04:42but they were my things though right but they weren't you they weren't the answer they weren't
04:50your parents I know you're right when I was a little girl I would sit there and I'd watch my
04:59parents fix everything and then I grew up and I learned how to do the same my dad and I built
05:05that barn that kept us safe last night and I have watched hours and hours of home rental shows
05:12I'm gonna rebuild this house myself

05:35I was actually
05:36thinking about that earlier this morning

07:00fell landed on the hood of his car just like that he didn't make it there's never been a
07:06storm like this recorded in the county's history we're all praying that there aren't any more
07:10casualties I can't believe this um thank you so much Frida drop safe you too Colin roads are in bad
07:21shape hey Sutter it's Colin yeah no how are you it uh looked pretty bad up there last night yeah

07:43Christensen's barn excuse me you want to explain I'm fine but um her house was destroyed in the store
07:57that's awful oh and good of you to take care of her oh no she's actually the one who took care of me
08:03she actually got me in out of the storm kept me dry how did you end up at her place I mean I know
08:09you got that property up there next to hers but hey uh Sutter listen I gotta go um this is the only
08:15line that we have okay uh just tell me one thing she's still as good looking as I remember
08:22better you'd be good to her Colin yeah no mom I love her I already did later see
08:30that's how the Shumaks make out the road to their barn washed out completely but they got their animals
08:40out early so they did that's some good news I guess hey going back to what I said earlier about helping
08:50you rebuild your house be no trouble it's okay I can figure it out thank you it's not like I think
08:58that you need a man's help or anything like that it's just you know what I do for a living right yes
09:03you make furniture I'm a carpenter pretty good carpenter actually and so helping with your house
09:09would be no problem that's a really nice offer but no thank you the phone's free so I'm going to call my
09:17fiancee you update hey it's me Lauren my assistant's been trying you for hours are you okay yes I'm fine
09:37um but my entire house was destroyed but and sorry I would have called earlier but
09:44all the power's out all the phone lines are down
09:50your house was destroyed but my Lauren's okay I'm fine I promise you should move into my
09:56Manhattan condo while I'm still closing this deal then when I'm done I'll meet you there
10:00you want me to leave at a time like this dang I I can't do that the community needs every single one
10:06of us here right now look I just want you to be safe thank you that's that's sweet but
10:14I'm going to stay here and I also want to rebuild my family home myself listen give me a couple hours
10:23I'm going to talk to my assistant he's going to find you the best crew in the tri-state area
10:27they'll be there this afternoon to start construction a crew no no um no no it's way
10:32too early for any of that you're going to supervise of course Dane Richards you have zero listening
10:38skills my grandparents built that family home and I'm going to do the same Lauren Lauren I'm just
10:45trying to help your school teacher you can't build a house by yourself I know it takes a team
10:48to rebuild a home but that team starts with me
10:56hey I need you in here excuse me sorry that was rude and that is why we need to get people out there
11:05now starting the cleanup efforts this is crazy the council has made a list of places to start Nathan
11:16I know you're doing your best with Mayor Wallace gone and all but we need to organize search parties
11:23to go out there and find the people who need help
11:28I just spoke with the people from FEMA less than an hour ago they need the roads clear so that they can
11:33deliver the relief supplies food water medicine right search and rescue is the main priority right now
11:40you said yourself that FEMA was not going to be here for several days this is not about you Colin
11:46please sit down Nathan given the circumstances I feel like we just set aside our differences
11:51now here we look out for each other that's what we do okay so there could be people out
11:57there without clean water without power they could be injured they could be sick we've got to have
12:03search parties to get out there and find those people sure our fire department is out there right
12:09now doing exactly just that great well we can help them how many firefighters are there we have five
12:17well-trained professionals five Nathan that's a lot of ground to cover and we should split those five
