01:05to come up have this huge immediate impact be awesome you know lead that lead the red sox back

01:11in the race this type of thing it's a lot to ask for a 21 year old uh frankly you know the red sox have

01:16other problems they they have pitching problems and you know the offense has been okay but the offense

01:22has injuries he can only do so much he can only plug so many holes uh yeah he's going to help out

01:27he's going to get on base uh he's going to hit some homers and that's great and it's going to make

01:31for some fun highlights but in the grand scheme of what we're talking about for the red sox season

01:36and overall uh you know i think i think they need some help on the mound and uh they probably just

01:41need a little more consistency that usually this is kind of to your point that 21 year olds don't

01:47bring teams right when they're called up
