00:00...the birth certificate of Donald Trump's grandfather, born in 1869, close to Bad Dürkheim.
00:07Right?
00:08Yeah.
00:08That's called Sirius...
00:09And his christian name was Friedrich.
00:11Right?
00:12That's Sirius Germany.
00:13Sirius Germany.
00:14That's Sirius Germany.
00:16Bad Dürkheim is Sirius Germany.
00:18But I want to thank you very much for, uh, first of all, I want to thank you for that.
00:23That's beautiful.
00:24Thank you very much.
00:24Thank you again.
00:25Fantastic.
00:26We'll put it up in a place of honor.
00:28I don't know, maybe we can, uh, let's see, we can put it up there someplace.
00:34Uh, it's an honor to have you.
00:36As you know, the chancellor just won a, uh, great election.
00:40Very, very strong election.
00:42Uh, very respected man.
00:44I can tell you, we've been on the phone many times talking about some of the problems of the world outside of Germany.
00:50And, uh, it's very sad what, what's going on.
00:53We both feel that way.
00:54Uh, what's going on with, uh, Russia, Ukraine, and other things we talk about with Russia, Ukraine in particular.
01:00Uh, part of our mandate is we're going to have a great relationship with your country.
01:04Thank you, first of all, Mr. President, for your kind invitation to come to Washington, D.C.
01:10I was in this building first time ever in 1982, I told you, when former President Ronald Reagan was in office.
01:17So I'm very happy to be here again and to offer our close cooperation with the United States of America.
01:24Uh, we are having so much in common, our history.
01:29We owe the Americans a lot.
01:31We will never forget about that.
01:33And, uh, so with your German provenance, I think this is a very good basis for close cooperation between America and Germany.
01:40So, again, thank you.
01:42Thank you for the hospitality.
01:43We're not stopping until we get them out.
01:45We have thousands of murderers.
01:47I hate to, I even hate to say this in front of the Chancellor.
01:51Of course, you have a little problem, too, with some of the people that were allowed into your country.
01:54It's not your fault.
01:56It's not your fault.
01:56It shouldn't have happened.
01:57I told her it shouldn't have happened, what she did.
02:00Well, first of all, I'm glad to meet, because I've been dealing with the Chancellor, and he's very, uh, uh, a very good man to deal with.
02:08He's difficult, I would say.
02:09Can I say that?
02:10It's a positive.
02:11Go ahead.
02:11You wouldn't want me to say you're easy, right?
02:13No.
02:14No.
02:14He's a very great representative of Germany.
02:17And I think all we, uh, want is just going to have a good relationship.
02:20The rest will just sort of follow very easily.
02:23We'll have a, a good trade deal.
02:25I mean, I guess that will be mostly determined by the European Union, but you're a very big part of that, so you'll be involved.
02:32But, uh, we'll end up hopefully with a trade deal, or, or we'll do something.
02:37You know, we'll do the tariffs.
02:38I mean, I'm okay with the tariffs.
02:39I don't know.
02:40I mean, I haven't discussed it very much.
02:42I know that you're spending more money on defense now.
02:45And, uh, quite a bit more money.
02:48That's a positive thing.
02:50I'm not sure that General MacArthur would have said it's positive, you know.
02:54He wouldn't like it, but I sort of think it's good.
02:57You understand what I mean by that?
02:58Absolutely, I understand.
02:59He made a statement, never let Germany rearm.
03:03And I said, I always think about that when he says, sir, we're spending more money on defense.
03:07I say, oh, is that a good thing or a bad thing?
03:10I think it's a good thing.
03:11Uh, but, you know, at least to a certain point.
03:15There'll be a point when I'll say, please don't arm anymore if you don't mind.
03:19We'll be watching him.
03:20Thank you.