12:24up and each one of those firefighters can be in charge of a small search party of volunteers
12:28we could search the entire town in a day a day and a half at max so we'd have five search parties five
12:36fine the council will radio out to the professionals and if the firefighters agree council will allow
12:42page oh i'm so happy to see you i've been looking everywhere for you oh we tried to get to
13:03you i'm so glad you two made it through the storm okay oh we're fine we're fine hey how are you and
13:10mark oh we just lost the porch and the shed how about your place not as bad as some you know my heart
13:18goes out to carolina santos oh mine too hey was that colin i saw you waving at just now oh yeah yeah he's
13:29helping out with one of the search and rescue teams yeah i've heard he was helping but why are you waving
13:34at each other you hate him no i don't hate him oh really i have heard you say the actual words i hate
13:42colin trump i'm just worried about him you know paige i'm worried about everybody it's dangerous out
13:50there there are live power lines down there are complete road closures like so when exactly did the
13:58hate stop well last night we spent the night together in the barn and the laura tell me everything no
14:08nothing happens no we we just got to know each other a little better that's all okay let's help with
14:16the palm and you are telling me every detail come on
14:36nothing useless technology
14:39help help help me anybody help me
14:56mr rodrigan are you in there yes i'm here and i knocked off my wheelchair
15:03my leg is stuck stay calm yeah we have the rescue team here we're doing this to bring him we'll get
15:11you out
15:18i've been stuck here for hours
15:22all right we're here now okay we'll have you guys surely
15:33so did you hear what the chicken's a little dry but the mac and cheese is to die for
15:43nope thank you so much thank you your boyfriend's a hero
15:48oh yeah dane's in australia what could he have done no you're a new boyfriend
15:55i'm an engaged woman so you officially accepted dane's proposal then
16:00not exactly see i love dane i have no interest in colin except his friends and besides he made it
16:11very clear in the past that he was never interested either
16:17wait hero he saved mr rodriguez hugo fell out of his wheelchair and spent the entire storm on the floor of
16:26his bedroom he was lucky that colin found him wait is he going to be okay yeah joel he's a
16:34firefighter said colin cleared the debris and carried hugo out to the team joel said
16:42if they hadn't split up like colin suggested they wouldn't have got to hugo for a few more days
16:48and who knows what would have happened by then we have got ourselves a real live hero
17:02well if you're not interested maybe i should ask him out i think you should stop talking and eat some
17:07chicken i hear it's strong
17:25so
17:37How bad was it out there?
17:54More tough than bad.
17:57Why do I feel like you chose the areas that were hardest hit to search?
18:02I guess I should have thought that one through a little bit more.
18:07You must be exhausted, compared to what we did.
18:11Answering phones, ordering a few supplies.
18:14Oh, come on. I saw well-fed children in clean clothes that looked very happy.
18:20I know that was all you're doing.
18:23So, tell me about this fiancée.
18:27Dane?
18:27Dane is an architect. He's actually in Australia right now.
18:34He's working on a big project, and then he'll be back here.
18:42Is he a good man?
18:45Yes. Yes, he's very good to me.
18:51But?
18:51Well, when you're with the person you're supposed to marry, you have this gut feeling, right?
19:01Right.
19:03Unless he isn't.
19:08Oh, no, no, no. It's okay.
19:09Don't be silly.
19:11You're freezing.
19:13Just take it.
19:16You're welcome.
19:17You should run for mayor.
19:20Because I gave you my jacket?
19:22No.
19:23Although I would vote for that guy.
19:25The way you corralled the search and rescue team.
19:30And how you helped Mr. Rodriguez, it's...
19:33Listen, Joel saved Mr. Rodriguez.
19:35It's okay, I just moved some things out of the way.
19:39That's all.
19:40I'm not so sure that Nathan is the person for that.
19:45You should think about it.
19:46Yeah.
19:47I think I'll, uh, leave running this town to better men.
19:52Who said that?
19:53You send whoever said that my way, and I'll give them a good talking to.
19:57Oh, really?
19:58Mm-hmm.
19:58What would you say?
19:58In under 72 hours, a man who thought I hated him...
20:04Hey, you did hate me.
20:07Shh, I'm talking.
20:09Okay.
20:09This man saved my dog, helped scores of people, and offered to rebuild my family house.
