00:00Singer Bruce Springsteen brought out a very special guest at his show in Liverpool as he performed
00:06with local legend Sir Paul McCartney. The American musician was joined on stage by the 82-year-old
00:12Beatles star during the second of two shows at Anfield Stadium over the weekend. With Sir Paul
00:18providing vocals as the pair played the band's Can't Buy Me Love. I think it's good, good for the
00:24city. I believe after that he went up to Lippa didn't he? I think it was amazing like you know
00:29that he's still got time for Liverpool you know it's it shows you that he really cares about the
00:34city like doesn't it you know. Unreal. 75-year-old Springsteen and his E Street
00:40bands are in the UK as part of his Lands of Hope and Dreams tour which kicked off with three shows
00:45in Manchester last month. Footage shared on social media showed the surprised crowd cheering loudly
00:51as Sir Paul was introduced before he then playfully pointed at Springsteen and the pair shared an
00:56embrace. Before he left the stage after their performance Sir Paul addressed the crowd and
01:01reportedly said thank you Scousers. We've been on the streets of Liverpool to ask who is on your
01:07bucket list to see live in concert. There's a few actually but probably Jimi Hendrix
01:14and then Prince Bob Marley. Probably someone from the 80s you know yeah yeah I think that was the
01:23best time like you know you two or someone like that you know what I mean they were a good group
01:28like you know which you know you probably wouldn't see them now live like. Fleetwood Mac I think is who I
01:35would want to go and see and I think yeah they're a vibe they're a vibe like festival energy you know what I
01:40mean I feel like that's that's what we all need yeah. The two men have previously performed together
01:46on several occasions most notably when Sir Paul delivered a headline set at Glastonbury in 2022.
01:53Announced as a surprise all the way from the east coast of America Springsteen joined Sir Paul who
01:58became the festival's oldest solo headliner as they played hits Glory Days and I Want to Be Your Man on
02:04the pyramid stage. In 2012 Sir Paul had joined Springsteen on stage at the end of the singer's
02:10headline slot at Hard Rock Calling in Hyde Park London but both stars found their microphones cut
02:15off before they could address the crowds after exceeding the curfew. I would like to have seen the
02:20Beatles but they were just there before my time. I wish I could have seen the Beatles but they've got no
02:27chance of seeing them but you know it is what it is. I think Jamie Webb's obviously a popular one isn't he?
02:33Yeah I think he's good I think his songs are good and I think I think Liverpool is very much being
02:37put on the map I think with all kinds of artists and creatives and everything at the moment which
02:43is really nice. Beginning his career in the 1960s Springsteen has gone on to have 12 UK top 10 albums
02:50and four UK top 10 singles and is best known for songs such as Born in the USA, Dancing in the Dark and Born to Run.
