Police arrested a 40-year-old Singaporean man in connection with a road rage incident in Johor on Saturday (June 7).

Johor Baru North police chief Asst Comm Balveer Singh said the man was arrested at 6.20pm on Sunday (June 8) by officers from the Criminal Investigation Division of the Johor Baru North police headquarters.

00:27He said a 31-year-old Malaysian man lodged a police report on Saturday, claiming he was
00:33honked at by a Singapore-registered Toyota Altis in Tamantun Amina.
00:38He said the Singaporean was dissatisfied that the man's car had allegedly blocked his path
00:43in the Tamantun Amina area.
00:45An argument ensued and the suspect allegedly kicked the complainant's vehicle, causing
00:50damage.
00:51No injuries were reported.
00:53Several checks on the Singaporean revealed that he has no prior criminal record, and
00:58that he tested negative for drugs.
01:00It is said the Singaporean will be taken to court in Johor Bahru on June 9 for a remand
01:06application under Section 426 of the Penal Code and Section 509 of the Penal Code.
