00:00Imagine this, it's your very first English language lesson with your young
00:04language learners. What do you do? Where do you start? Panic! No wait, stop, try this.
00:11Tap, tap, clap, clap, tap, tap, clap, clap. It's a drama game, an English name drama
00:19game and it's really simple to play. All you need to do is have your students
00:23seated on the floor with you and you're going to introduce this rhythm tap tap
00:27clap clap and you're going to go through it a few times until anybody
00:30simultaneously is tapping and clapping then you're going to introduce your name
00:35my name is Miranda my name is Miranda and you're going to go around the circle so
00:41the student next to you is going to introduce their name too while
00:44anybody is continually tapping and clapping my name is Pietro my name is
00:50Pietro you're going to go around the group then when everybody has said their
00:55name two times you're going to go again but this time a little bit faster and
00:59only one time my name is Miranda my name is Pietro my name is Julia my name is
01:07Lara okay once you've done that you can go faster and faster it's a great little
01:12icebreaker it gets students focused and also getting to know each other and
01:16speaking in English give it a go let me know how you get on and until next time
