00:00
Brady, what skill are you looking at here, and who do you got?
00:04
Basically identical to Keith.
00:06
I think total driving, and I'll take it one step further to strokes game ball striking,
00:10
which is a combination of total driving and greens and regulation.
00:14
And I agree, that's where you have to start here.
00:17
And I've got five guys in my pocket that kind of fit that Jim Furyk mold,
00:21
and I'm looking for that other type of player that Keith alluded to that fits more of the bomber,
00:26
the Jon Rahm, the Ludwig Goldberg, the Scotty Scheffler, the DeChambeau, the Rory.
00:31
I haven't gotten to that point in my card yet, but the five guys I do have on it right now
00:36
are fairway finders that can putt at big prices, quintessential, prototypical U.S. Open type players.
00:45
Find the fairway, find the green, and maybe get hot with the putter for a few days.
00:49
And yeah, back in January, when he won at Torrey Pines, Harris English, I got him at 150.
00:55
You know, everybody was kind of shocked when I took him at the PGA.
00:59
Now everybody knows this guy is legit, and you're right.
01:02
He's becoming a popular selection this week, and rightly so.
01:05
I've got English at 150.
01:07
The next bet I added when he finished fifth at Torrey Pines was Tommy Fleetwood.
01:12
I've got him at 50.
01:13
He's now in the 35 to 40 range.
01:15
40 is a good price.
01:17
This guy, his best major has been the U.S. Open, a second at Shinnecock.
01:21
I think he's been runner-up twice, if I recall, at the U.S. Open.
01:26
But Tommy's that same type of guy, hitting the fairways, hitting the greens.
01:29
And then I went to Sepp Straka, you know, just laser-like accuracy.
01:33
Not really long, but he finds a fairway every time he tees it up.
01:38
Great iron player, probably second in the world to Scottie with the irons right now.
01:42
And we know he can get a hot putter, a two-time winner on tour already this year.
01:47
Russell Henley made my card at 70 to 1.
01:49
You know, again, basically identical to Sepp Straka.
01:53
They even both went to Georgia, a guy that finds fairways, hits greens, and can get hot with the putter.
01:58
And then Denny McCarthy.
01:59
I talked about him for a fast start on Thursday.
02:02
28th on the PGA Tour in first-round scoring.
02:05
A couple of top-five finishes at the Memorial.
02:08
Fifth at Torrey Pines earlier this year.
02:11
So Denny can play these tough golf courses very well.
02:14
Maybe the very best putter in the world.
02:16
Those are the five I have on my card currently.
02:19
Three Bulldogs, Brady.
02:19
And I'm probably going to go the direction of Keith with a Rahm or an O'Berg or something.
02:24
I've got to add that big dog at the top.
02:26
But five so far as we sit here.
02:28
Are you getting a check from the University of Georgia there, Brady?
02:31
That's three out of five Bulldogs.
02:33
That's right.
02:34
And that 50 to 1 on Tommy Fleetwood, that's probably like the minimum number I would need.
02:41
To consider.
02:42
To consider it with how much I've been burned.
02:45
And so you got a good number on him, Brady.
02:47
It's just I would need that to even.
02:49
He's burned us.
02:50
We've all had that happen to us with Tommy Fleetwood.
02:53
We've been right there with him.
02:54
And he hasn't been able to close the door for us.
02:57
I hope he happens for you this week, Brady.
02:59
That's for sure.
03:00
All right.
03:01
Cam, what were you looking for this week?
03:03
What's the skill that you've got?
03:04
And maybe a few guys you like.
03:05
Keith said it.
03:06
You know, first, you got to hit it big and long off the tee setting up for a second shot.
03:10
But I have an issue with one.
03:11
This guy has one problem.
03:13
I'm taking him, Carver.
03:14
At 9 to 1, Bryson DeChambeau is my chalk pick.
03:17
The problem?
03:18
Wedge game.
03:19
Between 50 and 70 yards, 152nd.
03:21
That's not good enough for me.
03:23
But I have a feeling he's going to be a lot better this week.
03:25
The soft conditions are good for him.
03:27
Can he roll the rock?
03:28
Yes.
03:28
And out of all those guys, I love him.
03:30
I think this is his time.
03:32
He's been close before.
03:33
Rory beat him.
03:34
But I'm telling you, that's my chalk play.
03:37
Bryson DeChambeau, if he can finally get that wedge game going, I'm not worried about any
03:41
other part of his game.
03:43
Cantlay, probably better of a top 10-20 play.
03:45
But do you know?
03:46
12, 14, 4.
03:47
Last four U.S. Opens inside the top 15.
03:51
45 to 1.
03:51
You talked about it.
03:52
What a great number.
03:53
I found a 50.
03:54
So instead of a 45, a 50 on Patrick Cantlay.
03:56
Can he close the door?
03:57
Very similar to Fleetwood.
03:58
But I like his game.
04:00
I think he's going to be sharp this week.
04:01
And that number for me is good enough, Carver.
04:03
You know, Cantlay's broken our heart, too.
04:05
He's kind of like Tommy Fleetwood.
04:07
He's there.
04:07
He's not there.
04:08
But you know what?
04:09
Top 20, definitely.
04:11
But at 45, I got to put some money on him to win.
04:14
Yeah, I'm going to have Cantlay as well, probably by the end of the weekend.
04:17
Because the thing that I'm looking at the most, and I know maybe you can't quantify it in
04:21
a chart and a graph or looking up stats or anything, is I need guys who have showed
04:26
me some toughness at really tough courses.
04:30
That's really it for me.
04:32
And I know that that's not, but it's just something you got to kind of look at, look
04:35
at hard courses, who plays well there.
04:38
And you know that I love this guy, and he's going to be there for me.
04:41
And he hasn't done it on Sundays.
04:43
He's had a lead here in the past, and that's the Irish Bear.
04:45
I told Keith a few weeks ago, I quit the Irish Bear.
04:48
But I knew with Oakmont coming around the corner, I was going to have to get him back in
04:52
the mix.
04:52
45 to 1 for Shane Lowry.
04:54
Now, I saw a Shane Lowry end of third round leader at 35 to 1, and I think I'm going to
05:01
play that as well, because as we all know, he's had some bad Sundays.
