00:02We have something in common since last time we met.

00:04We both became dads.

00:06Ah, congratulations.

00:08Congratulations to you.

00:10One thing that happened to me is I became a lot more

00:12emotional, I think, and tuned in

00:14on the birth of my little one.

00:16And I believe this might be

00:18the first, if one of the films you've

00:20made after becoming a dad.

00:22I wonder if the

00:24film itself kind of resonated with you

00:26in a different way, do you think? Or the filmmaking process

00:28with different experiences being a dad

00:30compared to being a before?

00:32No, I'm sure it did. I mean, certainly.

00:34I feel like

00:36becoming a father is

00:38there was a before and there's an after

00:40and I'm living in that after

00:42and I don't know

00:44and I don't want to go back.

00:46And

00:48it's very, very hard to describe

00:50other than

00:52just to say

00:54it's without question

00:56the most important

00:58and meaningful thing

01:00that's ever happened to me.

01:02It's the most important thing I will ever do

01:04is being a father.

01:06And

01:08the film really is about

01:10how

01:12the joy that we carry

01:14in our hearts

01:16and the connection

01:18that we need really when

01:20times get tough and when it feels like the world

01:22is falling apart

01:24is the love that we shared with the people who raised us.

01:26And in the film

01:28that's a relationship actually between

01:30young Chuck with his grandparents

01:32played by Mark Hamill and Mia Sarah.

01:34And

01:36it fortifies and sustains him as an adult.

01:40Of course, I play adult Chuck.

01:42And so, of course,

01:44all of that

01:46resonated with me as a father.

01:48Absolutely.

01:50I like to think neither of us look as

01:52exhausted as we probably feel.
