00:00There are certainly members in your conference who want to see steeper cuts than what are included in this proposal that came before from the House.
00:08You have yourself suggested to your conference that perhaps there could be more you could do on the Medicaid side of things.
00:14Is that something that you guys are looking at in the Republican conference?
00:17Do you see further cuts to Medicaid coming to the Senate bill?
00:19We are running all the traps to make sure that we have as robust of a bill as possible coming out of the Senate.
00:26I think the House made good headway on a number of fronts, but we think there are areas in the federal government, areas of waste, fraud, and abuse that we can further identify that would make that a more robust package.
00:41And obviously we have members, as you point out, who have their own opinions about how to do this.
00:46But at the end of the day, the math is very simple.
00:48It's 51 in the Senate and 218 in the House in order to get a bill on the President's desk.
00:52And so as we work through that process, we're going to have our eye on that prize, and that is getting 51 in 218.
