Custom Green Camaro Sits On Massive 32-inch Rims

CAR-lover Corey Jones has customised his Camaro with a massive set of 32-inch rims. Corey from Illinois, has been building custom cars for six years. He got his first car at age 17 and since then has owned over ten custom cars - but considers his green Camaro his best build to date. He believes his car, which features rims twice as big as the standard set, has inspired his hometown of Chicago, USA to join a new car culture.

00:00From its slick green paint job to its eye-catching rims, Corey Jones' car is causing a stir in his hometown of Chicago.

00:21I actually took a whole city and helped put them on the map for the car game.

00:26Corey has been building custom cars since 2008 and believes his green Camaro inspired others

00:32in the city. He first noticed the craze for big rims coming out of Florida, USA.

00:38I just kind of fed off of what was going on out there and wanted to bring it to my city.

00:44When it came to customizing his own car, Corey knew exactly what he wanted.

00:49I designed the whole car from top to bottom. I like big rims on cars. Like, it's, it's

00:56amazing to see a Camaro on 32-inch rims. Once I got a visual of the color I wanted to go,

01:02I went to my painter and we mixed up some paint until I got the color that I wanted.

01:06And it came out better than I wanted.

01:09But Corey's Camaro is not just about big rims and a unique paint job. The interior of the

01:14car is also bespoke, including custom speakers and TV screens in the doors and dashboard.

01:20Even standard door handles are too ordinary for this car.

01:24These buttons here, open the door, pop them open.

01:27It took him about a month and a half to paint it. It took him four days to do the interior

01:32and about three days to do the door panels.

01:35His Camaro, worth an estimated $95,000, was customized at the car shop where Corey and

01:42his friend Rico work.

01:43Corey's a perfectionist, you know, he wants this vehicle to look a certain way and that's,

01:47that's what we're known for. That's what a lot of people know us from. It's unique,

01:51you know, there's nothing like it. A lot of people assume that, you know, you put big

01:54wheels on a car, it's always going to rub, and that's not the case with this car.

01:56I'm used to it, so it performs as if I had the regular rims on there. Like, you got to

02:01make sure that the job is done right, so I have no problem turning. I can do a full U-turn.

02:06Corey is constantly approached by people on the street and has won awards for his tricked-out ride.

02:12Actually, I won a lot of awards this year. Pretty much every car show I went to this year.

02:17This is the most important trophy to me, because I've been going a lot of years and haven't

02:22took a trophy from there. And it was second place domestic mile at the Chicago dub show.

02:31Camaro is the hottest car out, in my opinion. I just love it.
