00:00Yesterday, Stephon Diggs made his return and was in attendance in Foxborough for voluntary OTAs.
00:09Now, who among us has not partied it up a little bit on a weekend
00:14and shown up a little bit late for work and been slightly distracted?
00:19Stephon Diggs is back.
00:21He is in attendance at voluntary OTAs.
00:24Now, can we just go back to the tweet graphic we had right there?
00:27The helmet looks like it's about to eat the tweet.
00:30Like, that's a large Patriots helmet right there on your screen.
00:35I love that with an indication of what exactly Steph Diggs is returning to.
00:41Yeah, you know what?
00:42It's never a good thing to be an outside distraction to a new football team,
00:46and that's what you're getting here.
00:47I don't know if anybody's going to ask him direct that.
00:49By the way, I'm sure he didn't meet the media because only, like, select players,
00:52like maybe a quarterback, defensive coordinator, offensive coordinator.
00:54Like, what are the questions that the media wants to ask Stephon Diggs?
00:57I'm pretty sure it's not, hey, how's your knee?
01:01Welcome back.
01:01It's like, what were you handing out on that boat there?
01:04Like, can we just get it?
01:05All I want to know is like an explanation.
01:07Like, does he just say no comment?
01:09Or does he go like, look, like this stuff is so diabolical,
01:12like they can't even test for it because they don't know what it is yet?
01:14Or just like, how do you even handle that?
01:16Like, how do you tell your employer?
01:17It's like, what were you doing on that boat?
01:19What did you have in your hand?
01:20Like, what's like, it was pop rocks.
01:22Like, what do you even explain it as at that point?
01:26Yeah, I don't know if the first question would be, what is to see?
01:29And how exactly is it ingested?
01:33I'm not entirely sure, DRS, how that would go.
01:36My guess is knowing how New England operates,
01:40even in the post-Bill Belichick era,
01:42because Rabel is his disciple,
01:45that Stephon Diggs will not be made available to the media
01:47at any point throughout voluntary OTAs.
01:51Maybe the next time we hear from Diggs
01:53is either through himself individually
01:56or at a certain point later this summer.
01:59Donnie, do you think it would be wise at all
02:02for New England to cut him?
02:04Like, do you think Stephon Diggs will play a game
02:06for the Patriots in 2025?
02:09I do.
02:09I think they, I'm not saying they would have done it already.
02:12That doesn't make sense.
02:13But you might say, all right, if your knee isn't all the way back,
02:16maybe we make a different decision because of off the field.
02:19But as long as you're not intro, the one thing we do know is
02:21if you have talent and you can help a football team
02:24and you're not behind bars, they will let you play in the NFL.
02:27It's just the way it is.
02:29So if you had like, I mean, put like, change this up
02:31and say, all right, the best quarter,
02:32let's just say Patrick Mahomes was in the same situation.
02:36Andy Reid would be like, hey, you know what?
02:37We don't like that, but they're going to cut him?
02:40Like, no, like, look how long it took to cut Justin Tucker down there
02:43for the Baltimore Ravens because like, hey, can he still kick field goals?
02:46Because it's worth the PR hit that we're going to take.
02:50And that, of course, with Justin Tucker,
02:52far more serious allegations than anything happening
02:54with Stephon Diggs at this moment.
02:57To Donnie's point, it might not be the best look.
03:00And again, we're still not really sure
03:02what that unidentified pink substance is,
03:05but he's not in any legal trouble at this moment.
