00:00When guitar players talk, we talk about the great ones.
00:11We always start at the top of the scale, basically.
00:15He had a fantastic humor, personality, he could sing, he was great looking,
00:18plus he was an incredible guitar player.
00:21I think, boy, man, this guy should have been an absolutely major star
00:24because he had everything going for him.
00:26He was successful in the ways that mattered to him or that mattered to real musicians.
00:32He came up with a way of addressing the instrument technically
00:37that actually nobody had done before, certainly.
00:40I knew eventually someone would come along that had modern ideas and everything,
00:45some young kid like Lenny who would really amaze the music world.
00:50I think Lenny has done it.
00:51He was like my son.
00:53I never wrote it.
00:56I'd be watching his fingers and making little notes and trying to,
01:01I had a little Silvertone guitar, trying to put my fingers where he put his fingers on the neck.
01:05And I learned just by watching him.
01:10He's part of that combustion that keeps the whole thing going.
01:16And Emily has raised the lighthouse so that anyone who's interested can find out who her father really was
01:27and where her father really is located.
01:33Long story, man.
01:34It's a long story.
01:35I could talk to you about it for five hours.
01:38It's just one of those things.
01:41A real genius.
01:42That's all.
01:55A real low five.
01:56Well, that's a woman.
01:57You know, why, how, how, how.
