00:00Hi, it's me, Dooley. Do you like my umbrella? What's that you say? It's not raining?
00:09Oh, galloping galaxies. Guess I don't need this then. I'm so glad you're here, because today we're going to learn all about weather.
00:18Here on your beautiful planet, you have rain, and snow, and wind, and the sun. It's so exciting, and there's so much to see. So come on, let's get started.
01:00Oh, simmering stars. I love walking in the garden, enjoying the flowers, the green trees, the lovely lawn.
01:15Oh, gravity gravy. What happened? Look at all the flowers. Everything is so green.
01:22Mighty meteors. Max, Nick, Marty, everybody. Something's happened to the garden.
01:31Dooley, what is it? Are you okay?
01:33Huff-muff, Dooley. I mean, uh, what's up?
01:36Leaping light years. Just look. Everything is so big. Where did all these flowers come from?
01:42Is that all? You really had us worried.
01:46We thought something was wrong.
01:48Oh, no. Nothing's wrong. Everything is wonderful. The garden looks so pretty. Everything is so green.
01:58Where did all these new flowers come from?
02:00I think I snow-na-nappin'. I mean, uh, know what happened? It rained all last week. And here on Earth, when it rains, plants grow.
02:11Oh.
02:12Rain helps plants grow.
02:14That's right. Rain and sunlight.
02:16Oh. Rain and sunlight? Cosmic comets? I don't get it. Which do plants need? Rain or sunlight?
02:26Plants need both, Dooley. Plants need rain first, then they need sun to help them grow.
02:32But we need to help them, too, by working in the garden.
02:35So, if we Dirk and the Martin, I mean, uh, work in the garden, do we get more flowers?
02:41Hmm. We truly, duly can, Marty. I think we should get started right now.
02:48We're all dressed to work in the garden. I'll go get the soil.
02:51I've got the flower pots. I've got the gardening tools.
02:55And I've got the battering ram. I mean, uh, the watering can.
03:01And I have the seeds. Well, I guess we have everything we need to do some planting.
03:06We start with the seed, like Dooley said, a pot of soil to make its bed.
03:20We place it so, the sun and the sea, to give it water, that's all it needs.
03:28In a little while, it's no surprise. There's a young green plant bleaching up for the skies.
03:37We make it grow with care and time. A little water that forms a shine.
03:45We make it grow from a tiny sea. Before you know it, it's so bright and green.
03:53Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh. We make it grow.
04:02Once it's growing, our work's not done. We keep it watered in the sun.
04:10We keep the bugs and the weeds away, so it can grow more every day.
04:18These green things growing, and flowers too, make this world nicer for me and you.
04:27We make it grow with care and time, a little water and warm sunshine.
04:34We make it grow from a tiny seed, before you know it, it's so bright and green.
04:43Oh, oh.
04:45Oh, oh.
04:48We make it grow.
04:53Leaping light years, weather sounds like fun.
05:01The sun to make the plants grow, and the rain to feed them.
05:05I want to know more.
05:07We can read more about weather in a book.
05:09Or we could build a weather machine.
05:12A weather machine?
05:15Yes, a weather machine.
05:17It will make the weather and we will learn more about it.
05:21Come on, Marty, there's work to do.
05:24This is going to be fun.
05:26Do you think doing it and Marty can really make a weather machine?
05:29I don't know, but I do know one thing.
05:32I sure want to see him try.
05:35Today, let's play hide and seek outside.
05:42Yippee!
05:43Outside!
05:45Cosmos, why are you dressed like that?
05:51I'm wearing sunglasses to protect my eyes from the bright sun and a hat to keep the sun off my fuzzy little head.
05:58Uh, Zoom, can you tell me something?
06:01Anything, Cosmos-o-buddy.
06:04Why are you dressed like that?
06:06Well, I'm wearing a hat to protect my head and a scarf to keep my neck and face warm from the cold.
06:13But it's a warm sunny day.
06:16You'd better change.
06:18No, no.
06:19I think you'd better change.
06:21It's cold outside.