20:18Which you refused.
20:20Which I appreciated.
20:22It's the intent that matters.
20:25Okay.
20:25And he offered me this lovely jacket, because he thought I was cold.
20:32You know what?
20:33If you're not cold, I'd be more than happy to take this jacket back.
20:37That's fine.
20:40Hey, Dane.
20:42My beautiful Lauren.
20:43How's everything flood-wise this morning?
20:44It was a beautiful day down under.
20:46Yeah, we're doing okay.
20:47It's...
20:48Things are still a little bit of a disaster, but we're all pulling through.
20:52That's my girl.
20:54So, uh, when are you getting here?
20:55Coming in?
20:56Sorry?
20:57Yeah, yeah.
20:58When is your project wrapping up so you can come help?
21:00Help?
21:00Happy to help.
21:01Just give me the number.
21:02I'll wire you the cash.
21:04Cash?
21:05No, no, no, no.
21:06Dane, this is not about cash, okay?
21:08I don't need money.
21:09Dane, I need you here.
21:11Dancer, come on.
21:26No!
21:30Get down on the phone, will ya?
21:33You want to help Tony with the lumber?
21:35All right, you got it.
21:35Excuse me.
21:37Hello.
21:37Hi.
21:38What's going on here?
21:40Looks like we're rebuilding somebody's home.
21:42Yes, this is my house.
21:44Ah, you must be Lauren Richards.
21:49It's Lauren Christensen.
21:52Did a man named Dane put you up to this?
21:55Mr. Richards hired us, yes.
21:57All right, I need everybody off of my property right now.
22:01Excuse me, miss?
22:06You have Dane.
22:07Dane, what is going on on my property right now?
22:10Lauren, guess what?
22:11I got my assistant to get a great crew.
22:13I'm not going to be there any minute now.
22:14Oh, yeah, they're all working here right now.
22:16Great.
22:17They said they'd be fast.
22:18No, Dane, I told you.
22:20I wanted to rebuild my family home myself.
22:23But I just wanted to support.
22:26Dane.
22:27You are a great guy.
22:29You really are.
22:30You have treated me like gold.
22:32But there is one thing that has become crystal clear to me,
22:35and that is that you have never treated me like an equal.
22:39You know, all my thoughts, all my feelings
22:41have been completely second to yours.
22:43What, Lauren?
22:44I...
22:45Like, you never listened.
22:46That time that I told you I didn't want to go to London.
22:49Or that I didn't need that new car.
22:51Or that I will never give up being a teacher.
22:53Lauren.
22:58They and I can't do this anymore.
23:03I can't marry you.
23:10Lauren.
23:12Lauren?
23:12Lauren?
23:12Lauren?
23:12Lauren?
23:12Lauren?
23:13Lauren?
23:13Lauren?
23:13Lauren?
23:13Lauren?
23:13Lauren?
23:14Lauren?
23:17Lauren?
23:18Lauren?
23:18Lauren?
23:19Lauren?
23:19Lauren?
23:19In my moment of weakness
23:39I need something to free this
23:44Heaviness on my heart that I can't shake
23:50I still carry it with me
23:59Feeling like I'm unworthy
24:03And the thing I need most is the hardest to take
24:09Where the shadows grow tall
24:17And your back's up against the wall
24:23In this moment it's clear
24:27In the darkest of times
24:31Love begins here
24:34You know, you really should get that dog a leash
24:39Yeah, well, add it to the list
24:42Holy cow, Lauren
24:45How did you build this this fast?
24:48Dane made a few calls
24:49That's a good call
24:51You think?
24:54Yeah, absolutely
24:56I've heard you go on about a dozen times
24:59About building this yourself
25:00So it's clearly important to you
25:02Wow
25:06I agree, thank you
25:08Hey, listen, also
25:10I need to apologize
25:11About last night
25:13You know, we
25:13We almost
25:15We almost
25:16But we didn't
25:18Right
25:18Right?
