00:00And you're going to go to Puff Daddies.
00:01In the 90s, do you understand what that's like?
00:04Welcome to Ms. Mojo.
00:05And today we're looking at the biggest names in the entertainment industry
00:08who have become entangled in the sprawling criminal case against Sean Diddy Combs.
00:12But I was just celebrating when the world was celebrating him.
00:15So why am I being crucified or why am I being separated?
00:20Cassie Ventura.
00:21The numerous allegations against Sean Diddy Combs might have remained hidden
00:25if not for Cassie Ventura's decision to speak out.
00:27In November 2023, the singer filed a lawsuit accusing him of physical and sexual assault.
00:33He used illegal substances and threats of violence to force Ms. Ventura
00:37into repeated unwanted sexual encounters with male sex workers.
00:41Although that case was quickly settled,
00:43Ventura became a crucial witness for the prosecution in Combs' trial.
00:47Over four days of testimony, she described Combs as controlling and violent,
00:52claiming he coerced her into participating in his so-called freak-offs
00:55to the extent that they became her job.
00:57Ventura said she did not feel she had much of a choice but to participate,
01:01that she feared that Combs would retaliate or potentially blackmail her if she did not.
01:07She further alleged that when she tried to leave him in 2018,
01:10Combs sexually assaulted her and threatened the rapper she was dating.
01:14Ventura's detailed testimony, as well as the surveillance footage showing Combs physically
01:18assaulting her, are central to the prosecution's case.
01:21Of course, the surveillance video of the hotel assault is the most important piece,
01:25but now we're seeing the prosecutors use some other pieces of evidence,
01:28selfies, text messages, emails, things that were on Cassie Ventura's phone,
01:32because they want the jury to believe her unconditionally.
01:35Kid Cudi.
01:36Grammy-winning rapper Kid Cudi became entangled in the case
01:39due to his brief relationship with Cassie Ventura in 2011.
01:42Taking the stand to testify about what the prosecution claims are criminal actions
01:47committed by Combs during Mescidi's brief relationship with Cassie Ventura in 2011,
01:52during an apparent breakup between Cassie and Combs.
01:55When Combs found out about this relationship, he allegedly became furious,
01:59leading Cudi to take Ventura to a hotel for her safety.
02:02While there, Cudi received a call claiming Combs was at his house,
02:06but when he arrived, Combs was gone.
02:08Instead, Cudi discovered his Christmas presents had been opened,
02:11his dog was locked in the bathroom,
02:13and his security cameras had been repositioned.
02:16We're getting past some of the sex trafficking allegations,
02:19talking about a criminal enterprise that was allegedly engaged in committing crimes.
02:24And so Kid Cudi's testimony goes to
02:25trying to prove some of those predicate offenses.
02:28The following year, after his relationship with Ventura had ended,
02:32Cudi's car was destroyed by a Molotov cocktail,
02:35an incident he believes was orchestrated by Combs.
02:37The jury, well, they saw these images,
02:40and Cudi said it looked like the top had been cut open,
02:44and a Molotov cocktail was dropped inside.
02:47Although some have labeled Cudi a, quote,
02:49rat for testifying against Combs,
02:51he has also received widespread support from fans.
02:54Dawn Ripchard.
02:55She witnessed Combs allegedly beating his ex-girlfriend,
02:58Cassie Ventura, on multiple occasions.
03:01Richard also says she told Ventura she should leave him,
03:03but did not intervene in their relationship,
03:05because she said she was told not to.
03:07Singer Dawn Richards' career began in 2004,
03:10when she was selected as a member of Danity Kane,
03:13a girl group formed under Sean Combs' Bad Boy Records.
03:16In September 2024, Richard also sued Combs,
03:20alleging that he had subjected her to inhumane working conditions
03:23and physically and sexually assaulted her during their time working together.
03:26In a damning new lawsuit, she's accusing her former mentor of sexual battery,
03:31forced labor, and gender-motivated violence.
03:34While that lawsuit is still ongoing,
03:36Richard was called to testify in Combs' trial.
03:39Over two days of testimony,
03:40she claimed to have witnessed Combs repeatedly assault Cassie Ventura,
03:44at times for speaking up for herself,
03:46and at other times without provocation.
03:48She added that Combs threatened she could, quote,
03:51go missing if she ever revealed what she had seen.
03:53That if she were to open her mouth about the abuse,
03:56something would happen to her.
03:58And the prosecution asked Dawn Richard,
04:01what do you think that meant?
04:03And she said that it meant, you know, he's threatening my life.
