01:25It shows you to an unconscious level that she was unable to differentiate the abuse of his

01:30authority that he even comes into her dreams and takes over.

01:34So no, Bill, Bill, you don't understand at all.

01:39I think people need to read science-based articles on coercive control.

01:44I mean, there are so many articles that are coming out of Harvard University that talk

01:48about complex post-traumatic stress disorder and how the accrual of abuse over time leads

01:53a person to not trust their intuition, to feel foggy, to be very confused.

01:59The captivity isn't just physical.

02:01And I think that's what Bill is missing.

02:03The captivity is internal.

02:04It's you no longer trusting your gut, you not finding the words, you not finding your

02:09voice, not trusting your support system and inability to reach out to them because you're

02:15so psychologically manipulated by the abuser.