25:19That's the important thing
25:19Yeah, because, you know, emotions were high
25:21I don't know
25:22I guess that just
25:23Plus, who would've thought
25:26Sanctuary
25:27At night
25:28Would be that
25:30Nice
25:32Shall we say
25:33Yeah
25:33And the stained glass windows were
25:36Really nice as well
25:38It won't happen again
25:40It won't happen again
25:40Good call
25:44So
25:45What's next for you and this house, Miss Lauren?
25:51This house?
25:52Well, um
25:53Actually, I was hoping to recruit a nice, strong person
25:57To help me lift some heavy furniture
25:58I guess that's me
26:01All right
26:02Just a few feet back there
26:03Pivot to your right
26:05Right
26:05And we'll just go right to that wall
26:08Okay
26:10Right here?
26:11Yeah
26:11Amazing
26:15Okay, I just need your help with this trunk over here
26:19One or two things, huh?
26:37You okay?
26:39Yeah
26:40Oh, who doesn't want a chance to remodel?
26:43Right?
26:44I did want to do it myself, though
26:46Listen, I understand
26:48But
26:49Dane's people
26:50They did an amazing job
26:52Okay
26:53Because they left the entire foundation
26:55They put up the perimeter wall
26:57So you can completely design the layout
26:59I mean, you can move the kitchen
27:01From over here
27:02To right here
27:03Get better sunlight during the day
27:05Right here
27:06You could add a little, uh
27:08Breakfast look
27:09And, uh, this
27:10If you extend the mudroom out a little bit
27:12You have an extra bedroom
27:14Bedroom or an office?
27:16Or an office
27:16Anything you want
27:17Colin, these are good ideas
27:19I think they're all for tomorrow's work, though
27:21Sounds good
27:22I think I'm going to hit the hay
27:24Literally
27:25What do you mean?
27:27I think I'm going to spend the night in the barn again tonight
27:29By yourself?
27:34Well, with dance, sir
27:36Yeah, no
27:36I wasn't implying that I would stay with you
27:39I just, um
27:40Why not go back to the relief center?
27:42You know why?
27:43Because a really nice guy helped me fix up my bedroom in there
27:47And I'd like to embrace that
27:49Well, I'm going back there tonight myself
27:52So if you need a ride, I'd be more than happy
27:53Why?
27:54I thought your house was fine
27:55Yeah, no, it's fine
27:56I'm just going to go back in case anybody needs any help from me
27:58And think about it
27:59Here, you have no running water
28:02You don't have a working washroom
28:04I think the relief center will be a better idea
28:07So come back
28:08Get there with the townspeople
28:10And myself
28:11You flipped me
28:15That's good
28:16Come on, dad
28:17Come on
28:18Here in the morning
28:22We're not the same
28:25Well, I got the feeling
28:29That we're gonna change
28:32And having to keep it inside
28:36Deep in our hearts
28:39With only one lifetime
28:42Are what you're gonna cling to
28:46In this world
28:48In this life
28:50You need someone to hold you
28:52To stay young and stay free
28:56In this world
29:01In this life
29:03You need someone to love you
29:05This is what a good thing feels like
29:11In this world
29:14In this life
29:16You need someone to love you
29:18This is what a good thing feels like
29:24Hello!
29:28Got your little lunch?
29:31Thank you
29:32You're welcome
29:33So, I have a question for you
29:37Okay
29:38Mr. Colin Ladiesman
29:40How come you haven't found a lady for yourself yet?
29:45Honestly?
29:47Honestly
29:47My dad
29:50I remember your dad
29:54He left a few years back, no?
