An appeal has been made on social media to track down a ‘numpty’ who unashamedly churned up a Pembrokeshire football pitch, by spinning around the ground in broad daylight. Tenby resident Claire Stubbs shared a video on Facebook of a VW driver, with a surfboard on the roof, seemingly spending part of their afternoon, deliberately churning up parts of the pitch that is home to Manorbier FC. “Anyone know this numpty skidding around churning up the football pitch in Manorbier? It was approx 12.30pm today (Monday, June 2),” she said in a post that has since been shared nearly 150 times. It prompted outrage online, with one person posting: “That’s disgusting and shameful - should be punished!” Even local police officer and Tenby RNLI deputy coxwain, Rob Garland couldn’t resist wading in with fury, posting on Facebook: “Can’t be too many black VW Polos/Golfs about, with surf boards on the roof? What an absolute bell end.”
