00:00You're presenting. How exciting is that for you?
00:02I'm very excited to be here. First time at the Tony's.
00:04First time really sort of soaking it all up.
00:08But everyone's been very friendly so far, so don't break the trend.
00:11No, I love that. I love that.
00:12Well, you are actually coming to Broadway.
00:14You're reprising your role as Draco Malfoy.
00:17How special is that, and what went into that decision to come back?
00:20I mean, it didn't take me very long to say yes, to be honest with you.
00:23I thought they were joking. I thought they were winding me up.
00:26Yeah, I sort of let go of the blonde hair a long time ago.
00:28But when I realized it was real, and it's been the dream of, well, myself and lots of actors, obviously, to be on Broadway, so here I am.
00:39Well, are you going to dye the hair? Are we wearing a wig? How are we approaching it this time?
00:43Well, I can't tell you all the secrets, but Draco in the play, he has a much longer haircut than mine.
00:51So it would take me probably 12 years to grow it, let alone dye it.
00:53So I think it will be the wig this time.
00:55What is it like to sort of approach who Draco is at this point in his life, and how special is that for you to step back into that journey?
01:03Well, it's kind of perfect, really, because he's exactly the same age as me in the play.
01:07So I've had a 16-, 15-year gap from playing him, and now it's very much reprising the role, but also creating a new one, because he's a father now.
01:20He doesn't want to make the same mistakes that Lucius made with Draco.
01:23So it's familiar, but it's brand, brand new, so I'm very excited for that.
01:29And they just announced the new cast for the new Harry Potter reboot series.
01:34Have you been able to talk to anyone that was part of that production, and what sort of advice would you give to the young cast?
01:40I was just upset that my Hermione audition didn't get through.
01:44No joke.
01:44Listen, there's still time. Maybe we can negotiate.
01:47No, I'm thrilled for them all. I can speak for all the cast, but we're all very excited for their journey.
01:54We had so much fun making the films. I'm sure they're going to have an equally good time.
01:58And I'm going to find my way to sort of be a background extra at some point as a little Easter egg, so keep your eyes open.
02:06Listen, I'm sure that won't be too hard. And you're joining the Broadway community in the fall.
02:10Is there anyone here tonight that you're excited to maybe talk to or congratulate that you haven't had a chance to meet yet?
02:15Lots. Honestly, I saw mention names. I'm here with my mom, who is my most important guest.
02:23But I know there's an absolute labyrinth of talent that's going to come out tonight.
02:28I won't lie, I do have a secret soft spot for Hamilton, so apparently that's happening tonight.
02:33The 10-year anniversary, there might be a performance.
02:36You're going to get me teary. Let's not do it now.
02:38No.