06:23Uh, are you sure, Zoom?
06:26Yes.
06:27Are you sure, Cosmos?
06:29Uh, well, I think so.
06:32But maybe I should change.
06:34Then maybe I should change, too.
06:38Today's Bible fun facts are about weather.
06:47The Bible tells us God made the sun to keep us warm.
07:03God made the weather, too.
07:05Clouds, thunder, lightning, and rain.
07:07God also made rainbows to remind us of his promise that the rain will always stop and that the sun will come out again.
07:13Oh, are they growing yet?
07:29No, Julie.
07:30Flowers don't grow as soon as you plant them.
07:32They take time and water.
07:34And plant food.
07:36But not too much.
07:38Oh, I know.
07:40That's what you tell me every time I ask if we can feed and water the plants again.
07:44Howdy-do-all!
07:46Mrs. Z!
07:47Looks like you've been gardening.
07:49That's right, Mrs. Z.
07:51We just got finished planting some flowers.
07:53We watered them and fed them.
07:56But I think they'll grow faster with some rain.
07:58We don't want to give flowers too much water, Dooley.
08:01But I do have your letter of the day.
08:03An R for rain.
08:06And raincoat, which is what I wear when it rains.
08:10And run, which is what I do when I get caught in the rain.
08:13Which reminds me of a joke.
08:15Ready?
08:16Ready.
08:17When does rain make a mistake?
08:19When, Mrs. Z?
08:21Rain makes a mistake.
08:23Are you ready?
08:24Ready.
08:25Rain makes a mistake during a blunderstorm.
08:28I know a joke or a fiddle.
08:37Maybe you've heard it before.
08:40You'll either grow or giggle too.
08:43But that's what jokes and riddles are for.
08:47I can tell them till tomorrow.
08:50Cause I love to have fun.
08:53I know you think that was funny.
08:55But wait until you hear this one.
08:58Knock, knock.
08:59Who's there?
09:00Lettuce.
09:01Lettuce who?
09:02Lettuce in.
09:03It's cold out here.
09:05I know a joke or a fiddle.
09:11Maybe you've heard it before.
09:15You'll either grow or giggle.
09:18But that's what jokes and riddles are for.
09:22I can tell them till tomorrow.
09:25Cause I love to have fun.
09:28I know you think that was funny.
09:31But wait until you hear this one.
09:33Mrs. Z, what won't get wetter no matter how much it rains?
09:37I don't know.
09:37What won't get wetter no matter how much it rains?
09:40The ocean.
09:45I know a joke or a fiddle.
09:48Maybe you've heard it before.
09:51You'll either grow or giggle too.
09:54But that's what jokes and riddles are for.
09:58I can tell them till tomorrow.
10:01Cause I love to have fun.
10:04I know you think that was funny.
10:07But wait until you hear this one.
10:09What stays hot no matter how cold it gets?
10:12What, Michael?
10:14Pepper.
10:18I know a joke or a fiddle.
10:21Maybe you've heard it before.
10:25You'll either grow or giggle too.
10:27But that's what jokes and riddles are for.
10:32I can tell them till tomorrow.
10:35Cause I love to have fun.
10:38I know you think that was funny.
10:41But wait until you hear this one.
10:44Well, you know what they say about the weather.
10:47Everyone talks about it.
10:49But no one ever does anything.
10:51Julie and Marty sure are.
10:54Yeah, they're building a weather machine.
10:56And when they're all done, we'll be able to see all kinds of weather.
11:00That will be fun.
11:01I can't wait to see it on my next delivery.
11:03Well, I better make like the wind and blow out of here.
11:06Please stay.
11:07Please stay.
11:08It's a little longer.
11:09Sorry.
11:10But I do have some picture pals to keep you company.
11:12Oh, thank you.
11:14Dosvidanya, kids.
11:15That's Russian for goodbye.
11:17Dosvidanya, Mrs. Z.
11:20Oh, look.
11:22Quivering quarks.
11:24This one was sent in by Annalise.
11:26What a wonderful picture.