04:06Richard also testified to witnessing him assault his former partner, Kim Porter.
04:10Britney Spears
04:11Although Britney Spears is not directly involved in the case against Sean Combs,
04:16her name has come up at least once during the proceedings.
04:19We also have to talk about the jealousy that she talked about there on the stand
04:23in their relationship.
04:24And Cassie's concerned about being a side piece, not the main girl.
04:29In her testimony, Cassie Ventura stated that her relationship with Combs began
04:33when he unexpectedly kissed her during the 21st birthday party
04:36he threw for her at a Las Vegas club.
04:38According to Ventura,
04:39Combs arrived at the club with music producer Dallas Austin
04:42and pop star Britney Spears.
04:44Spears reportedly stayed there with Combs
04:46before leaving with him for another party hosted by 50 Cent.
04:48The night in question took place on September 7th, 2007,
04:52just two days before Spears delivered her widely criticized performance
04:55at the MTV Video Music Awards.
05:05Suge Knight
05:07The feud at the heart of the East Coast-West Coast hip-hop rivalry
05:10pitted Sean Combs and his New York City-based label Bad Boy Records
05:14against Suge Knight and his Los Angeles-based Death Row Records.
05:17I felt like the power that we had was so strong
05:20that I could do something so negative
05:22that it would really kind of mess things up.
05:25Although the beef was reportedly quashed in 1997,
05:28Knight's name still resurfaced during a testimony
05:30given by Combs' former personal assistant David James.
05:33James recalled a November 2008 incident
05:36in which he ran into Knight in a diner parking lot
05:38while out buying cheeseburgers for his boss.
05:41Knight was reportedly armed,
05:42which led him to rush back to Combs' house.
05:44Suge was at a place called Mel's Diner on the Sunset Strip,
05:49and they had bad, bad blood between each other.
05:54They hated each other.
05:55According to James,
05:57Combs then grabbed three handguns
05:59and ordered him to drive back to the diner,
06:01seemingly intent on confronting Knight.
06:03By the time they returned, however, Knight was gone.
06:05Did you guys have serious beef to the point
06:10where he might have used those guns, do you think?
06:13If he had confronted me and he had a gun,
06:16you best believe he was going to have to use it.
06:18Harv Pierre, a producer and record label executive,
06:21Harv Pierre worked with Sean Combs' Bad Boy Records
06:24right from its inception,
06:25and later served as its president from 2008 to 2017.
06:29And I just want to tell him thank you
06:30for all of the support over the years.
06:32Thank you for working hard.
06:32As the lawsuits against Combs began to surface,
06:39Pierre's name also emerged in connection
06:41with several of the allegations.
06:43He has been accused of participating
06:44in multiple incidents of sexual assault involving Combs,
06:47and was also named in Don Richards' lawsuit
06:49against the rapper.
06:50The more she thinks about that time,
06:52the more she has remembered
06:54that it was a really difficult moment in time for her,
06:57a terrible work environment,
06:59and memories that she repressed.
07:01In her testimony, Richard alleged that Pierre
07:04was one of several employees of Combs
07:06who witnessed him assault Cassie Ventura.
07:08She also claimed that Pierre joined Combs
07:10in pressuring her to remain silent
07:12about what she had seen.
07:13Then there were moments where they had talked about
07:15who witnessed these physical assaults,
07:17and Don Richard pointed out names such as Harv Pierre,
07:20who used to be the president of Bad Boy.
07:22Young Miami.
07:23Me and Karisha, we're dating,
07:24and we're just enjoying ourselves,
07:26and this is what comes with dating me.
07:28You know, sometimes we got to hit that red carpet.
07:29I'm just happy for her because it's her first one.
07:32Between 2021 and 2024,
07:35Young Miami had an on-again, off-again relationship
07:38with Sean Combs.
07:39When asked about the allegations against him,
07:41she excluded herself,
07:42stating that she never experienced that side of him.
07:45And I can't speak on something that I don't know.
07:47I can't speak on these allegations
07:49because I wasn't around at the time.
07:51I don't know that person,
07:53and that wasn't my experience.
07:54However, she was soon pulled into the controversy
07:57when she was named in two separate lawsuits against Combs.
08:00The first, filed by his producer, Rodney Jones Jr.,
08:04alleged that Young Miami transported narcotics for Combs
08:07and also acted as a sex worker for him.
08:09The second, brought by a Jane Doe,
08:11claimed that after Combs sexually assaulted
08:13and impregnated the plaintiff,
08:15Young Miami repeatedly harassed her
08:17and pressured her to have an abortion.
