00:11This film was released in 1978 and is even more relevant today after 47 years.

00:19The story of the film is from before independence.

00:23This is the story of Ranjit who gets tired of wandering around in search of a job.

00:29Ranjit was a handicapped person, used scrunchies to work.

00:33He has a mother, younger brother and sister at home who must be waiting with great hope

03:11His father was a lawyer who throughout his life fought for the poor.

03:18That's why he had no money.

03:20And one day he passed away and after which it was revealed that the ancestral house was

03:28mortgaged which they failed to get rid of and then they went to a rented house.

03:36Then Ranjit started searching for a job which he never got.

03:41Ranjit had a girlfriend, Rama, who was very rich.

03:44She asked her father to help Ranjit but he made fun of Ranjit, insulted him which Ranjit

03:54failed to tolerate.

03:57Then a rift was developed in their relationship.

04:01Then Ranjit joined the army and during a war he lost his legs, became handicapped and after

04:07that his and his family's condition worsens due to which he committed suicide out of frustration.

04:17Then captain told his story, he was a freedom fighter and killed by some British officers.

04:26His soul is not free just because he wants to see his nation achieve the freedom and after

04:32that he will be free.

04:34Then captain shows Ranjit two lovers who committed suicide just to be united but that did not happen

04:41after death.

04:44Even conditions became more confusing because behind them came another lover of that girl

04:51and after him, his wife, they both also committed suicide.

04:56So now these people will keep getting entangled like this because committing suicide is not

05:03a solution.

05:05Then captain shows an Englishman, Anderson, who was in love with a dancer, Razia, due to

05:11which one day he became a victim of the Krantikari's bullet.

05:17His soul is also wandering because he is not free from Razia's love.

05:23So as long as Razia is in this world, Anderson's soul will also be there.

05:30Then Ranjit sees his mother, brother and sister going in a rally after joining the freedom

05:35struggle where a British officer suits them and they died.

06:23Just then Rama reaches there who had left her father and they all together left that house.

06:29While leaving, Ranjit sees a man reading a newspaper.
