00:00we all in we we make no apologies for being a bit of a gang on stage because
00:09adolescence was made by a gang and we're a really weird show and it's a really
00:17weird show for you to have embraced like this we were a show that was made in
00:21Pontefract just outside of Doncaster for those that know the British Isles and
00:29and and we were a show that was made with love real real love um I'd like to
00:36thank the brilliant Netflix for showing such faith in us Ted and Bella and the
00:44British team of Anne and Mona and Toby I'd like to thank the amazing plan B Jeremy
00:52and Didi and the wonderful Nina I'd like to thank Mark Herbert our exceptional
00:58leader from warp who led us fearlessly every step of the way and finally for
01:04me you're gonna hear from Steven who's much more interesting finally for me I
01:08just want to say um I love Steven Graham he is he is a beautiful man this is the
01:16sixth thing we've worked on together and every time he surprised me with his
01:23humanity and his care and his courage and this is the first time he worked as a
01:30writer and a creator on a show and he has taught me so much there is a small
01:36height differential between us but he is by far the bigger man
01:45I'm sorry honestly we're overwhelmed for you to embrace us the way you have it means the world
01:59honestly it really does this was a small colloquial piece that was made with love respect humility and
02:08dignity and we treated the subject with a lot of passion but a lot of care uh the
02:12youth are our future do you know what I mean I think it was Gil Scott Hedden who said save the children
02:18which is you know a man after my own heart um we have an obligation to make sure that our children
02:24have a future um and I think as performers and as artists we have an opportunity and an obligation to
02:32make great art and it just shows no matter how small the story is if you make it with love and
02:39care and conviction it can go right across the world as he said you know we made this in a little
02:44place called Pontefract I didn't even know where it was and I live in England um but I'd also like to
02:53thank once again my wonderful wife Hannah um and Joe Johnson and Emily from Warp who were our amazing
03:01beautiful outstandingly wonderful executive producers who held this whole thing together
03:08like a glue um I'd like to really thank Erin from the bottom of my heart for one of the most
03:13wonderful performances I've ever seen
03:21this I know look I know most of us say when you're on a job it's like a family but this really
03:26was like a family and it just shows you look I've been number 75 on a script on a call sheet
03:33and with our show we wanted to rip the rule book up and throw it out the fucking window
03:37it doesn't matter if you're number one or number 202 you are a fucking human being who's there to give
03:43your all so I think we should treat each other with the respect and the dignity that that that this
03:50job demands but we're all misfits we're all little strangers from little weird places but this is
03:57where we have our opportunity to show what we can do so once again thank you all from the bottom of my
04:02heart um thank you very much namaste
04:19you