08:19The rapper's name was on a list of high-profile individuals
08:22presented to potential jurors at the start of Combs' trial.
08:25People felt like I was Diddy's biggest cheerleader
08:28and I made him my brand.
08:31And I felt like Diddy was on brand for me.
08:35Kanye West.
08:36What sounds like Combs,
08:37appearing to reference jail life
08:39during the phone call with Kanye,
08:41which was obtained by The Shade Room.
08:43In the call, Combs encourages Kanye
08:44to get back to his music
08:46and thanks him for reaching out to his kids.
08:48Another name that reportedly appeared on the list
08:50shown to potential jurors was Kanye West,
08:53although it is not quite clear
08:54if the rapper is directly connected to the case.
08:57Nevertheless, West remains one of only a handful of celebrities
09:01who have publicly come out in support of Sean Combs.
09:04In February 2025,
09:05while on an anti-Semitic rant on social media,
09:08West tweeted that Combs should be released from jail.
09:11On its own,
09:12might have been controversial
09:13and would have gotten him
09:15all the attention and headlines he wanted,
09:16which was saying
09:17that he wants Diddy out of jail.
09:20The following month,
09:21he released a song titled
09:22Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,
09:25featuring vocals from both his daughter North and Combs.
09:28In a since-deleted tweet,
09:29Kanye shared a text exchange allegedly from Kim
09:32threatening legal action to block the release of the song,
09:35which also features Diddy's son King Combs.
09:38Following Kid Cudi's testimony,
09:40West called him out on Twitter,
09:41saying he wished Cudi hadn't taken the stand
09:43and offering prayers for Combs and his family.
09:46Usher
09:46Sean Combs was instrumental in Usher's rise to superstardom.
09:50He reportedly gave Usher a place to stay
09:52when his record label considered dropping him
09:54and served as executive producer
09:56on Usher's self-titled debut album.
09:58Does he have you doing any chores?
10:00Are you doing dishes at all?
10:01I mean, to keep you humble somewhat?
10:03Or are you just like,
10:04can you stay up till four in the morning with them and party?
10:06I mean, I could.
10:07I actually stayed up longer than them.
10:09Although Usher doesn't appear to have been directly involved
10:11in any of the alleged incidents surrounding Combs,
10:13singer Don Richard testified that he witnessed at least one.
10:17According to Richard,
10:19Usher was present during a 2010 incident
10:21at a West Hollywood restaurant
10:22in which Combs allegedly struck Cassie Ventura in the stomach.
10:25He wasn't the only high-profile figure at the restaurant that day.
10:29Richard also named singer Neo,
10:31record executive Jimmy Iovine,
10:32and rapper Big Daddy Kane as witnesses.
10:34When Richard and Ventura got into a car to leave
10:37after the alleged restaurant incident,
10:39Richard said another physical altercation took place
10:42between Combs,
10:43who has pleaded not guilty to all charges,
10:45and his then-girlfriend.
10:47However, none of them intervened that day.

11:06Jay-Z
11:06In December 2024,
11:08Jay-Z found himself being roped into the controversies
11:11involving fellow hip-hop mogul Sean Combs.
11:13A civil lawsuit filed by a Jane Doe
11:15accused both men of sexually assaulting her
11:17at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in 2000.
11:20The young woman says she was drugged
11:22and that Sean Combs aggressively approached
11:25with a crazed look in his eyes,
11:27grabbed her and said,
11:29you are ready to party.
11:30Jay-Z strongly denied the allegations,
11:33calling them a blackmail attempt.
11:35Soon after,
11:35several inconsistencies in the woman's story emerged,
11:38including evidence showing that Jay-Z and Combs
11:40were in separate locations on the night in question.
11:43Her father had driven her to the location.
11:45The father then said he didn't really remember doing that,
11:48so there weren't enough facts
11:51to establish what she alleged.
11:53In February 2025,
11:55Jay-Z sued Tony Busby,
11:57the attorney representing the accuser,
11:59claiming that the allegations had cost him
12:01$20 million in contracts.
12:03Just days later,
12:04the plaintiff dropped her own lawsuit against Jay-Z,
12:07and the case was dismissed with prejudice.
12:09It remains unclear if the rapper will be called upon
12:11to testify in Combs' trial.
12:13Are you following the Diddy trials?
12:15What has been the most shocking revelation so far?
12:18Let us know in the comments below.
12:19Where Rashard said,
12:21I observed Cassie being attacked,
12:23and then when asked who attacked Cassie,
12:26she answered,
12:27she was attacked by Sean Combs.
