Thousands of protesters march through central London for a huge demonstration against Government spending cuts and welfare reform.The People's Assembly Against Austerity said it expected a huge turnout to the "No to Austerity 2.0” action to “send a message” to Sir Keir Starmer.

00:00The government is already on the retreat over Palestine. It's also on the retreat

00:05over cuts to disability benefits, over cuts to pensions and over the two-child

00:10benefit cap. When the government is retreating that is a time for the

00:15movement to up its demands. That is a time for the movement to extend and

00:20increase its mobilization and that's why today we have a demonstration over

00:25austerity. We're opening up a new front against this government. There's going

00:30to be thousands of people from the trade unions and way beyond marching against

00:35the cuts and also making the link with the growing militarization. People here

00:39are saying stop the cuts but also we need welfare not warfare.
