Smart shopping expert Trae Bodge explains how you can still find good deals despite tariffs affecting the prices of goods.

00:00So first of all, I think it's really important for people to prioritize what they really
00:04need, especially because we do have higher prices coming on those bigger ticket items.
00:11My suggestion would be if, for example, your dishwasher is on its last legs and you are
00:17maybe going to get one later in the year, it could be a good time to start looking around
00:22for deals.
00:23So that's one thing that I would do.
00:25I would also start establishing some smart shopping habits.
00:30One may be shopping with lower cost retailers, buying store brands versus name brands, and
00:37then always using deal sites like installing a browser plugin like the Sidekick from Coupon
00:42Cabin.
00:43This will actively look for sales for you as you shop.
00:47Another tip I would say is consider shopping secondhand.
00:51The secondhand market will be huge because it's not going to be impacted by tariffs.
00:56So I think that that's a really good way to save money.
01:00And then lastly, you might find some good deals if you're looking for bundle opportunities.
01:05So for example, a lower cost phone carrier like Mint Mobile, you could buy a phone from
01:11them, which will be a comparable price to other carriers.
01:14But with that purchase, you could lock in a very low rate, as low as $15 per month for
01:19a year, for example.
01:20So look for those bundle offers because brands will have some wiggle room in some areas versus
01:26others.
01:27So that's a good way to take advantage of unexpected savings.