29:57Yeah
29:58After he cheated on my mother more than once
30:02I was the youngest of five boys
30:04And my mom was
30:06She didn't have the time
30:08Or the energy
30:10To supervise me
30:11And younger Colin
30:13Might have taken advantage of that
30:14But my mom
30:15After taking care of five boys
30:17After cooking dinners
30:19And cleaning the house
30:21And going through letters
30:21From my teachers
30:22She would actually sit down
30:24And tutor me
30:24Every night
30:25And
30:27It worked
30:28I got better grades
30:29And
30:30Moms
30:33You gotta love them
30:34Dad's not so much
30:36Apparently mine was
30:39Spending time
30:42All over town
30:43My mom
30:45She never
30:46Talked about it
30:47One night
30:48We were
30:49At my brother's wedding
30:51We're sitting there
30:53Just the two of us
30:54And she finally told me
30:56Everything that he had done
30:57How badly he had
31:00Hurt her
31:01And
31:02That was the night
31:05That was the night
31:06That I promised her
31:06I would never be like him
31:09I would never be my father
31:11And I might have been
31:14The resident ladies man
31:16As you put it
31:16But I never cheated
31:17Never
31:19But you can't spend
31:24Your whole life
31:24Pushing people away though
31:25Colin
31:26That's worked so far
31:29But
31:30Hey listen
31:30I want to make a suggestion
31:31Okay
31:32We've made a lot of progress
31:33On this house
31:34Great progress

31:48Permission

37:23Friends!
37:25Colin, she is asleep in a barn by herself.
37:32What would your mother think if she knew this?
37:36You know what? He's not even that good-looking.
37:38No matter how many times Zero thinks he catches me checking him out, he's not.
37:44He's so amazing, though. He just doesn't see it.
37:49He saved entire families out there.
37:54He helped rebuild my house.
38:03Friends, my fight.
38:08That's it.
38:11That's it.
38:23Lauren!
38:25Lauren!
38:26Lauren?
38:43Hello?
38:44Hey, Colin. It's me. It's Lauren.
38:47Um, why aren't you answering your door?
38:50Wait, you're at my place?
38:52Wait, you're not at your place?
38:54No, no, I'm at your place.
38:56What are you doing there?
38:58I, uh...
39:00I was worried about you.
39:03Yeah.
39:04You started coming.
39:05Check on you.
39:06What are you doing at my place?
39:08I got scared.
39:08Uh, yeah, I just, I was scared staying in the creepy barn by myself.
39:13You said it wasn't creepy.
39:14No, I know, but it, it turns out it is.
39:17Oh.
39:19You're at my place, I'm at your place.
39:23Yeah, it's pretty funny.
39:25Why don't you just, why don't you just crash at my place tonight, and I'll stay here.
39:31Yeah, no, that, um, that sounds great.
39:35Very reasonable.
39:36Yeah, um, the, um, the key to the front door is there on the window seal.
39:43We'll all have a big laugh about this tomorrow, Lauren.
39:46I know.
39:48Okay, good night, Colin.
39:50It's my sleep, Lauren.
39:50It's my sleep, Lauren.
40:20I remember this.
40:41Who's got the on-site?
40:46You can't do this.
40:50Dancer?
41:11Is this you, buddy?
41:12Colin, sleeping in a pink frilly bed.
41:23That's what you're doing.
41:41Lauren?
41:42What are you doing here?
41:44I came here to talk to you.
41:47Okay.
41:49Is everything all right?
41:51No, actually, it's not.
41:53Okay.
41:55I...
41:56I really like you, Colin.
42:00I really like you.
42:02And actually, I came to apologize to you, too,
42:05for hating you all of those years after that stupid day at the picnic.
42:10Because I was just embarrassed, and I was really insecure,
42:15and I spent years trying to avoid you,
42:18thinking that you were this horrible person,
42:19even though you're not at all.
42:21I was a horrible person.
42:24You're not a horrible person, Colin.
42:29You are smart.
42:31Right?
42:31You're kind.
42:33You're a leader.
42:35And, okay, I saw the furniture in your house.
42:38Wow.
42:38Talk about talented.
42:39And you listen to me.
42:44You care about what I have to say.
42:48You care about other people, Colin.
42:50Do you know how rare that is?
42:51I like you.
42:57And if I'm being honest, I think you like me, too.
43:03Lauren, you have a fiancé.
43:06I mean, I saw his pictures up in your bedroom.
43:09Your barn room.
43:11Whatever.
43:12You two seem incredibly happy together.
43:15You deserve him.
