The government is launching a new £187 million government “TechFirst” programme to bring digital skills and AI learning into classrooms and communities and train up people of all ages and backgrounds for the tech careers of the future. Telecoms minister Chris Bryant said: "We rekcon that by 2030, 10 million jobs in the UK will have some element of AI or computing as part of their responsibility."

00:09So we need to make sure that everybody in the UK has the tech skills they need for this economy that's coming along.
00:15That's why we're investing 187 million pounds in kids in school getting proper teaching in AI and computing,
00:22university students, university graduates, every part of the economy.
00:26We need to ride the crest of this wave and not be submerged by the AI advent that's coming.