11:28And this one is from Nicholas.
11:30What great colors.
11:32And this picture was sent in by Alex.
11:35It's so beautiful.
11:36They're all Truly Dooley-rific pictures.
11:39Thanks, picture pals.
11:41Hey, kids.
11:42Rain helps plants and trees grow.
11:44Playing at it can be lots of fun.
11:46Look at this.
11:50He has a song about a rainy day.
11:54Sky full of clouds and turning gray.
11:57You see, the rain is the reason why
12:00all the trees grow up to the sky.
12:03Hi, hi, ho.
12:06The rain comes down, makes everything go.
12:09Hi, hi, yee.
12:12Without the rain, we'd have the plants and trees.
12:16In the forest, all the creatures know.
12:19Without the rain, they would have to go.
12:22Because the plants and the trees provide.
12:25Every bug and bird a place to hide.
12:28Hi, hi, ho.
12:31The rain comes down, makes everything go.
12:34Hi, hi, yee.
12:37Without the rain, we'd have the plants and trees.
12:40What would happen if it didn't rain?
12:56Would the flower gardens still remain?
12:59Or would they turn into desert sand?
13:02Think about it, think about it and you'll understand.
13:06Hi, hi, ho.
13:09The rain comes down, makes everything go.
13:12Hi, hi, yee.
13:15Without the rain, we'd have the plants and trees.
13:18Hi, hi, ho.
13:21The rain comes down, makes everything go.
13:24Hi, hi, yee.
13:27Without the rain, we'd have the plants and trees.
13:30Without the rain, we'd have the plants and trees.
13:33Without the rain, we'd have the plants and trees.
13:37Children of the Rain
14:03Wow, Marty, this is awesome.
14:08Well, you set your water to the weather machine.
14:14Now, let's see if it works.
14:17If I try this...
14:24It's really snowing.
14:28Snow is cold.
14:30And wet.
14:31And white.
14:33Look at all the flakes.
14:35We need coats and hats for this kind of weather, Marty.
14:39One middle stand-upment.
14:41I mean, one little adjustment.
14:45Whoa!
14:47Amazing asteroids.
14:49Now our weather machine is making the sun shine.
14:52It's so bright and hot and dry.
14:56Makes me feel like going to the beach.
14:59What other kind of weather can this machine make?
15:01Well, so far, we made it cold and snow.
15:05Then we made it hot.
15:07Hmm.
15:08What else can we do, Marty?
15:10Watch this.
15:11Whoa!
15:13Whoa!
15:14I think I turned it up too high.
15:17Windy!
15:18Whoa!
15:19I'll get it.
15:20I'll get it.
15:21I'll get it.
15:22I'll get it.
15:23Almost there.
15:24Almost there.
15:25That was really windy.
15:27And fun.
15:28And exhausting.
15:30Oh!
15:31Ready!
15:32Ready!
15:33Boom!
15:34Doom!
15:35Why are you dressed like that?
15:36I'm dressed for a fun day at the beach.
15:38Look.
15:39I have my snorkel.
15:40I even have my sunscreen.
15:41See?
15:42Hmm.
15:43Uh, Cosmos.
15:44Why are you dressed like that?
15:45I think it looks like rain outside today.
15:47I'm dressed for the rain.
15:48I have my umbrella.
15:49See?
15:50You're going to be very hot at the beach.
15:51No.
15:52You're going to be very wet in the rain.
15:53You'd better change, Cosmos.
15:54Well...
15:55Well...
15:56Huh!
15:57Huh!
15:58No!
15:59Uh...
16:00Huh...

16:03It's like rain outside today.
16:04I'm dressed for the rain.
16:05I have my umbrella.
16:06See?
16:07You're going to be very hot at the beach.
16:08No.
16:09You're going to be very wet in the rain.
16:10You'd better change, Cosmos.
16:11Well...
16:12Huh...
16:13Huh.
16:14Huh.
16:15Huh.
16:16Huh.
16:18Huh.
16:19Huh.
16:20Huh.
16:21Huh.
