Dungarpur, Rajasthan — In a heartwarming and emotional event, a unique wedding in Galandar village of Rajasthan's Dungarpur district has captured the attention of many and delivered a powerful message to society: Love has no expiry date.

After spending 70 years in a live-in relationship, 95-year-old Rama Bhai Angari and 90-year-old Jeevli Devi finally tied the knot in a traditional ceremony. Their journey, marked by unwavering companionship and mutual support, culminated in a celebration that moved not only their family but the entire village.

The couple began living together decades ago when formal marriage seemed out of reach. Over the years, they built a strong family of eight children—four sons and four daughters—many of whom are now employed in government services. Today, their joint family is known and respected in the village.

Recently, the elderly couple expressed their long-held wish to formalize their relationship through marriage. Their children wholeheartedly supported their decision and organized a full-fledged wedding to honor their parents' love and resilience.

On June 1, traditional pre-wedding rituals such as Haldi and Lagna were performed with community participation. The celebration included a Bindori procession with music, dance, and joy that lit up the entire village.

On the wedding day, under a flower-decked canopy, Rama Bhai and Jeevli Devi took the sacred seven vows, holding hands and pledging once more to stay together in love and faith.

This extraordinary wedding has now become an inspiration not only for Galandar but for society at large—proving that age is no barrier when hearts are united.
