00:00The Oklahoma City Thunder are the youngest team on average age in the NBA.
00:05You look at their starting five.
00:06The MVP, Shea Gilgis-Alexander, 26.
00:09Lou Dort, also 26.
00:11Jalen Williams, 24.
00:13Chet Holmgren, 23 in his second fully healthy year in the NBA.
00:18And even the offseason acquisition of the big man, Isaiah Hartenstein,
00:22he's only 27 years old.
00:25With that on paper, and Oklahoma City expected to win this NBA championship,
00:30again, a minus 700 favorite to do exactly that,
00:33are we seeing the start of a special and significant run for this Thunder franchise?
00:39So buy or sell to you, Donnie Wright's side.
00:41The Oklahoma City Thunder Corps will win three-plus NBA championship.
00:47I'm selling that.
00:48I'm selling that, too, because there is a salary cap.
00:50Not necessarily a cap, but how much you want to spend for a small market team.
00:53But also, how hard is it to win championships?
00:56Look at the Boston Celtics and their payroll and the amount of talent they have.
01:00They must have five or six championships with Jason Tatum.
01:02They got one.
01:03And that might be all the Celtics get, which is incredible,
01:06because you can never plan for the future of you being healthy
01:09and everybody playing the exact same way.
01:11It's hard to go through an entire season.
01:13Understand this when we talk about the NFL.
01:15It's like, boy, one team plays in week one,
01:17one team goes all the way to the Super Bowl.
01:19Now that offseason is even shorter at that point to try to get ready for next year.
01:23Then you have the target on your back.
01:24Other teams are going to retool.
01:26So you have to be not only as good, but probably even better just to get back
01:29to the NBA Finals in the next year.
01:32You might have changed my opinion if it said, okay,
01:34have a two-plus NBA championships with the score,
01:37because we're counting one for this year,
01:39which means maybe we can steal another one in the next three to four years,
01:42which would be amazing to have two championships within five years in the NBA.
01:46But for me, I'm going to have to sell that,
01:48because three-plus championships is hard enough for any group,
01:51non-salary cap.
01:53Everybody's young.
01:53I don't care.
01:54It's almost impossible to do in this day and age
01:57without maybe the best player of all time.
01:58Let's talk about maybe a Michael Jordan back in the 90s.
02:01Did it twice, three and three, having a year off there with retirement here.
02:05So for me, it's a great basketball team.
02:07They might get two, but I got to sell three.
02:09That's a lot.