16:22Huh.
16:23Huh.
16:24Today, Julie and Marty learned how the weather helps plants grow.
16:38Here's some more Bible fun facts about nature.
16:41God created all the plants and trees on earth.
16:44He grows flowers and plants everywhere.
16:46When we plant seeds and water them, we help God make the seeds grow.
16:50Hey kids, it's time to do the Dooley.
16:54Everybody, get ready to Dooley.
16:56Come on, stand up.
16:57Here we go.
16:58Oh, yeah.
17:00Here's a little dance that I like to do.
17:05Give it a try and you can do it too.
17:08Stomp your feet, feet.
17:10Stomp your feet.
17:11Stomp your feet, feet.
17:13Feel the beat.
17:15Hey, everybody, do the Dooley with me.
17:19Come on.
17:21Here's a little dance that I like to do.
17:24Give it a try.
17:25You can do it too.
17:26Clap your hands.
17:27Hands.
17:28Clap your hands.
17:29Clap your hands.
17:30Clap your hands.
17:31Hands.
17:32Oh, it's grand.
17:33Hey, everybody, do the Dooley with me.
17:38Okay.
17:39Now, everybody, do your own special dance.
17:43Let's go.
17:44Yeah!
17:45Woo!
17:46Woo!
17:47Oh, yeah!
17:48Yeah!

18:05Bye, everybody, come on.
18:19Yeah!
18:20Well, we've had cold weather, we've had snow, hot sun, strong winds, all we're missing
18:48now is the rain I wanted for the flowers.
18:51No problem.
18:52Here comes the rain.
18:57Metallic meteorites, look at all the rain.
19:01Now the flowers will be fed.
19:03I'm so happy, and so are they.
19:11Hi, kids.
19:13Why do you all have umbrellas?
19:16You wouldn't believe it, Mom, but it just rained here.
19:19Dooley and Marty made their weather machine.
19:21It was amazing.
19:22We had all four seasons in just one day.
19:26Yeah.
19:27Fall, winter, and summer.
19:29And now it feels like spring.
19:31Spring?
19:32You mean like this.
19:35No, Dooley.
19:36Spring is one of the four seasons.
19:39Oh, the four seasons.
19:42Of course.
19:44The four seasons.
19:46What was I thinking?
19:48What's the four seasons?
19:51The seasons are four different times of year.
19:54Each season has its own weather conditions.
19:56And the seasons are called winter, spring, summer, and fall.
19:59Leap and light years.
20:01Tell me more.
20:02Sure, Dooley.
20:03Let's all get together and sing about the weather.
20:12Weather is a wonder, there isn't any doubt.
20:17Whether it is snowing, or if the wind is blowing,
20:22The weather's gonna tell us what it's really all about.
20:27Summer's really hot, the sun shines a lot,
20:37And summer storms can't put on quite a show.
20:40But winter, as a rule, may start to be real cool,
20:46I wouldn't be surprised if we see snow.
20:50Let's all get together, and sing about the weather.
20:55Weather is a wonder, there isn't any doubt.
21:00Whether it is snowing, or if the wind is blowing,
21:05The weather's gonna tell us what it's really all about.
21:14See the leaves are falling, when they hear autumn calling,
21:19And soon the higher temperatures may go.
21:23Then after winter's fling, you turn around, it's spring!
21:28Come on out and watch the flowers grow!
21:32Yeah!
21:33Let's all get together, and sing about the weather.
21:37Weather is a wonder, there isn't any doubt.
21:42Whether it is snowing, or if the wind is blowing,
21:47The weather's gonna tell us what it's really all about.
21:53Yeah!
21:56You can't escape the weather, it's been around forever,
22:01And rain and thunder have to have their way.
22:05So before you wear a sweater, you better check the weather.
22:10The weather's gonna change from day to day.
22:15Let's all get together, and sing about the weather.
22:19Weather is a wonder, there isn't any doubt.
22:24Whether heat is snowing, or if the wind is blowing,
22:29The weather's gonna tell us what it's really all about.
