Srinagar, June 2, 2025 (ANI): Speaking on the issue of rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley, Jammu and Kashmir PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti on June 2 said that it is a long-drawn process. She also said that it is the best way to empower them if govt also gives them a reservation in the assembly elections. “.... I told them that people with less serious charges against them lodged in jails should be released ahead of Eid....,” said Mehbooba Mufti. “It is a long-drawn process. We have started something. Kashmiri Pandits contested in the Panchayat elections. If you also give them a reservation in the assembly elections, then that is the best way to empower them....,” she added on the issue of rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandits in the valley.