43:18All right?
43:18Because I was awful.
43:19No, you were just pushing me away like you're doing right now.
43:23Lauren, how could I not like you?
43:26Tell me.
43:28You're at the top of the class.
43:31The best catch.
43:33The most beautiful woman in town.
43:35You dedicate your whole life to helping children.
43:39You're smart.
43:40Talented.
43:42You're an absolute boss with a nail gun.
43:45You give back to other people,
43:47and you deserve the best.
43:50And, Lauren, that's not me.
43:52History has shown that.
43:54It's not me.
43:55You deserve Dane.
43:58I broke up with Dane.
44:01When?
44:03That day that he brought the crew over
44:06and I asked him not to.
44:08Why did you do that, Lauren?
44:09My gut.
44:12And because he never listened to me.
44:15Why don't you say something sooner?
44:17Because I was so tired of relationships, Colin.
44:23You know?
44:24And then there's this incredible guy
44:26standing right in front of me,
44:28and...
44:29And I couldn't help but fall for him.
44:33Colin, I...
44:42I think I'm falling in love with you.
44:55I...
44:56I can't do this.
44:59I'm sorry.
45:00I thought I could, but I can't.
45:03I can't.
45:04I don't want to do something
45:19I can't take back
45:22Don't want to leave without seeing you
45:28I can't bear to look in your eyes
45:36All I see is the road that I didn't choose
45:42In another lifetime
45:46In some forgotten dream
45:51In another lifetime
45:53Maybe it was meant to be
45:58In another lifetime
46:07Sometimes I wonder where I'd end up
46:17If I follow the star game trail
46:23Into the unknown
46:27The years we've planned
46:30Living ghost
46:32Of a life that could have been
46:36Dancer?
46:44What are you doing here, buddy?
46:46Is Lauren here?
46:47No.
46:48Lauren!
46:51Must have run off again.
46:53What do you need?
46:58Yeah, um...
46:59Dancer's actually here
47:01At my place.
47:02Sorry about that.
47:03No, no, it's fine
47:04You're just supposed to
47:05Run off again.
47:07Um...
47:08Listen, if you want
47:09I could, um...
47:11You know, bring him
47:12Back to your place.
47:14Could you drop him at my friend Paige's?
47:17At Paige's book?
47:18Yeah.
47:18Yeah.
47:19That's...
47:20It's fine
47:21It's fine
47:21Um...
47:24Lauren, listen
47:25Thank you
47:26Paige!
47:34Hey!
47:35Dancer!
47:36You've been on your adventures again!
47:38Yes, yes!
47:38I'll keep him
47:40Till Lauren gets back
47:40From teaching
47:41Thanks
47:41Paige
47:43Could you
47:45Tell Lauren something for me?
47:47Tell Lauren what?
47:49Could you tell Lauren
47:50Just to get this dog a leash?
47:52Thanks
47:53Oh, God!
48:04Oh, God!
48:21Oh, God!
48:21Answer, I don't have time.
48:34Both of my interrupting?
48:37No.
48:38Just thought you were a dog, though.
48:40All right.
48:42What's going on?
48:44You know, calling for a smart guy,
48:46you can be pretty dumb sometimes.
48:48Man, you can't blame your dad for everything.
48:51I can blame him for a lot.
48:54Come on.
48:55Just talk to her.
48:57Okay, tell her how you feel.
48:58She doesn't want to talk to me.
49:00She doesn't want to see me.
49:02That ship has sailed, my friend.
49:05Well, that's not necessarily true.
49:07What do you mean?
49:09Building her house.
49:11When you're together, there's like a...
49:13There's a vibe.
49:15There's a vibe?
49:16Yeah, I woke up in high school.
49:17A vibe?
49:18I'm serious.
49:18It's just my gut, but I think there's still a chance, man.
49:22You don't understand, Ciro.
49:25You won't ever understand.
49:26No, Colin.
49:28You don't understand.
49:31What are you doing?
49:32Big guns.
49:36Sutter!
49:37Hey, buddy.
