South Koreans began voting Tuesday (June 3) for a new president, capping six months of political upheaval following ex-leader Yoon Suk Yeol's disastrous declaration of martial law.
Turnout is expected to be high with polls open from 6am to 8pm local time, following early voting on Thursday (May 29) and Friday (May 30) when more than a third of the 44.39 million eligible voters cast their ballots.
