00:00I saw the things that were leaked yesterday about Doris Burke.
00:05And I just want to say a couple of things.
00:08She has changed the game for women in broadcasting.
00:14I have a daughter who just turned 21, who's in her second year at UVA.
00:20She's not in the basketball industry.
00:23But Doris is a great example of courage and putting herself out there.
00:30It was just so sad to see these reports leaked really unnecessarily before such a celebrated event.
00:39Doris is a friend.
00:42I've asked her many times, why don't you get into coaching?
00:44She has such great knowledge.
00:46I don't know what's going to happen with all that stuff.
00:48But I just want to say thank you to Doris for the example that she has put forth for
00:55young women like my daughter and all these people who are changing the game.

01:01And that's the reason that she was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame
01:05a couple of years ago.
01:05So I just want to say that in support of her.
