Dale Moss Explains His Return To 'The Bachelor' Franchise

00:00Okay, Dale, a little bit of a plot twist, but I'm so excited to see you're here.

00:04Why did you want to make this reality TV return?

00:07Honestly, I kind of just wanted to give up control and just see what was out there.

00:13You know, I'm really head down with travel and work and projects and things like that,

00:17but I definitely realized that there's more out there,

00:22and sometimes you've got to remove yourself from certain situations to get more clarity on that.

00:28So, I don't know, it sounds, I just want to give up control and just see what was out there.

00:34Yeah, I love that.

00:35Last time we saw you, a little bit of a fast-paced situation.

00:38Do we anticipate a different approach, or how are we tackling a Paradise maybe different than The Bachelorette?

00:42Yeah, I think, you know, like the biggest thing now, you know, I feel really clear about what I want.

00:50You know, it's definitely going to be a different approach,

00:53and I think the framework and the setup of the show is a lot different.

00:56You know, previously, I know that a lot of, you know, insecurities that most men, like, have, too.

01:02They want to be a caretaker.

01:04They want to heal all these problems.

01:06And, you know, in this one, I think that's still there a little bit,

01:10but I do know that it's important for both people to have their needs met,

01:13and, you know, I just have the boundaries on, I don't know.

01:17It's going to be different.

01:18Well, Paradise Love's a plot twist.

01:19A couple years ago, they kind of took a, like, a nod from Love Island.

01:22They did, like, the Casa Amor kind of thing.

01:24Is there a show that you would be excited that they were going to take a cue from,

01:27like, The Challenge or Married at First Sight or Too Hot to Handle,

01:31or a show that you'd be like, oh, God, please don't take a cue from that one?

01:33I mean, I think The Challenge would be cool.

01:37You know, I've watched that many times just through close friends.

01:41And other than that, I don't know.

01:43Yeah.

01:43That's probably, that'd be a fun one.

01:45Okay.

01:45The Golden contestants are going to be in play somehow.

01:48We don't totally know, but do you have an age gap for you

01:50where you would draw the line at dating?

01:53I mean, I've definitely got older women in my dating history.

01:58I don't really, like, approach it as, like,

02:00I don't even think about someone's age.

02:04Age gap.

02:05I don't think the older Golden Batch.

02:10They're going to be more guidance in friendships.

02:12I can just say that.

02:13We love that.

02:14And I think they'll be great for advice.

02:18I think that will be a very fun dynamic to watch,

02:19but I have to ask, you know.

02:23Are we excited about that?

02:27Are we excited about the potential dates?

02:30Yeah, I mean, this is kind of my home away from home.

02:32I've been down here a lot since November, six times.

02:36Oh, wow.

02:36I just like being here, right?

02:38Okay.

02:38And whatever it is, I think I'm just excited for the experience

02:40to hang with everyone and just kind of see what happens.

02:44Are you open to an engagement?

02:47Well, I can't communicate about that.

02:51Okay.

02:53Obviously, like, Paradise has a lot of options.

02:55Mm-hmm.

02:56I've realized that it takes time to really get to know somebody,

03:01and you find out a lot when you step off a show,

03:04and I think things don't have to be rushed,

03:06so, you know, never say never because it happened before,

03:10but I've learned a lot on just how I approach relationships,

03:14and, you know, you've got to take your time to find out what's right.

03:16Is there anyone you're hoping to see?

03:19Have you been keeping up,

03:20or is this going to be, like, a fresh slate for you,

03:22like, of the type of the women that are going to be on the show?

03:24Fresh slate.

03:25No preconceived notion, anything like that.

03:29You know, I came into this, like, just wanting to be open,

03:32and it's a big commitment for anyone,

03:35and I've been pretty out of the loop in the franchise for a long time.

03:38And so, yeah, I'm just approaching it open.

03:42Do you have a Bachelor in Paradise prediction?

03:44I'm asking everyone, either a number of engagements,

03:46something that might happen personally, a drama that could start.

03:48What's your prediction that we can watch back in a few weeks?

03:51Mm-hmm.

03:53I have a prediction that, you know,

03:55I'm going to meet somebody who's pretty fire.

03:58I think so, too.

03:59And do you have a Bachelor in Paradise couple goal,

04:01a successful couple that has come out of the franchise

04:04that you would like to emulate?

04:05I think everyone is unique.

04:11I know Ari, and we spent time in Greece together,

04:16and, you know, that's definitely kind of goals.

04:20JoJo, you know, a lot of people know their relationship,

04:23and I just think it's a beautiful thing, right?

04:25Relationships are hard, and they don't always work out,

04:29but especially when you're kind of in a space

04:32where there's so much attention and so many eyes,

04:34it makes it even harder.

04:36So, you know, how they've navigated things

04:38is really, really impressive.