49:39Hey, listen.
49:40Not your turn to talk.
49:41We've known Lauren's family for, what, 40, 50 years?
49:45I know, Sutter.
49:46I'm not doing it.
49:47Listen, listen.
49:48You were a teenager when we moved back here from Georgia.
49:51And since then, there's only been one woman.
49:54Only one.
49:56Lauren.
49:57The problem is, you think you're not good enough.
50:00But it's not true.
50:02Sutter, what Dad did was...
50:03Listen, shut up.
50:04I'm not talking about Dad.
50:05I'm talking about you.
50:07You're a good man.
50:09You always have been.
50:12I don't need to tell you what Mom and Dad went through.
50:15Listen, hold on.
50:16Mom, she talks more about the good years than the bad years.
50:22With what happened to Mom, I promised her I would never hurt somebody like Dad hurt her.
50:27And you won't.
50:28You won't.
50:29You are not Dad.
50:33Tell me about Lauren.
50:35What?
50:36Well, I can't stop thinking about her.
50:38That's what you mean.
50:40I, uh...
50:42I...
50:43I just want to be with her.
50:48All the time.
50:49I mean, seeing...
50:50Seeing that girl accomplish something, it's...
50:53Something to behold when she gets this smile on her face.
50:57You know, it's...
50:58Sutter.
51:01I can't stop thinking about her.
51:03Well, there she is.
51:04Teaching a bunch of third graders.
51:06And there's a man on his way to maybe take her away from me forever.
51:10Do you really love her?
51:12All my heart.
51:14Yeah.
51:14Then don't let Dad's behavior stop you from maybe being with her forever.
51:19Can I show you something?
51:23I'll put it up.
51:24I made that.
51:25You made this?
51:26I ain't surprised.
51:27It's what I do.
51:28Wow.
51:29Think she'll like it?
51:30Yeah.
51:31Think it'll fit?
51:32You don't know if you don't try.
51:38You're right.
51:39Nice job.
51:45How's my Lauren?
51:46Dane, what are you doing here?
51:48I came to apologize.
51:50I want to make this work.
51:52Me and you.
51:53Dane, we talked about this.
51:56You were right.
51:57I should have listened to you.
51:59I should never have sent those guys to build your house for you or sent you that furniture or that Italian marble tile.
52:05It's just my way of taking care of you.
52:07And yet you took this long to get here.
52:10You chose your job, Dane.
52:13Look, look, I'm here now.
52:15I don't want to make this work.
52:17I am listening.
52:18But it's so much more than that.
52:22You know, after the storm hit, I realized what's important to me.
52:29And I also realized what's important to you.
52:33And those two things just aren't the same.
52:39I love you.
52:40And I loved you.
52:43But your life is all condos, right?
52:46And big city living.
52:48And I'm all little kids.
52:50We can make this place work.
52:51We're going to get a place here.
52:53We're going to buy a home.
52:55And you're going to design it.
52:56And it's going to be fantastic.
52:57I already have a house here.
52:59I have a home, actually.
53:01A home that I built myself.
53:07I'm sorry, Dane.
53:10No, Lauren, I'm sorry.
53:16I'm sorry.
53:46I've never pushed you away five years ago.
53:49Lauren, you're the most amazing woman I've ever met.
53:55Ever since I was a kid, I was always my best when I was with you.
54:01And I'm a better man when I am with you.
54:04Lauren, I've got to spend the rest of my life with you.
54:08Lauren, I made you something.
54:13Lauren Christensen?
54:16Would you marry me?
54:17Yes, yes, yes, I will.
54:29Oh, it's beautiful.
54:32It's gorgeous.
54:33Oh, my gosh.
54:39That was so romantic.
54:40That is the most beautiful ring I've ever seen.
54:44Right?
54:45Here, take a picture.
54:46Oh, shoot.
54:53I think she liked the ring.
54:55Our boy finally did it.
54:59No.
55:00No?
55:01No.
55:01It's nice.
55:02May I?
55:04Yes, you may.
55:07Oh!
55:08I don't know.
