00:00This is an ancient, ancient story of corruption and then renewal.
00:07And what we've got now is like the mother of all archetypes.
00:12It's the final reckoning.
00:14I mean, I've had hundreds, literally hundreds of conversations with people,
00:18where people have said, I knew, and now I'm going to do something.
00:23This was the biggest organised act of civil disobedience in British history.
00:31The name of the game on winding people up is you've got to wind them up, but not too much.
00:38It gets attention. Nothing is going to change without attention.
00:44I mean, I get involved with Parent Teachers Association and things like that.
00:49But I don't do anything like this.
00:53You have these set roles and people say, no, I'm a parent, I can't do it.
00:56No, I'm a filmmaker, I can't do it.
00:59The truly horrific thing about the climate catastrophe is you don't need to do anything for it to happen.
01:08Business as usual equals extinction.
01:12It's about all types of injustice, because they're all part and parcel of the same system that is holding us locked into this passive oppression.
01:27All this misery around activism, it's not, right? Once you've made this transition, it's like an act of service, it's an act of joy, it's an act of being who you are at last.
01:40During this journey, I've discovered depths of strength in me that I had no idea existed.
01:47The essence of what is human is the ability to make a decision on what is right in life, regardless of your consequences.
02:00And if a critical mass of people do that, then you get what might be called a great awakening.
02:19It's about this, if it's touching with the amount of degradation.
02:21You already know what it's about.
02:23You can always ask the volume of the degradation.
02:25And as I thought it was just a few minutes ago, I'd be takich to say if I can have one or three minutes to make a decision.
02:28I'm going to talk to you briefly about this video on demand.
